After picking up just three points in the opening eight league matches under Dick Advocaat, it was no real surprise to see Sunderland part company with the Dutchman last month. Given that new manager Sam Allardyce has never been relegated from the Premier League, the Wearsiders will be optimistic of yet another great escape, though so far, the jury is out on Big Sam’s start at the Stadium of Light.

Although the former West Ham boss registered a first win and clean sheet of the campaign – courtesy of a 3-0 victory over neighbours Newcastle – their 6-2 thumping at Goodison in the following league fixture brought them firmly back down to earth.

With three losses in his first four fixtures at the helm, then, we assess Allardyce’s impact on Sunderland as they look to build momentum and claw their way out of the bottom three.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

So Doolittle's last proper full work-day on FFS tomoro then.

I'll bake the cake when I get home. Can we please allocate who'll bring savoury snacks, sweets, maybe a bottle of bubbles, balloons, and someone will need to volunteer to stay behind after he finishes here tonight and decorate his desk. Has everyone signed the card that's gone round?

They're by far my favourite kind of jokes, and I 100% get them from my dad.

I graduated a few weeks ago from DCU (Dublin City University), and when we went out to dinner, my dad turns to me and says "Hey, want to see the best picture I took of u today?"

              So I say yeah..

And he shows me a picture of the U in the DCU sign, before bursting out laughing.

We had a desk move around about a year ago which placed me right in the middle of the office, next to the busy thoroughfare to the water machine and the toilets. Somehow I still manage to have FFS open all day with nary an eyebrow raised. You can do it Doolittle!

I have Kos, Toby, VvD and Williams in my defence and I'm really struggling to bench one of those.
At the moment I'm on Williams for the bench spot, but Bournemouth are really struggling to score.

That's where I'm currently at, but I put so much work into the blog that it seems a shame not to tell people: "This is what I do with some of my spare time. I enjoy it and it involves some skills."

I think it would be fine to add it in a 'hobbies' section but i wouldn't give too much prominence to it.

It would depend on the role though, it could be viewed that you spend your time on FF rather than your work. Although, if it was an analytical/computer based role then it would show you are detail orientated etc.

Very much a job by job basis.

Oh, I don't mean I'd put it on my CV but just mention it on my personal website (which, admittedly, I have a link to on my CV).

VvD went from +86.6 to +0.1 on fplstatistics after his yellow flag was removed.

That sucks, was hoping we would rise before Saturday.

Your personal feelings towards a club shouldn't really affect FPL. Just captain the man 🙂

What's the best points per minute a player has had in a Premier League match? Surely nothing can top Iheanacho's 8 points in two minutes against Crystal Palace?

Hmmm, think I'll take the armband off Vardy looking at Ranieri's presser, Vardy will be targeted by the defenders during the game. It's either Mahrez or Kane, hmmmm.

Aguero looks like playing so I's get him straight in rather than go for a stop gap. We all know he can score against any defense in the world and he only needs mintes to do so. He may not get more than 60 min but I do think Pelle might be tempted to start him after dropping points against Villa.
