This week could be huge regarding the Aguero and non-Aguero owners as most of those who own will captain.

I see many teams above my rank (300K) who do not have him and have been killing me most weeks. Hopefully this is the week they all get punished.

I'm currently on a Leicester player over Aguero.

For e.g. a guy in my ML has a front 3 of Giroud, Diouf and Tekers and scored a 77 this GW and is ranked 33K OR. And he and many like him (and yourself) have been doing it since GW1).

Call me biased b/c I'm a Newcastle fan (though I would argue it would put me in the best position to judge) but I would be quite surprised (and disappointed) if we rolled over without a fight this week.

In games against United, Arsenal and now Chelsea Newcastle defended heavily, and for the most part very well, and showed a lot of fighting spirit.

I've got 3 city players, so obviously my fantasy team wants a City hammering, but after last week's performance I'm not quite sure it will be that.

Newcastle always impress against Chelsea and get rolled over by everyone else. Nothing new.

Tis true, as my mates who are Chelsea fans constantly lament, that we have a great record against Chelsea. And an equally terrible record against City. Though as I said, and as Mourinho actually commented this year, we've only played well against the big teams so far this year.

Seems folly taking a hit before the CL games have been played but I'm losing money all over the place.

    Butland McCarthy
    Kolarov Darmian Richards Morgan Ward
    KDB Sanchez Pedro Mahrez Westwood
    Kun Gomis Wilson

    0.4 itb, 1 FT.

A popular move this week, but seeing as though I can't afford him without a downgrade elsewhere, Wilson + Pedro (who has been a thoroughly terrible fantasy acquisition, looked very poor against Newcastle on the weekend) --> Vardy + Payet (-4) looks appealing.

The question: Do it now before Vardy rises again, and Wilson falls again either tomorrow or the next day before CL football is said and done anyway? Or wait, do nothing, and let my team slip further into the mire?

Option number 2 is the ultimate maverick:

Wilson out for Ayoze. 6 good fixtures (following City), very cheap facilitating a 5th mid upgrade to rotate, Gomis -> Lukaku, McCarthy upgrade all over the next few weeks.

Is Igalho - Vardy - Aguero sufficient up top if I make my 5 midfielders as top notch as possible do you think? Or does one of the 2 cheaper (and better performing options) really need to be someone a little more premium?

I think it's a great strategy vardy doesn't look like slowing down or being rotated slightly less confident in Ighalo keeping up his form though I won't ship until fixtures toughen up

I'd rather go Bojan than Ighalo though for some flair if you can hide on the bench more often than not to see if he finds form.

How well does the rotation between them work out? I have been burnt by Sturridge's many injuries to many times in the past to rush back there again.

This is an area which I need to give a look into, but I don't think rotation with forwards tends to be such a big issue as with the defence.

I think that could work. And when you want to switch things up, a big downgrade of one of your premium mids to cheapy, then a big upgrade of the underperforming striker of your cheap 2 gives you access to pretty much everyone.

I've got the same front three and I don't see a problem with it. As this season, money doesn't necessarily buy points and since the two cheapies there are knocking them in and with Aguero hopefully about to turn the corner, can't see any issue

He isn't getting much service. I don't think it's him as much as the way the team has played around him. That's my take on it, anyways. Did you see his frustration the other day when they were on a fast break and he didn't get the ball when he was open? He was peeved off for sure. His anger was a culmination. He wants the ball. He needs the ball.

      Darmian + Richards > Bertrand + Janmaat?

Four blanks and then a massive haul. Is this how it's likely to be all season with Lukaku?

I would really like to own him when Everton fixtures pick up.

This looks to be about the best Midfield I can afford. Haven't looked at rotations etc but what do you think:

    KDB - Sanchez - Payet - Mahrez - Mane

Obviously Tadic offers similar Southampton potential to Mane at a lower price and may be a consideration.

I am a little concerned about having no Chelsea players though but I cannot see how they would be worth losing any of the bigger players (except maybe Aguero)
