Hector Bellerin is ruled out of the north London derby, though Laurent Koscielny still has a chance of making it. Watford’s Odion Ighalo has recovered from a dead leg, Winston Reid is back for West Ham, whilst Christian Fuchs returns to the Leicester squad after shrugging off a knock.

Hector Bellerin has been ruled out of Arsenal’s derby clash with Spurs, though Arsene Wenger is hopeful that the right-back could return just after the international break. The Gunners boss has also revealed that Laurent Koscielny has “an 80% chance” of appearing in Sunday’s home encounter.

Roberto Martinez has confirmed that Bryan Oviedo could miss the next three weeks after suffering a hamstring injury against Sunderland last time out. Mo Besic, Tom Cleverley and Leighton Baines have all returned to full training, though the Toffees boss has admitted that they won’t be rushed back into action and are unlikely to feature this weekend. Baines is set to play in a behind-closed-doors friendly next week to aid his fitness. Meanwhile Steven Pienaar and Tony Hibbert remain unavailable for the Toffees.

West Ham remain without Diafra Sakho for the visit of Everton, with the forward sidelined after feeling a small tear in his thigh during training last week. Winston Reid has been back in training for a week and is available for selection, confirmed Slaven Bilic. Elsewhere, Alex Song has recovered from injury and is set to play in a friendly for the Hammers next week as he steps up his fitness.

Sam Allardyce has been boosted by the news that Fabio Borini, Ola Toivonen, Younes Kaboul and John O’Shea have all returned to training for Sunderland. The quartet missed the defeat to Everton but are back in contention for the weekend. Lee Cattermole will miss out, however, with the combative midfielder suffering a groin injury in last Sunday’s loss.

Ronald Koeman has issued an update ahead of the Southampton’s trip to Sunderland, revealing that the squad is unchanged from the victory over near neighbours Bournemouth. Shane Long is back in training after an ankle injury, though remains unavailable for selection this weekend.

Christian Fuchs is back in contention for Leicester as they play host to Watford at the weekend. The Austrian defender missed out in last weekend’s come-from-behind win at the Hawthorns with a knock.

Bournemouth are sweating on the availability of Artur Boruc and Steve Cook ahead of the weekend. Boss Eddie Howe has revealed that the pair will face late fitness tests.

Watford boss Quique Sanchez Flores has allayed fears over Odion Ighalo, confirming that the striker is fit for the weekend after limping off with a dead leg in last weekend’s victory over West Ham. There is less positive news on Jose Manuel Jurado, with Flores conceding that the midfielder is almost certain to miss out with a hamstring injury once again.

Swansea boss Garry Monk has revealed he has a fully-fit squad to choose from for tomorrow’s trip to Carrow Road.

Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Philippe Coutinho (hamstring) and Adam Lallana (knock) were rested to the bench for last night’s win over Ruben Kazan, though both “could have played” if called upon.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

So looking to next GW and getting Kun back in if fit.
I will need to downgrade either Coleman or Mane.
    Coleman to Nyom/Ward/Souare
    Mane to 6.5-7.0mid......

My head tells me to go with shipping Coleman, but I've been getting an itch.. To go Mane to Willian. Chelsea's fixtures are amazing .. After this week, 4 of next 6 at home (NOR, tot, BOU, lei, SUN, WAT) I know they've been horrible, but Willian been playing well and also on set pieces.. Thoughts, go with Willian or defenders?

As Bellerin is ruled out, would you do Williams/Richards -> Rojo?

Would leave me with a fairly expensive defence, where one would need to be downgraded in order to bring in Aguero.

Bellerin - Kompany - Van Dijk - Williams - Richards

Thanks, also thought about this. Would you get rid of Williams or Richards first? They will both go eventually, but Richards is closer to dropping, and has worse fixtures.

I think I'd get rid of Williams and free up some cash. Richards will hardly ever play so I'd just leave him there as a very low priority.

Worried about Swansea though, they look crap. Williams has got 4 points from the last 5, so he's really annoying me. Might give him one last chance though.

Would cause problems down the line as you'd probably have to lose one of Kompany / Bellerin / VvD / Rojo. I'm going to be doing something similar over the next couple of weeks but I have Kolarov and Azpi so I'm happy to lose one or the other.

Kompany / VVD / Williams would be fine this week. I wouldn't bring in Rojo unless you're happy to drop one of the others

No-one seems to be mentioning Monreal. Any reason? I know Bellerin is seen as the better option but points wise there's not much in it. Or is it a straight Bellerin vs Rojo vs Moreno argument?

if anything is different, during games sanchez can be known to hold the wide position , therefore not giving monreal as much space to get involved. where as the varies options on the right have tended to drift inside more often and possibly bellerin has more space to attack the box.
not sure if that is enough to sway one way or other

I'm planning on playing A Ayew, and benching Albrighton.

Mainly because Ayew is more certain to play, and to play the full 90. Also Norwich are missing Martin, and Ayew is basically a forward player while Albrighton is out wide and has defensive duties.

Any of you think I should play Albrighton instead? And why?

For those wondering how Sanchez is affected by Giroud (and Ozil).

        From last season:

His overall figures for the season (35 appearances) was 16 Goals and 8 Assists, 122 shots and 82 key passes.
        Averaging:
        0.46 G, 0.24 A, 3.72 S, 2.50 KP (Goals, Assists, Shots, Key Passes - all per game)

But one thing is very clear from the underlying stats: He scores more goals by a considerable margin when NEITHER Ozil NOR Giroud are on the pitch.
In the 6 games he played without either of them he averaged 1.00 goals per game, 5 shots per game, 2.333 Key Passes per game and 1 Assist in total in all 6.

If you want the answer to the question "Is Sanchez better on his own than with any of Ozil/Giroud?" Then the answer is a resounding YES! Much better on his own.
Anyway for the purposes of this I am going to discount these 6 weeks to concentrate just on the games he played with one or other or both. I know this isn't going to please everyone.

So the overall averages I am using once those 6 weeks are removed are:
        0.345 G, 0.241 A, 3.172 S, 2.345 KP - 29 Appearances

Considering Ozil these figures become (regardless of whether Giroud plays or not):
        0.364 G, 0.545 A, 2.727 S, 3.364 KP - When Ozil is not on the pitch
        0.333 G, 0.056 A, 3.444 S, 1.722 KP - When Ozil plays

Considering Giroud (regardless of whether Ozil plays or not) the numbers are:
        0.400 G, 0.000 A, 2.600 S, 2.200 KP - When Giroud is not on the pitch
        0.333 G, 0.292 A, 3.292 S, 2.375 KP - When Giroud plays

And specifically when all three are on the pitch in the same game:
        0.308 G, 0.077 A, 3.769 S, 1.538 KP - When they all play

So to me it appears that the difference in goals scored is marginal, but best when Giroud is not playing.
However all his assists have come when Giroud is playing. The presence of Ozil drastically reduces Alexis's assists.
He manages most shots per game when all three are on the pitch.

Clearly his best returns have been when neither Ozil or Giroud are playing.

If you accept that in all likelihood one or both of them will be playing alongside him then the main impact seems to be Ozil's impact on his assists.

The remaining differences appear fairly marginal to me, especially given the very small number of matches that apply.

          good post
even from naked eye you can see sanchez is happy to sit wider and allow the likes of ozil to play in the space between him and the goal. Which is amazing for a top player to be willing to hold a position to allow others in team to have room to work in.
it may even get worse this season with ozil appearing to try and push into the box rather than admire his passes.

Fantastic analysis there Neighmar, as it's been revealed his best returns have been when neither Ozil or Giroud are playing...

but the part I like most is this

"He manages most shots per game when all three are on the pitch"

          Cheers for the research!

I think I'm going Mahrez this week as I've ignored him as captain all season but Sanchez a great option.

So Sanchez owners need to find a way to injure both Ozil and Giroud somehow? Any takers?

          Nice one Neighmar!

I did extensive research into this last season and wrote a few community articles on Arsenal's attacking options, specifically looking at how certain players affect each other. They were well received and make for a good read. You can find the links below 🙂

I think it's not so much who he plays with. He generally burned out in the 2nd half of the season and he got most of his hauls in the 1st half when Wenger was playing something similar to a 4-4-2 with Alexis up front with Welbeck. The more central Alexis is, the more chance he has of being a consistent scorer IMO.

The key thing here for me is: He manages most shots per game when all three are on the pitch.

That stands to reason really because it's essentially saying that when Arsenal's first choice attack is in place, they combine to create more chances. The fact that the converted goals for Alexis varied ever so slightly this way or that is, as you say, marginal, or negligible even.

I'd add one final thing, having watched most Arsenal games since Alexis joined, it's pretty clear that the Ozil-Alexis partnership took a good deal of time to kick into gear. For a long time they'd defer to each other too much, tapping it off for the other one to take the lead... That's gone now and the partnership is much more fluid.

Does anyone know how many of Alexis' goals Ozil has assisted so far this year?
          And Giroud for that matter?

But he scores fewest goals when all three are on the pitch, so his conversion rate suffers.

            Surely that matters more?

Giroud played only 53 minutes in GW4-6, and only 54 in GW7-9.

Sanchez scored all six of his goals this season in GW7-9.
He did not score in GW4-6, but his stats were good.

It looks to me as if he only scores when Giroud spends little time on the pitch.

When all three are on the pitch, then they all get more shooting chances, but Sanchez's are from less favourable positions so he doesn't score.

Sakho is a big loss to West Ham I feel, he really compliments Payet but without him.. I feel West Ham lose a lot of attacking potential.

Carroll is another different type of threat though...
