The last-minute August transfer window move to QPR seems to have offered Shaun Wright-Phillips a new lease of life. The winger cut a forlorn figure on the periphery of Roberto Mancini’s title-challenging Man City but, plucked from his Etihad Stadium nightmare by Neil Warnock, Wright-Phillips has been handed the chance to resurrect his career. Under the guidance of a manager with complete faith in his abilities, he is already making an impact at Loftus Road.

    Rooney RVP (c) Dzeko

Petrov's 3 assists came against Man City and Liverpool so i have no problem playing him against Arsenal, seems to be in better form than Jarvis too.

This is annoyingly true. Despite all the starts I'm not sure that AVB is at all convinced with him though. Being substituted against Leverkusen and United, when in both games we needed goals, doesn't exactly bode well for the future. A lot depends on what happens with Lampard to be honest.. If Mata is moved back into the central midfield three, then Sturridge virtually has to play, with him and Anelka out wide. If not then I'd rather Mata and Anelka over Sturridge every day of the week.

I took a punt on Sturridge over Gabby and I regret it really despite the fixture this week. Sturridge doesn't look comfortable on the wide right. I can see Anelka getting the nod this week. Bit too soon to write Malouda off too.

He's certainly a risk, but it would be a cheeky double of Ramsey & Benayoun for me. Could work out a treat with our fixtures.

With Dzeko, Suarez, Young, Mata, Baines & Kompany it's hard to know if, where or how to reshuffle to fit Roonpig in.

I have 2 free transfers this week but not sure i want to use any of them. Seems a waste though.

Might do Brunt to Barton or Murphy just to use it up. Worth it?

why not. I've Sunderland's Brown...he's fairly reliable too. Sunderland I think rotate nicely with Newcastle still...but may need to get some confirmation from the boys in the lab for that one.

If I were you though I'd consider a swansea defender...they seem to be doing the business at home. I'm considering that mr rangel chap myself when the time comes to shift baines pts into midfield.

If Fat Frank and Drogs are both off the pitch whos next up for penos at Chelski? Anelka can take one can't he? I know Mata took them for the Spanish U21s but that's just wishful thinking surely? Torres isn't a penalty taker and never has been right?

Yup, can't see it being Torres. Can't remember ever seeing him take a penalty.

To be honest, I'm not sure of the answer. Anelka has taken some incredibly casual penalties in his time at Chelsea, mostly successfully although obviously with one noticeable exception.

There's no guarantee that Lampard won't continue to be a Chelsea starter though, but if he is benched for a while, then whoever does take over the penalties responsibility will become a great FPL option. Penalties made Lampard worth 12/13 million for the last couple of seasons, so whoever takes over from him should do very well, especially as they'll be much cheaper than him.

Very tempted by young Wright Philips, but am still convinced Taarabt might just start producing returns having hit the bar a few times now, and with his threat indicator being quite high, and I also reckon people will start going for SWP and Barton in the next 3-4 weeks dropping Taarabt and ignoring him in the transfer market, he is on pens, as soon as he gets one, or any type of a goal, the bandwagon starts again! Just my view of course.

My team for this is week:

    Hennessey or Vorm
    Bosginwa//Enrique//Simpson//Warnock
    Taarabt//Young//Arteta
    RVP//Rooney(C)//Adebayor

    Dyer//Jarvis//DeLaet

If I had a choice, I would certainly go with Barton or SWP, but at this stage, I am happy to keep Taarabt, his stats show that he is threatening, he is suffering a little with the expectations tagged on him from the start of the season, like Sinclair and his pen last weekend, I think the first goal could be all he needs to kick on, but we always say that, so who knows!

Likewise, Johnny. He's bound to do a Sinclair sometime soon, but till then it's a classic damned if you do, damned if you don't scenario.

Those SWP stats sound incredible, but they're based on a pretty small data sample.

Taarabt is an excellent football player!

    Have 2 free transfers

    Thinking of doing

Van Persie, Nasri, Dzecko > Aguero, Silva, Adeboyour

Stupid move? Im not really happy about it, but i doubt ill have another chance as wildcard is already played and Aguero/Silva seem more nailed on than Nasri/ Dzecko for the long term.

I just know that if i do it RVP, Nasri and Dzecko will all score big this week after doing nothing the last 2

I would say there is no need to do the Dzeko -> Adebayor switch for the hit (unless you need to lose a City player).

In that case I would contemplate downgrading Nasri to keep RvP and do Dzeko -> Aguero

      OR

Keep Nasri this GW, and do that sub next week.

Overall, I just don't see the point of a 4 point hit with those subs, when you can just roll one over to next week.

          Nasri -> Silva costs 0.3

    http://www.footballradar.co.uk/job_student.html

I'm so applying for this job in a couple of years.

A bachelor's student in your 3rd or 4th year, or in your master's studies. Your field of study must involve a lot of mathematics (economics, physics, computer engineering or similar). In addition we expect you to have proven already, that you are hardworking and intelligent by having obtained numerous A grades.

Check. Well, in a couple of years time.

You are a TRUE football geek. Everybody loves football so holding a season ticket, playing football yourself, or having subscriptions to sports magazines won’t qualify you.

We want to see something extraordinary in order for you to be considered with this profile; Perhaps you have created your own football blog?; Perhaps you collect your own football statistics?; Perhaps you’ve written your master thesis in an exciting topic relating to football?

    Check.

I'd do that job. Only my maths knowledge isn't quite up there with the level they want.

My fantasy football expertise would probably be enough to get the job on it's own. 8)

About the only job application where you could put down "Won Fantasy football scout head to head second division league" as a legitimate qualification.

yes, that's what I'm asking. I have already Dzeko+RVP so I wonder which pair I should transfer in. In a) I'll have Arteta, Suarez and Dzeko and in b) Mata, Best and RVP

Ok, so I've got both Walcott and RVP by some horrible chance. My dilemma is, Walcott -> Mata or RVP -> Aguero or do both and take the hit? Already WC'd.

Good option. I'll captain Silva and sit tight and hope Aguero doesn't go nuts and knock in 3 again. What's the opinion on Baines?

The way i look at it, Arsenal may be playing badly but they are still scoring lots of goals and have some decent fixtures coming up so keep tight.

RMT for GW6 please criticism welcome!!

    Given, (Vorm)
    Bosingwa, Kompany, Smalling, Simpson, (Drury)
    Sila, Barton, Nani, (Dyer), (Ferguson)
    Aguero (C), Rooney, Suarez (V)

Normally play 3,4,3 but Dyer is not doing nothing against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge IMO.
