After delving into the Gameweek 5-8 data for Defenders yesterday afternoon, we now set our sights on the midfielders. Arsenal’s in-form duo arrive under analysis, whilst we also cast an eye over City and West Ham’s summer signings and analyse the recent displays of Southampton’s wide men as the fixtures turn in their favour.
Ooh. New
This deserves deleting too 😆
Groundhog day
Love that movie!
Me too.
Its in my list of fave movies of all time.
We've run out of new things to say.
Groundhog day .
Chile vs Brazil should be fun.
Argentina is without the midget, yes?Retired years ago, smacko on cocaine
Aah those were the days...
Current midget though?Poor Ossie.
It's what Swindon does to you.
It's a shame Rodgers got sacked 🙠. Long's goal would have guaranteed him a move to Liverpool
How did you end up on Family Guy?
I forgot Tyrion was in Death at a Funeral 🙂
Menu tomorrow, company paying.. be reserved or take the piss? 🙂
http://blackhouse.uk.com/menu/mainmenuThinking £55 steak with £20 lobster add-on 🙂
Is it from a Belgian blue?
Menu linked, you now know as much as me 🙂
Always steak 🙂
Decided to leave then?
If Kompany's paying I'd for for the wagyu. He can afford it.
Ever had one? Can it really be that good?
I haven't. Keen to though. Go for it!
My lunch menu tomorrow for my colleagues leaving meal.
Neither company nor Kompany paying for mine, so I've gone for the £5 lunch deal-burger and fries and a hot chocolate.
Aye, I really push the boat out, me!Link would help, innit!
https://www.walkaboutbars.co.uk/venues/bristol/food_menusThe roo burger I hope
Nah, probably just a manky birds eye beef burger, undercooked and falling apart.
Served in a brioche bun though.
Some kid on my team has ordered a steak a £11.95. For that price its probably crap.At least you won't be disappointed - you're right to set your expectations low from what I saw the only time I went Walkabout.
Wouldn't be my choice, especially when there are a few decent Thai places just across the road from where I work in the centre.
Just over the zebra crossing is a Chinese restaurant with a decent lunchtime menu for £6.95.The only chain I eat in without trepidation is Wagamama. I live in Brum and it is always best to go Chinese or Thai. (Balti is massively overrated.)
Mmmmmcurry. Now you're talking my language.
I love a good Lamb Pathia.I love a good curry too but Birmingham isn't actually a great place to get one.
Multiplicity
Which attack do you prefer?
Sanchez KdB Payet Mahrez Mane
Aguero Vardy Ighalo
Sanchez KdB Payet Mahrez Hoolahan
Aguero Vardy PelleNo idea...both good. Top one is very template though on the 3-5-2 theme...
I try 3-5-2 but it never seems to work for me, tend to swap back quickly to 3-4-2 but this does look good. Thanks
I'm on the top one for a 3-5-2 but i'll probably revert in the end...I always do.
3-4-3
What's your plan B if we start to see Mahrez rotated. Selling Value @ 6, I don't see much value around the 6 mill mark, might have to really cut into my defence if this is the case.
Who's the best replacement around 6-7 mill?Wesley 🙂
Quite a few....Tadic looking good at the higher end...Milner could find himself higher up the pitch as he did for the last two...Cabaye has found his shooting boots...Hoolahan is better than his price tag...Plus some others.
Hasn't Cabaye found the penalty spot? Might still be a good pick all the same.
Yes he has...but he's also getting a few shots away now....He was about third or fourth last week for mids.
That's useful to know - I'd not really been considering him
Cancel that..he was actually fourth for all players in all positions
I shall monitor. He's got to be up,there with Mahrez and Tadic in the 7 and below range
Wijnaldum, Cabaye or Walters probably
Wijnaldum l like but .5 short and want Coleman in for Darmian so really I'm .8 short
Hello Simpson @ 3.9
Drinkwater is a decent budget shout till GW13 and at 4.5 might be worth holding longer as your front 8 bench player knowing he'll play if required.
Chile XI vs Brazil: Bravo; Silva, Medel, Jara; Isla, Díaz, Vidal, Bose; Valdivia, Vargas, Sánchez
Brazil XI vs Chile: Jefferson; Daniel Alves, Miranda, David Luiz, Marcelo; Luiz Gustavo. Elias; Willian, Oscar, Douglas Costa; HulkNo Diego?
Don't get injured Alexis!
So much for a Sanchez injury
Still has to get through the game...
No Mata ðŸ™
Reply fail to HVT?
"Douglas" The name just doesn't flash the image I have of a Brazilian footballer.
True, neither does Kenedy.
One of the President and Booze smuggling gangster Kennedy's?
Not in Chelsea, not with Abramovitj no.
But the Brazilian "wonder kid" Kenedy, aint no wonder when it comes to spelling though if he aimed at stealing the famous name...
Phew!! Big family.
Lol
Evening all! 🙂
How's the transfers going?
I've done Sterling, Martial to KDB and Pellè (-4)Darmian/Wanyama > Ivanovic/Matic -8
Ayew Serious?
Liar, liar, pants on fire.
Shaqiri > Wijnaldum.
Maybe Lovren > Cedric (-4) closer to deadline. Can't you get Van Dijk or Bertrand? Wijanldum is a great pick imo.
I prefer Cedric myself.
He is Dangerous on the wing, not to mention has played as a 5th mid when they had 3 at the back.
Decent price also.I can afford Bertrand. But I'd like to stick to my defence price structure of 6 - 5 - 5 - 4.5 - 4.5. Cedric fits my squad.
Pedro + Gomez -----> Mane + 6.6 defender (haven't decided) (-4)
Janmaat, Dawson, Monreal or Souare?
Skrtel to Van Dijk free
MaverickGood move.
Hoping he's a good diff, everyone going for Bertie or Cedric but I reckon VvD will offer more in attack
The stats suggest so; wish I still had my WC available. He would be my first thing.
Hazard to Sánchez
Nice; I wouldn't sell Hazard before Villa but that's just me.
Hazard, Westwood -> Walcott, Mané
ðŸ˜I like it; very much. Explosive.
Haven't made any. Waiting till after the internationals to do Diouf -> Ayoze
scout tweets suggest ivanovic's injury tonight, moreover, just to add that matic was also subbed due to injury.
It seems so.
Acting on orders I suspect 😉
Whose? Not Mark's surely? 🙂
agree
Chelsea's worst two players this season...mmmm
They are certainly not!
They are certainly the biggest let downs from last year along with fabregas
Ah - that is a different matter.
And don't chuck a stat table at me, I watch the games 😉
So do I.
What a stupid comment. At least it's a comment and not a stat table
Aye...him as well...
Fabregas should join us; Kevin McDonald and Fabregas as our holding mids will be awesome. He can assist Mr.Afobe.
Pffft...I beg to differ...Worst of a bad lot.
Differ away. You will find worse in Pedro and Fabregas.
Seen my menu above Doos? What do you reckon? 🙂
I have never seen anything so pretentious, but unappetising.
I am gobsmacked. I would not go.What a snob, it's a rare treat that I could never otherwise afford. You need to get over yourself a bit mate
OK, I'm a snob, then. You will find that a treat set out that way is rarely what is promised.
I have been forty years plus in the trade, and I can spot a pup from a mile off.
Where do you spot that it's unappetising?
The way the men is set out. It is all about the money, not the food.
It is a status hook. The reviews suggest other wise. Non't bother looking for a bad one, I'm off to bed and despite your best efforts to belittle it I'm still looking forward to it
OK, I am not trying to belittle you, that's for sure. I hope that you have a great time. 🙂
Calm it down please lads. I'm getting scared.
Its getting a bit tasty alright.
Time for me t go to bed methinks.
Nighty night all and enjoy your meal whatever you choose Wild Rover. I'll probably be wistfully thinking of your steak and lobster when I'm watching my Walkabout burger disintegrate as soon as I lift it off the plate!
I can't see it, my computer won't open the link....Where are you going WR ?
At least Pedro had one or two decent games...mot outstanding though.
Ivan in particular has been possibly one of the worst defenders in the whole prem, not just at Chelsea. He seems to be getting skinned every single week...He has been outstandingly useless, from the off.
I am sorry, but that comment about Ivanovic is just not correct.
?....He's been awful...I think every team that is due to play Chelsea will be targeting him. He's getting turned inside out week after week.
Well, I have watched every Chelski match. Not what I've seen.
Sorry Doosra but I think you may be on your own with that....
http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier+League/Chelsea/Defenders/Branislav+IvanovicOh, I'm well aware of that.
Imo, there has been more nonsense spouted about Ivanovic, than any other player.
Just my opinion, though.Either way...whatever the Chelsea lads did in the summer they need to stop doing it now...I can't believe the difference...and in every position...
Indeed. The most unprofessional attitude I have ever seen.
Unbelievable.I think the problem is they didn't do anything this summer. Began the pre-season very late by comparison to other Premier League teams, not much improvement via the transfer market/embedding in youth products.
@Parm...exactly what my beloved Blackburn did when they won the title...
I'm enjoying watching it though. Chelsea are thoroughly dislikeable under Mourinho, just as they were a joy under Ancelotti. Love that man.
I quite like Mourinho...he's off his head...
Used to find him very amusing. Can't abide him these days though
What have you been watching? Ivanovic has been terrible in every game except for the Arsenal match against 10/9 men. Montero, Sterling, Bolasie, Naismith, Tadic all had field days against him.
Right.
Not only Ivanovic and Matic got injured tonight. Good news for Chelsea
Good news is that we beat Albania 🙂
Congratulation
Hopefully Baba and Loftus get a start. Maybe they will revive Chelsea?
Maybe, but I really don't know. "Something is fishy in the state of Denmark"
hi daniel, I heard you were banned. Good news it was not true
Podcast tomorrow Daniel?

The community have spoken...
Who else is doing Haz to Sanchez after the qualifiers?
Already done.
Hey lads any ideas here?
My hill
Kolarov Darmain Richards Gomez Target
Sánchez Payet Mane KDB Mahrez
Kun Vardy Ighalo
1.0 itb want to take a hit to fix defence any ideas?Pretty much my team, except i have Evans instead of Targett, and Ruddy/McCarthy in goal.
No need to take a hit. Just upgrade Targett for now. Some Watford at 4.5 seems decent going forward or maybe Cedric.
What a slide tackle 😆
https://vine.co/v/e2j6mQTx6QiKlopp sign him up 🙂
😆
if I could get feedback on this team,it would be much appreciated:
ruddy / butland
azpi / sagna / williams / huth / targett
kdb / payet / ayew / mahrez / surman
pelle / aguero / vardy
I know my defensive line is a mess, but want to hear suggestions and set priorities straight..
3.9ITB, 1FTAyew -> Sanchez
0.2 short my friend.
I could have done it a week ago,but I thought I could give ayew a chance with those fixtures.
he scored one V spurs, hope for more V stoke next gw.
The defence needs sorting. Sagna out first.
who would be your choice instead of sagna? and why him? targett is gone, huth is non existent in LEI.
WC handy??
Not sure I want to waste WC just to sort out few players in defence.
Like my attacking potential.
Will probs WC during next international gw.
Thanks for advice.
Sagna to Bellerin
Or
Surman to Cabaye
Maybe? Not bad moves. Will def think about bellerin.
Not sure I want benching headaches with fifth mid though.
What do you think about getting dawson or janmaat?Yeah with there upcoming fixtures defo decent options.
Has Alexis scored yet?
Texas?..Probably
:totallyfuc*inglostnow:
Oh you...
Hatty against Leicester and brace against United.
Ivanovic injured? Maybe Begovic can actually get me some points now.
Anyone else being redirected from ffs to some ad site? Or is it just my connection?
Report it to Mark at support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk
Are you sure you're not accidentally wntering the url of the ad site?
1 2 3 o'clock, 4 o'clock Klopp.
5 6 7 o'clock, 8 o'clock Klopp.
9 10 11 o'clock, 12 o'clock Klopp.
We're gonna Klopp around the Kop tonight. This is why Liverpool don't deserve nice things.
I love days when football makes grown adults feel like kids!
😆
reported.
We've had load of tweets about Jurgen Klopp this week. 14% are from excited Liverpool fans. The other 86% is Man Utd fans saying he's shite.@paddypower
Surprised that many Man Utd fans have heard of Klopp. Most of the ones I know haven't heard of Van Gaal.
They genuinely thought his name was Louis Filoshophy
Do you think the Filoshophy is in the big eff off filofax he carries around?
Most of the ones I know don't even know the directions to Old Trafford...and I'm serious.
Ask the next United fan you meet which junction of the motorway they come off for OT....
Mmmm...
So no United fans wanted him as manager when Moyes was there ?....is that right ?
Keep seeing reports that Loftus-Cheek will get a run of games, who would he be expected to come in for?
Fábregas.
Oh wow, a rival has Fab in the Sun game so that's good news
cheers.Well, Fábregas could still feature in the #10, but if Loftus-Cheek does play, he'll be alongside a holding midfielder rather than instead of one.
By the way, any folk in London, who really want a truly excellent meal, with reasonable but exciting wine to match ...
http://le-colombier-restaurant.co.uk/home.shtmlNo cheesy chips?
No cheesy chips. Sorry. 🙂
Guys, I have a very important question for you 🙂
I absolutely need to ditch Gomez today as he's -95.1 on fplstatistics right now and I had him since he was 4.5. Still can't decide who to replace him. 0.4 itb, 1 FT
A) Ward
B) Evans
C) Janmaat
D) ?
For me Ward seems like the best choice (attacks more, full back, palace better team than wba) IF he will indeed be fit 17 Oct, as physioroom says. Thoughts? Thanks!B, and btw Gomez isn't going to drop this international break.
Why do you think so? He was -93 yesterday on fplstatistics and today he is already at -95.1. Surely I don't see him lasting another 10 days.
He won't if the figures are correct.
My bad 0.3 itb!
evans seems a safe pick at first glance with Pulis but is extremely injury prone. janmaat has potential for attacking returns but Newcastle is a mess at the back. i'd pick a healthy Ward if one is risk averse, Janmaat if risk loving. Both good picks
Damn Muniesa dropped 0.1 already! Any Ideas who I should him? I got Kolarov, Dawson, Nyom, and Targett.
Damn just seen Nyom, Ayew, and Sanchez all flagged up doubful ffs!! Reckon I will need a hit.All three will prob be fine. Sanchez is starting girl chile tonight.
How much you got in bank? Bertrand, Cedric, Gabriel or if in the budget end suaore, hangelaand or Bavies.
got 0.9 itb
Bertrand
Thanks man.
Anyone got the line ups in the Arg-Equ game?
*Ecu
Thx, but WTF. No Tevez!!!
He doesnt get picked for Argentina these days does he?
Oh yes and according to an Argentinian paper he was predicted to start.
I spotted the thread about what makes a club a "big club" earlier...here's my view.
The top three "big clubs" in the country are Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle....
The reason I say that is that football in Liverpool and Newcastle, as a culture, is far higher than in any other part of the country..It's not just football, it's part of who they are..and it's all about their football team/s of the their City....
Unless you have actually lived or worked in Newcastle or Liverpool it's hard to understand just how big a part of daily life it is...
Just my view.So on your principle Sunderland must be the biggest out of the lot.
Dunno...I've never been to Sunderland or worked there so i'll take your word for it...
All I know is that the whole of Liverpool and Newcastle are almost consumed by football...Sunderland is exactly the same. No way you can say newcastle and not Sunderland. The mood of the whole city changes depending on whether they win or lose. In terms of the football being in the supporters blood and living and breathg it, Sunderland up with the very top. We still can't attract any players though so not sure most will agree with your view these types of clubs are the biggest in the country.
Winning trophies is neither here nor there to me...What matters is the town/city and the way it is part of the culture of the town/city....If Sunderland is the same as Newcastle then to the folk of Sunderland it's a very big club...
Sunderland too then
As above...
When Blackburn won the title the whole of the town became immersed in footy...It was massive...Sadly those "fans" have long gone now. Liverpool and Newcastle is like that all the time though...good, bad or average footy is very big part of their culture.I think it's fair to say Sunderland folk are as obsessed with footy as Geordies or Scousers.
Then Sunderland are a big club....If they are as big a part of every day life as what I've seen in Newcastle and Liverpool then there's nobody bigger...
Good man
All of these things are true but you can't discount success, both historical and recent as well as success
as well as attendance
And worldwide following
Agree worldwide following and also honours makes you a big club.
Two of the most followed clubs in the world are Man Utd and Liverpool.
Their are many ways to decide what makes a "big club"..no arguments from me on that. When it comes to how much the local teams mean to the people of a City it's very hard to think of any place bigger than Newcastle or Liverpool....
Would Real Madrid have such a large following without their superstar players?
Pfft..dunno..no idea.
I doubt it, Real Madrid came up with the idea of Galaticos in the 90's when their popularity dropped before that.
Man Utd and Liverpool have maintained their fan base without superstar players.
Their is romanticism associated with clubs such as Man Utd and LFC which draws people towards supporting them. It's al a bit alien to me. I've been going on Ewood since about 1970..it's in my blood. During that time Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Barcelona etc have had some fantastic teams...great teams...but it means nowt to me...
What happened to Sánchez? Is he going to be out or is he just being a sissy?
He's playing in 15 minutes.
And in the starting lineup .
I like it!
