The last-minute August transfer window move to QPR seems to have offered Shaun Wright-Phillips a new lease of life. The winger cut a forlorn figure on the periphery of Roberto Mancini’s title-challenging Man City but, plucked from his Etihad Stadium nightmare by Neil Warnock, Wright-Phillips has been handed the chance to resurrect his career. Under the guidance of a manager with complete faith in his abilities, he is already making an impact at Loftus Road.
Is there the possiblity we will know the City team before the deadline on Saturday?
Open ControlsHi friends!
Finally fixed my caps lock (I'd spilled a load of DR Pepper on it celebrating Di Santo's first goal v QPR).
Anyway who to captain this gw?
Aguero (EVE)
Suarez (WLV)
Di Santo (TOT)Open ControlsThe projections suggest there are going to be an unnatural amount of deflections at the DW this week, so he should serve you well. Why not double up with Moses too?
Open ControlsHe means to score and they go in. No luck there my friend.
Open Controls😆
Franco Di Flection.Open Controlsyou guys are mean!
He has more goals than RVP, Bent, Hernandez, Suarez and Carroll. If he keeps scoring like this he'll make the Euro 2012 squad. him and Rooney ftwOpen ControlsI thought he was Argentinian... 😕
Open ControlsEuro 2012.. Isn't Di Santo Argentine..?
Btw, fair to say that he performed better than those names.Open Controlshe lives in heaven (Wigan) which is in England. Also Martinez once said he can play where he wants. He might have been talking about on the wing or up front but I think he meant he can play for whatever country he wants.

Transfers for the weekend…
OUT – Baines, Walters,
IN…
A – Bosingwa, Nani
B – Assou-Ekotto, Mata,
A or B??Open ControlsB
Open ControlsA for me. Nani is a proven prospect and you still get your Chelsea coverage attacking and defensively.
Besides, I'm not convinced by BAE either.Open Controlsif i do B this week i can get afford to get nani in next week for norwich at home...
Open Controls+ 1.
Definitely A for me too.Open ControlsA will leave me with no chelsea attacking coverage for Swansea at home?? But in the next 2 weeks i can bring in both mata this week and nani next week...

cheers zlatan...

Which would you pick i have wildcarded?
A) Krul, Jose Enrique, B.Johnson.
B) De Gea, N.Taylor, Ferguson.Open Controlsjust wildcarded please let me know what you think...
Vorm/ruddy
simpson da laet brown assou-ekotto enrique
nasri nani mata barton ferguson
rooney suarez adebayorOpen ControlsDowngrade BAE and Enrique. CS are becoming a waste of time (take it from someone who had the back line of Baines, Bos, Cole, Richards, K).
Get rid of De Laet and Ferguson.
Nasri is not adequate City coverage, though he should score well. Either swap him for Silva or add another City player.Open ControlsKeepers-Rotatable
Defence-Good,but not a fan of Ekotto
Good Midfield
Attack-Good attackOpen Controls
Just Hit the WC button, how does this look.

Nani Silva Sinclair SWP
Aguero(V)Rooney(C)Adebayor
SUBS:Ruddy De Laet Ward Ferguson
With 0.6 in the bank 🙂Open ControlsRuddy and De Laet, Norwich are rubbish at the back. Wheres the newcastle love?
Why have you got ferguson when you have 0.6 in the bank?Open ControlsSo many loves in Ferguson..
I don't think it's a wrong strategy as few in my mini-league always have one cheapest player in the game and spend elsewhere. But I still preferred a playing bench.Open Controls
Pick a number guys! I cannot decide!
1/ RVP + Nzog=>Adebayor + Mata + 1.6 de cash (0 pt)
2/ RVP + Suarez + Nzog => Aguero + Adebayor + Mata (4 pts)
3/ RVP + Brunt + Nzog => Aguero + Tiote + Mata (4 pts)
4/ Suarez + Brunt + Nzog => Adebayor + Tiote + Mata (4 pts)Open ControlsLost on last page:
My team:
Given, Vorm
Kompany, Bosingwa, Jose Enrique, Simpson, Hall
Cahill, Silva, Hoolahan, Moses, Young
Fletcher, Dzeko, Rooney
Cahill and Fletcher have to go, then I have 15.5 to spend. Got 2 free transfers. Worried not having Aguero in my team.
A. Cahill + Fletcher > Adebayor + SWP
B. Cahill + Fletcher + Dzeko > Aguero + SWP + Best (4 p hit)
C. Cahill + Fletcher + Kompany > Aguero + Petrov + Brown (4 p hit)
Thanks!Open ControlsHi Guys.. looking for a tip or 2 🙂
have two transfers this week with .2 in the bank...
Team is:
Given (vorm)
Bosingwa Enrique Kompany (Briggs, deLaet)
Silva, Young Arteta Tchoyi (dyer)
Adebayor Dzeko Rooney...
trying to bring in mata?? rid of dzeko and tchoyi.. 5.3 then for striker.. worth getting rid of given to for mignolet?? for another .5 mil?? would appreciate any advice!! 🙂Open ControlsI could be lambasted for this, but I am not going to have any Pool, Arse or Chelsea coverage going into the weekend.
Traditionally, all 3 have been a decent source of points. However, these are different times and I find them all unconvincing.
Pool - Suarez. I had him at the end of last season and found he flattered to deceive in FPL. Pool would win by 4, 5, 6 goals and he would just scrape some bonus. This is on the old BP system of course.
Chelsea - Mata. Looks a great player, but could be relying upon assists, which in itself could be relying upon Torres. He could well come good and overcome a strong Swansea side, but at 9.5, he is a big risk when you can have Silva, Nani or Young for a touch more.
Arsenal - Arteta. Tempting as he is nicely priced and could provide consistent (if not explosive) returns, but he doesn't convince me still. With his loss of pens (and some FKs to RVP) but a more advanced role, I think he is possibly a similar proposition to what he was at Everton. Perhaps with Arsenal's attacking threat, he has a better chance of points. Once again, I think the funds could go to more reliable sources.
Fundamentally, I don't feel any of their players offer value for money attacking wise. Anyone agree?Open ControlsWhich would you pick i have wildcarded?
A) Krul, Jose Enrique, B.Johnson.
B) De Gea, N.Taylor, Ferguson..Open ControlsBrighton to beat ze pool
Open ControlsI have Madrid -2 @ 13/10, I think they will destroy Santander. Last two games have been poor results but Real have been done by bad refereeing decisions.
Open Controls
Juventus -1 vs Bologna is well worth investment Demi. 10/11 on PP.
Open Controls
just wildcarded please let me know what you think…
Vorm/ruddy
simpson da laet brown assou-ekotto enrique
nasri nani mata barton ferguson
rooney suarez adebayor
or should i swap:
mata - arteta
assou - boswingaOpen ControlsLove to see Aguero on top of captain poll for this week.. 😀
I don't have him yet. If you follow the poll every week, I believe you know what I mean.. 😉Open ControlsAccumulator on tonight. £10 bet, potential returns of over £3k 😐
Open ControlsDear Mr Baines,
You are FPL Gold. Nobody can provide the attacking returns that you can with the bonus of CSs. However, in what has been the most agonising FPL decision in years, I can no longer ignore your awful fixtures and my terrible MF that needs major investment.
So, as a temporary measure, your services are no longer required. I shall save 2 transfers or even spend points so you can return to my team in GW12.
Yours,
Corrigan
*smudges ink with tear*Open Controlstough to say goodbye to a loved one but it looks wise. just hope they don't get a glut of penalties

I seem to be the last remaining person on these boards who is going to hang on to Leighton.
Those who chicken out now will only be kicking themselves. Everton have traditionally made life difficult for the big boys and if they do anything there's a fair chance Baines will be involved.
Yes he's expensive but he's expensive for reason.Open Controlswow if i had baines i'd be shippin him without a moment's hesitation. awful fixtures and the cash can do wonders for further up the pitch where peeps need some big midfielders. so many decent cheap scumbag defenders this season haulin in the points. seems such an easy decision
Open Controls
To wildcard or not.. Can't decide
no aguero and silva is killing me..
Could get silva in for Walcott but hopefully Walcott starts! Peob just so johnston to one ofthe taylors off NewcastleOpen ControlsIf you haven't wildcarded and taken advantage of price increases it hardly seems worth while now. General rule if wildcarding do it on Saturday p.m. imo.
Open ControlsYeah true I was debating it last week and sure tat was the time.. If aguero and silva stay quiet it will be a good decision not wildcarding
Open ControlsIt might be worth a 4pt hit this week Rasher, I'm considering it, or at most an 8pt, after that it all gets a bit painful. 🙂 Good luck with your decision, off to watch the mighty Brighton take on the minnows, lets hope they don't get a lucky break down here.
Open Controlsdon't wildcard . you'll just be kickin yourself at payin extra for these peeps when u cudda had em for cheaper a couple days ago. i wced a half-decent team on monday and still regret it. if your team looks ok now just hang onto it. you'll be thankin your lucky stars if this is another low-scoring week and even if not i'm sure your team can cope. looks quite similar to what i had
Open Controls
I will laff if Baines scores this week like he did last year at city and i'll be 1 of a few people with him in my team. But i can see my not laffin
Open ControlsWho would you captain from Silva, Aguero, Rooney or Adebayor? (Got it one Aguero for now)
Open ControlsAny transfers needed? Used freebie on jarvis to swp.
Krul (vorm)
Simpson Kompany brown (de laet, ward)
Silva Walcott brunt swp (dyer)
Rvp Rooney dzeko.Open ControlsSeems like everyone is going heavy up top this year. Lots of lineups with 3 strikers over the 8.5 mark.
I feel like I'm the only one going with 2 high priced strikers and 3 pricey midfielders.
Come on, someone else jump on board the 3 high priced mids over the 3 high priced strikers club! I need to go down in flames with someone!Open ControlsI've got 3 high price strikers, but only one of them is on form!
Open ControlsTheir loss.
I've gone balanced in defence, mid and uptop. There will be a week when Utd and City don't score, when there are lots of 0-0's. If Aguero, Dzeko, Rooney, RVP, Adebayor etc. don't score, many teams will be on 20pts - relying on Newcastle, Swansea etc for clean sheets that they won't get each week. It'll happen and most people here will be complaining and kneejerking GW2esque.Open ControlsI am doing Roo-Aguero-Holt (soon to be Best) And Silva, Young and Mata.
Really pricey forwards over 9 (Torres, Suarez, Bent) don´t do it for me, and having a cheap forward, let me get Roo and AgueroOpen ControlsI have Nani Nasri and Walcott.
Open Controls
Nasri and Yak

Looking alright for this weekend?Open ControlsA) Nani & Wright-Phillips
B) Young & Cabaye (or Murphy)

i bought adebayor on sat night ,obvious he was going up....
however it seems every time hes gone past 34,600 hes gone up ,this is why people are going up in 2s and 3s and sometimes 4 in a week ,
old thresholds for adebayor would have been ..
34,600 0.1 rise
then a further 69,200 for a 0.2 rise
then a further 138,400 for a 0.3 rise
so for ade to go up this week its only going to take 103,800 transfers in therefore saving 138,400 transfers and leaving scope for a 4th rise which would have needed a futher 276,800!!!!!!!Open Controls
