Thereโ€™s no doubt Eden Hazard has been one of the biggest disappointments during the opening four Gameweeks of the campaign. Last seasonโ€™s PFA Player of the Year was handed an 11.5 price tag in Fantasy Premier League (FPL) this summer, but with just a single assist so far, has seen his value drop to 11.4, with over 592,000 FPL bosses transferring out the Belgian since the start of the season.

After averaging 6.1 points per appearance in 2014/15, that figure is down to 2.5 points per outing in the early days of the new season. With Chelseaโ€™s star man once again in the top five for transfers out this week, tonightโ€™s members article compares his statistics to the previous one as we look to see why the Belgian is struggling to scale the heights of Chelsea’s title-winning campaign.

Right now TM has shattered the tranquility, here's a little story about getting high on Walcott.

It was a cold and dreary November but all was well in the Arsenal camp as the signing of bug-eyes Ozil had bought belief and results to gooners across the land. We were top of the league and flying high, when in came the news that one of our talismans from a year previous was returning from an abdominal injury picked up at Stoke (He'd likely been sick to much having to look at Pulis' team of orcs lead by the despicable Ryan Gorbag Shawcross). The midweek press conference came in and Walcott was confirmed in the squad for Marseille, excellent! He had a 15 minute run out and had looked fast but his touch was lacking a bit as usual. That was enough, Arsenal were playing relegation fodder Cardiff City that weekend, Walcott had to be in my team. Walcott was on the bench. No biggie, I bet he gets half an hour at the end. Arsenal and in particular Aaron Ramessi torment Cardiff in their own ground, Ramsey plays so well even Cardiff are applauding him. We're one-nil up but in cruise control. 77 minutes gone, a substitute is ready! But its Flamini on for Cazorla, this is swiftly followed my Monreal, a full-back, on for Wilshere and centre mid. My Walcott is still on the bench. A goal, yes this is in the bag, Ozil assists Flamini but where is my Walcott? 90 minutes, 25 seconds Walcott comes on to relieve our record signing with the game won. Cardiff attack, Arsenal break, the ball is put wide to Walcott, he barrels down on goal, he's still got it! He sees the pass out of the corner of his eye, Ramsey is sprinting into the box, Walcott lays it off, Ramsey smashes it into the net, 3-0, Walcott assist. The FPL stats read, minutes played: 1, assists: 1, points: 4. I'm hooked.

Don't understand why Wenger didn't start with Wally this year. Must be some strange French Connection with Giroud.

It loos like he's more suitable in the impact role. Remember last season's goal at OT? fwiw he's the highest scoring ARS attacker in DGW37 but many ignored him.

One thing I've learned is that it's better to ignore him unless he's an assured starter in a given period.

Some managers don't look at upcoming fixtures. They see that he is the top scoring non-Manchester City defender and that is enough for them.

Has Coates been dropped or is Advocaat trying to figure out a defensive partnership? Coates & Kaboul, Coates & O'Shea, and now O'Shea & Kaboul in the last match. Him and Jenkinson losing their place has ruined my defense.

No idea, I'm worried about that too, but every one seems to think Tomkins will start given they got two clean sheets with him playing instead of Jenkinson.

The prospect is there but I don't think the situation is given. Jenk played fairly good early in the Europa games (before they were ditched) and NEW @ home is a perfect game for Bilic to utilize Jenk's attacking foray, if there's any lol

I have but I have decent enough fixtures for the coming GWs having brought in Kolarov and my team looks ok on paper. Just that it lacks Ayew, Mahrez, Wilson and pretty much every one who has delivered points :). Taking a hit to bring in Ayew and another in-form player in GW6 should see me in fairly decent shape. Well, I hope atleast.

I took too many hits last year and am not doing well this year too, but I don't mind taking hits at the start to get the team settled. Should hopefully stop with them after next week. Last year I luckily saved my wildcard for a week where I had only 8-9 starting players and so that always plays on my mind.

I disagree, I was going to but happy I didn't now. Although that's probably because I only needed to make 2 or 3 changes (and WANTED to make others) but new the extra weren't necessary so I held back

Really more the loss of the opportunity of an extra 1m TV due to GW1 bandwagons continuing to roll.

Big hitters are not firing so the extra 1m is presently useless.

Yes that would be my plan. I am currently doing quite well and have a similar team to those who have wildcarded. As you said there is a large fixture swing gw 14 so i will be bringing Chelsea and Everton players on a wc. I always try and save my wildcard for a double game week in the later rounds.

Not sure if this is a criticism of the fixture ticker but by netting the ranking differential it becomes less useful since CHE and MCI will always be shown as having the easiest fixtures (probably true).

Better if we use differential to the mean instead of differential to each other? So if CHE plays MAN at Old Trafford, instead of 1st vs 4th = easy fixture, it should be 10th (mean) vs 4th = difficult fixture?

When would the best time to play AOA chip?

I have seen some interesting tips shared on FFS, for example ...

A : When you don't have enough DFs to play.

This does really make sense. But how often we will have 3 DFs unavailable to play. Also, without planning, who will be the 5th mid or 3rd fwd and what fixtures they will face on that random week. Will we get the most out of the opportunity if we will use AOA chip on random opportunity? Doubtful, I am.

B: When you have good fixtures for all 8 attackers.

Again, as we usually have one cheap mid or FWs for benching, I'm really doubt if good opportunity for my cheap player will show up. I just feel it needs planning to have decent 8 attackers for a specific GW and use the AOA.

If there are any other idea on how & when to use AOA chip, please share yours.

I might use mine this week. Not sure if a week after international break is a good time though.

A good late season DGW after WC-ing the week before to prep

B makes the most sense. I'm considering for next week. This us the weakest chip imo. The others hold for a DGW

AOA imo is the least attractive chip and I'm not sure if its usage worth planning. To answer your question, I think B is the better option, but then most guys here have a filler for 5th mid (some on 3-5-2 might have a 3rd filler striker) thus playing the filler in this situation might not instill much confidence. I like the idea of playing it in GW38, where we tend to get some explosive returns from some usual suspects ๐Ÿ˜‰

Will either use mine last day of the season and upgrade my fifth mid or in a blank week before a double where you might not be able to field 3 defenders without a hit

Well for me who has a pretty pointless 4.5 mid ( berahmi ) and a wc ideally what I would like to use 2 fts to downgrade defender and upgrade 5th mod week before wc and then play aoa

Plan to have two frees saved the week before your WC, use one of the two to downgrade one of your players and the other to upgrade your 8th attacker, play WC the next week to eliminate benching headaches. Proper planning will also ensure that only two or less of your defenders have plum fixtures the week that you play the AoA

if youve got a cracker then play it.

if you wait for a DGW then youre probably playing it the same week everyone else in the top 250k are and its value reduces. we've all seen dgw's where the expected didnt happen, its not a guarantee of points. last seasons dgw's were boring and low scoring.

however..... if the weather goes crazy and theres weeks of floods and snow the dgw's will pile up and youll wish you'd kept it.

Id go Jenkinson whu have some past defensive pedigree at least and if he doesn't start he is very unlikely to come on.Leicester let on two against Sunderland I don't know why anyone believe it's gonna be any different against villa. What's more hendo is more attacking.

West Ham can't defend for their lives, Villa haven't been a free scoring side, neither have Newcastle but they have had very tough fixtures. Also Huth has more attacking threat ๐Ÿ™‚

I thought star is Total Score according to FPL. If you go Form, Pedro is top with 10.0.

I don;t use the star to determine if someone's on form or not - prefer the man form stand's view.
