The last-minute August transfer window move to QPR seems to have offered Shaun Wright-Phillips a new lease of life. The winger cut a forlorn figure on the periphery of Roberto Mancini’s title-challenging Man City but, plucked from his Etihad Stadium nightmare by Neil Warnock, Wright-Phillips has been handed the chance to resurrect his career. Under the guidance of a manager with complete faith in his abilities, he is already making an impact at Loftus Road.
Who would you choose out:
Phil Jones + N Dyer
N Taylor + Joey BartonOpen ControlsTaylor & Barton. Sooner rather than later Jones goes back to the bench whereas Taylor will be in the side every week and Swansea are miserly at home

good transfers or wot??Open ControlsCesc has already assisted more goals (4) in LigaBBVA this season than Iniesta (3) in the whole of 2010/11. Crazy stat.
Open Controlsamazed by that, it's not like iniesta hardly played any games.
another one is aguero has as many man city hattricks as athletico madrid hattricksOpen ControlsCant argue against the stats.
Open ControlsFor the record, I absolutely do not think that Fabregas is overrated, I think he is one of the best players in the world and was the best player in the Premier League before he left.
It's the spanner below who thinks that Fabregas is overrated. 😉Open ControlsFor the record spanner, i actually don't think Fabregas is overrated. He's currently clearly one of the top 10 players in the world. I was saying so on here as a riposte to mfaulk and his rooney wumming, so there.
Nasri IS overrated, however.Open ControlsIs that sound of AP furiously backpedalling?
Yes.Open ControlsReally? Oh Dear, i think fabregas is good, but far from world class, definitely over rated.
Open ControlsWhile on the topic of top 10 best players in the world. Hit me.
1-4: Fairly obvious
5: Rooney (controversial)
6: Fabregas
7: Villa
8: David Silva
9: Thiago Silva
10: Ozil
I'm certain I left someone out, just from the top of my head.Open Controls1-4 Ronaldo, Messi, Xavi, Iniesta?
You can't really compare defenders to forwards in a list like this. I'd put Aguero instead of Villa too.Open ControlsExcluding the obvious 4:
Rooney, Fabregas, Piqué, David Silva, Thiago Silva, Schweinsteiger, Ibra, Ozil, Vidic and McShaneOpen Controls(not in order btw)
Open Controls
sneijder is better than Villa, silva (T) an Ozil
Open Controls
*flat track bully. And he's gone to the wrong league to try to prove that wrong 😉
Open Controls
Looks like there's some more fishing going on.
I'm retiring from fishing after my assertion earlier that Steve Bruce was a better coach than Wenger was spotted as an angling expedition earlier.Open Controls
Jarvis (liv)
Taarabt (AVL)
Moses (TOT)
which do I bench?Open ControlsMoses...the proven low scorer week in week out, out of those.
Open ControlsLast week Sinclair and Sess were driving owners crazy before they got a goal and assist respectively. Maybe its Moses and Nzog turn. 🙂
Open Controls
cheers lads.
i guess home games are home games ehOpen ControlsDefinitely start Taarabt but i'd doubt he'll play 90 mins. Liverpool's defence has looked shaky so i'd play Jarvis.
Wigan won't score many this season - already got a pen & 3 deflected Di Santo goals. Moses has 2 points written all over him.
Spurs kept 2 clean sheets in a row as well without Dawson.Open Controls
Any Swansea observers care to shed some light on this Rangel chap.
I'm looking for a makeweight next week for my Baines and cheapmid to Nani/Young plus cheap defender move.
Rangel's stats on FFS look impressive...does he offer more than clean sheets?Open ControlsHe has a great name, that alone means you should put him in your team.
2 goals and 4 assists in 40 appearances in the Championship last season.Open ControlsHey there Jonty, just logged on this second wondering what the "Keep Baines Camp" (rivals that of Deidre's in 97) is doing and I see you're looking to get rid. I think I am too (as my MF needs a major upgrade) for Naylor.
But so undecided still. Lot easier if Arteta was still at Everton.Open ControlsI'm keeping this week definitely as to remove him would mean a hit.
Having Ageuro, Baines, Dzeko and Kompany this week means I'm surely going to get something out of that game.
Meanwhile next week he must go. My midfield is cheap and chips and I can't rely on the likes of larsson and sinclair every week to get a huge haul. I need a silva/Nani/Young/Mata type player and I'm afraid Baines has to go with his appalling fixtures. I'll get him back though when they improve...such a great player to have.Open ControlsIn a very similar quandary. In short my MF does not make for nice reading: Moses, Dyer, Sess, Brunt and Walters. *squeams*
I am thinking 2 of Nani, Young and Silva. Probably Nani and Young as I have K which uses my City quota already.
Agonisingly I benched Dyer for Brunt (10 point swing) and captained Roo over Ag (9 point swing), which is a swing of 19 points. Thin lines and all that...Open Controls
the guy is a touch whore
Open Controls
Which would you pick?
A) De Gea, Arteta
B) Krul, NaniOpen ControlsSorry lost on previous page, can I get a yes or no guys?
4 point hit
BAINES>Brown
MOSES>Nani
SUAREZ>Adebayor (would keep suarez but need funds to get nani)
Friedel Vorn
Kompany Bosingwa Brown DeLaet Simpson
Silva Walcott Petrov Nani Ferguson
Dzeko Rooney AdebayorOpen ControlsKeep hold of Suarez. He's a great option for this GW. Baines is a half decent choice for Next GW. You'd be better off doing Dzeko -> Adebayor, and downgrading Baines...
Open Controls
So Utd fans what ja reckon the chances of a more robust Valencia starting instead of Nani at Stoke.
Open ControlsI'm not sure he would have started v Leeds if that was the plan, unless it was to improve his match fitness.
Open Controlsnot a chance
Open ControlsThen what about Young? I wouldn't exactly classify him a heavyweight build. Honestly I think Nani will start.
Open Controlsi think Valencia may start a few games at right back this season
Open ControlsNani had one of his best ever games against Chelski. No chance he'll get dropped unless his form goes or there is a fixture pile up.
Open Controls😕
Open ControlsJust Nani has been dropped after good performances plenty of times before.
Open ControlsBut he's more consistent now and is rightfully our 1st choice right winger.
Open ControlsHow can you tell if he's our first choice winger? 😕 Valencia's only back..
Open ControlsIf he's not, i'll eat my hat.
No way should Valencia get in ahead of Nani in the vein of form he's in. Plus he suits our fast paced, interchanging football better, considering Valencia is notoriously right footed.Open Controls
Example? Fergie usually never drops players in form, recent example being Anderson, Welbeck and Cleverley.
Open ControlsNear end of last season. A few times the year before, which was mainly down to consistency.
Open Controls
How did Ben Arfa look yesterday? Coming in at 5.4 he could be a bargain. Will get break in to the starting 11?
Open ControlsI'd say he'll be limited to sub appearances for the next while.
Open Controls
adlene guedioura. if wolves revert to 4-5-1 that man is a greedy, hyper-active shit who could be another option at 5mil
Open ControlsI've always thought he's looked quite good every time I've seen him play. Not considering him at all in FPL though, red card waiting to happen.
Open Controlscomes with the territory. that territory being nutter, his position when he plays is simply known as 'pitch' as he's everywhere
Open Controls
Torres, Shuarez and Best for FT per favore Ab.

What u gusy think about
A.Cole N'Zog > Mata/VdV J.Enrique
2 free transfers
or A.Cole Nzog > Nani 5.0 defOpen ControlsWish barton had gone to Arsenal, sure he is terribly hotheaded, but he is also a determined fighter. His never say die attitude would have made a great difference.
I think the same argument stands for him playing for England.Open ControlsMy team:
Given, Vorm
Kompany, Bosingwa, Jose Enrique, Simpson, Hall
Cahill, Silva, Hoolahan, Moses, Young
Fletcher, Dzeko, Rooney
Cahill and Fletcher have to go, then I have 15.5 to spend. Got 2 free transfers. Worried not having Aguero in my team.
A. Cahill + Fletcher > Adebayor + SWP
B. Cahill + Fletcher + Dzeko > Aguero + SWP + Best (4 p hit)
C. Cahill + Fletcher + Kompany > Aguero + Petrov + Brown (4 p hit)
Thanks!Open ControlsJust looked at FISO (apparently it is more accurate than FPL this year) and it would appear Young is on the rise again, tonight?
Open ControlsNah friday. He needs 3000 more, so far today he has had 920 transfers in
Open Controlsthat was based on the 4 O'clock reading but cba to change as it doesnt really matter
Open ControlsChange of name? Confusing
Open ControlsAh, yes sorry about that. The other was ridiculously long and a bit cumbersome. I still stand by my message, though: if there's anyone who has old team screenshots then please link them up to the site as I don't think I am the only who finds them fascinating.

Considering Using the good old WC this week
Got this team ATM
Vorm Ruddy
Bosingwa De Laet Smalling Kompany Simpson
Young SWP Jarvis Larsson Ferguson
Aguero Rooney Suarez
1.3m in the bank
Was thinking of doing Kompany->Ward and Smalling->Jones(If Jons starts instead of Smalling)
Also tinking of Larsson,Jarvis,Suarez and Young-> Adebayor,Sinclair,Nani and Silva
That wil leave me with this.
Vorm Ruddy
Jones Bosingwa Ward Simpson De Laet
Nani Silva Sinclair SWP Ferguson
Aguero Rooney Adebayor
With 0.6 in the bankOpen ControlsWho will be this seasons top goal scoring midfielder and how much?
Open ControlsSilva - 185.
Open Controls"goal scoring" ?? VDV or Nani for me
Open ControlsYeah not really FPL related. Lamps has been super consistent with this over the years. With him less likely this year, just wanted some opinions?
Open Controlsif VDV gets ahead of Adebayor for the Tap in's then he's a decent bet (pens aswell of course), That said Larsson could easily make double figures (and who is on pens at Sunderland now??)

New article from PFOR - Player of the year contenders?
http://footballorbust.wordpress.com/2011/09/21/player-of-the-year-contenders/Open Controlsnasri or mata...who is better for this week/upcoming weeks?
Open ControlsFor me get as much Manc coverage as you can. I know that seems like chasing points, but both are tearing teams apart, whilst the rest are very inconsistent and underwhelming. Additionally, IMO I'm not yet convinced that Mata is going to be in the points to reflect his price tag. On this basis, I'd go for Nasri.
However, if you're looking for Chelsea coverage then he is your best shout by a country mile and looks a superb player.Open Controlsmata
Open Controls
Dont u all think now its good time to get VDV in instead opf Adebayor?
Open ControlsThere can be only one tap in merchant per team (danger of Ade swiping that role from VDV)
Open ControlsTrue, last year was VDV and Crouch up front. With Modric just behind VDV, VDV was instrumental in those final key passes and goals. Adebayor adds a whole different dimension compared to Crouch so its a case of wait and see.
Open Controls
Just wildcarded sitting second in both my mini-leagues leader has Aguero captain, so needed to change it up to hunt him down
My team:
Vorm
Bosingwa / Kompany / 5.5 to spend
Barton / Arteta / Silva / Mata
Aguero (v) / Sturridge / Rooney (c)
Subs: Ruddy / Simpson / De Laet / Ferguson
For my final starting defender (5.5 to spend) was thinking about one of
Smalling / Evans / Kaboul / Assou-Ekotto / Walker / Jose Enrique
leaning towards Kaboul decent fixtures!
All advice greatly welcomed!!Open Controlsis it crazy not to have any man city coverage this week?
Open ControlsAt the moment it is. They are just animals at the moment. I regret not jerking on Aguero GW2.
Open Controls
I can't believe Jamsiep thinks Fabregas is overrated. What a spanner.
