Jon Walters is a slight doubt for Stoke’s trip to Norwich. Andros Townsend is ruled out for Tottenham. Reece Oxford is doubtful for West Ham, Newcastle’s Moussa Sissoko is struggling to be fit for the trip to United, whilst Garry Monk will make a late decision on the fitness of Ki Sung-yeung.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Jon Walters is a slight concern for the weekend with illness, though the attacker has returned to training. Hughes also commented on Bojan’s availability, suggesting that the Spaniard could be “involved in some capacity” against the Canaries.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Andros Townsend will miss the Leicester trip after suffering a minor ankle problem, having previously been sidelined by a shoulder injury.

Slaven Bilic will be without Mauro Zarate at the weekend, with the forward suffering a hamstring injury in training. Zarate revealed on his official twitter page that he expects to miss the Hammers’ next two matches. Reece Oxford is a doubt after missing a few days training with a niggle, according to the club’s official website. Adrian serves the first of a three-match ban after being sent off against Leicester last week.

Newcastle are sweating on the availability of Moussa Sissoko ahead of the weekend trip to Old Trafford. The midfielder came off in the loss to Swansea last week with a groin complaint and hopes to recover in time to be involved against Man United. Elsewhere Siem de Jong has returned to training for the Magpies, while Paul Dummett also joined in with the group as he steps up his recovery.

Leicester welcome back Mark Schwarzer, with the experienced stopper having recovered from illness after missing out last weekend. Christian Fuchs took a knock in training, but it is believed to be nothing serious and Claudio Ranieri expects the defender to train today and be in contention for the weekend.

Marouane Chamakh remains sidelined for Palace despite stepping up his recovery from a hamstring problem with a midweek run out for the reserves. Bakary Sako is set to be included in the squad for the visit of Villa.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Everton have picked up no new injuries ahead of the visit of City. Kevin Mirallas is now 100% fit – the Belgian was fielded as a sub last time out after being forced off with an ankle injury in the season opener with Watford.

Bournemouth’s Harry Arter could return to training next week, though manager Eddie Howe conceded he could be “some way off” a first-team comeback.

Ki Sung-yeung has returned to training after stepping up his recovery from a hamstring injury. Garry Monk has confirmed he will make a final decision on the Korean’s fitness after today’s training session.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream as breaking news unfolds.

I've seen lots of wildcard teams with Gomez. Do you think he's still nailed on in GW6 + GW7 (probably the games you're buying him for) ?

I think he is nailed enough for a punt, there are plenty of options out there at 4.5m if you have to ship out in a few weeks.
Was at the game on Monday and he seemed to be part of an attempt to be more solid at the back with only Clyne really pushing forward when we had the ball. I think Moreno will come back in if we switch to 3 at the back but for the moment with the greater defensive solidity Gomez is a decent FPL option.

It's been nice to gain some value and avoid drops while my wild card has been active.
Could it be calm before the storm tough?

Looks like wild card transfers won't count for rises or drops so I believe we have only one double rise for this week atm.

And when you remember how many falls we have had everyday even without wc transfers, I'm starting to get bit nervous to wait what happens if/when Kompany, Payet, Gomis, Mahrez starts to blank and we see some new beautiful flowers blossoming....

Like someone wrote, no drop is a new rise.

Is it crazy to consider having two 4.5m midfield options - probably westwood, and wanyama in order to have both Hazard and Sanchez and another 8.5-9m midfielder.

    With Aguero, Benteke and Sakho.

I would still play 3-4-3, rotating the two 4.5m midfielder, both are nailed on for 2/3 points a week

but with Hazard and Sanchez you sure have the top 2 point scoring mids in the game, so it'll balance out over the season, and be more fun

With Hazard, Sanchez and Aguero I should have enough to cover the standard 2/3 from the playing 4.5 mid surely?

    11. Amateur Pundit Zan
      • 13 Years
      10 years, 5 months ago

Better off with mahrez + ayew / payet. Or you could get mahrez + silva over hazard. Or downgrade tekkers > gomis and get mahrez. I think mahrez is good value for a 4th mid, have i mentioned that?

      1. HamezMace
        • 11 Years
        10 years, 5 months ago

I'm not getting on the Mahrez wagon, he has started well but I didn't have him from GW1 so I've missed his points/price rises, and he won't keep up this form, I predict 1 - 2 goals in his next 10 games.

Although I agree that perhaps Hazard, Sanchez, Chadli and Tadic, and a downgrade from Benteke might be an option

Myhill or Butland? Leaning towards Myhill due to amount of shots WBA concede from outside the area, hence upping his save count quite easily. Also having nightmare flashbacks of getting Stoke defenders last season due to their good fixtures and stats, only for them to concede once every single time.

I thought about this one a lot and I'd go Myhill for seemingly better upside though a greater risk (Marshall/Henn/Foster). If Stoke do tighten then a 4.5 defender is available, unlike WBA (Olsson/Fazio).

Quality team. Kolarov, Gomez and Romero is a bit too many rotation risks for me, in combination with your non playing 3rd forward, might mean a barren bench at times.

Anyone consider Davies from Spurs as an option? 4.5? Any better options at that price?

Hi Guys, this is my WC team for this week. Based on the display from Depay against Brugges, I'm so tempted to replace Silva with him this GW and probably Depay>Silva GW4..

    Appreciate your comments 🙂

    McCarthy (Mignolet)
    Targett KOLAROV DARMIAN (RICHARDS, GOMEZ)
    SILVA Mahrez SANCHEZ PAYET AYEW
    GOMIS AGUERO (KONE)

    0.5 ITB.

silva --> yaya and upgrade kone. also, targett has few games left him in. otherwise looks good.

Dont you think Depay will have more scoring chances this GW against a poor Newcastle as compared to Yaya against a strong Everton defence?

      2/2
      2/3
      1/3
2/2 = 7/10 Nice team. More value may be had in midfield ...

2 Leicester defenders would be a slight concern. And personally not sold on Diouf, but think he could be a good pick.

Mane or Ozil?? Mane has had lots of shots and touches in the box so far and with his good fixtures tempted to have him over Ozil...whats everyone reckon??

Gents, what's the general consensus on who's going up and down tomorrow?? I have been trying to play the market to make some $$ on this WC and it's been damn tough to predict.

I read somewhere on here i think a few days ago that the WC transfers ins and outs did not affect players price movements? Is that true? Guess it would make sense seeing Rooney/Haz/Mane and the likes have not dropped!

So list who you think is going up/down... gogogogogo 🙂
