A strong run of upcoming fixtures sees Kyle Walker make a significant jump in our recently updated Watchlist rankings.

With clean sheet returns at an absolute minimum of late – a mere five have been recorded right across the board in the previous two Gameweeks – the hunt is on for defenders who can deliver at the attacking end of the field. There’s little doubt that Tottenham’s schedule affords Walker a better chance of returns than the majority of Fantasy defenders on offer right now.

Priced at 5.5 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), Walker is not exactly a cut-price option but a goal, assist and 3 bonus points in his last three games highlight his strength going forward. With Harry Redknapp’s side in a rich vein of form, his ability to lend weight to their attacking ploys could be crucial, as Fantasy managers scratch around for points at the back.

Indeed, a look at the FPL points so far show Walker, with 31, is third-top for Spurs, behind only Rafael Van der Vaart and Emmanuel Adebayor and ahead of the likes of Luka Modric (30) and Gareth Bale (26). His points total for the season is just a couple behind both Jose Enrique and Jose Bosingwa, though while the pair have ownership of 27.8% and 26.5% respectively, Walker has remained well under the radar- so far, he’s been selected by a mere 2.5% of FPL managers.

With (QPR, ful, AVL, wba, BOL, sto) to come in the next six, then, the Fantasy potential is obvious – if injuries at the back can clear, Spurs may even surpass our expectations for clean sheets in that spell. Certainly, if they are to maintain the form that has seen them win five out of six games, Walker’s barnstorming right flank runs could prove pivotal as Redknapp’s side look to push on in their quest for a Champions League slot.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

Would make sense. Neither Balotelli or Aguero started last night, suggesting they both will on Saturday. Against the same opposition too! (poor old Wolves).

Downside is that once City are three up, Aguero will be rested with the Champions League game in mind. Same could be said of RVP, although Arsenal unlikely to be 3-0 up against Chelsea!

If you;re bringing in a City striker for just one game, I would go Balotelli instead.

    B. Bannan to Ramsey (means I have to play Bos against Ars)

Think WC may be a god idea as you need to get rid of Bannan and Moses, you can get better value for Bosingwa, Jarvis doesn't appear to be going anywhere.

Sturridge can be kept as he looks like he's going to be good value this season.

I think A or B look good, not sure A is worth a 4pt-er, but if you are in a decent position that might be a good shout. B if not, IMO.

mancini knows that playing silva and nasri together with 2 strikers will make his very vulnerable to attacks from the wingbacks coz both dnt track back. thats why milner is preferd these days, he has a bigger physical presence and higher workrate

they look like good transfers but not sure it's worth an 8 point hit im afraid.
Think VdV is more important long term...so try and get him in with a 4 point hit if poss?

    Morning lads.

I am thinking to bench Naylor and play Saylor due to the fact that I already have Vorm and Dyer starting. Plus Stk New could easily be 0:0, Saylor could score or he could get some BP, due to the headed clearances.

What do we think? Good logic? I tend not to put all the eggs in one basket.

Diversification-that's what they preach in Business school.

Problem with defenders is it is hard to predict when they are likely to score. I'm in the same situation with the "Swansea Three" and am benching Dyer. Until SWN show some poor form at home, I'm going to double up with Vorm and Naylor.

If you see a 0-0 at STK, then trust your instinct, Dan 😀

Hahahah I knew it, that you would bring that up. I could say only congratulation. We'll see how you are gonna kope without Aguero or Rooney later on. One of the 3 mids needs to be downgraded.

Well I was stating for the previous week obviously. I always find some of your fantasy choices little bit strange, I always prefer Mark's team but seems that works for you, so good job. Keep it up. And I wonder how long this shitty defense will hold on.

At one point this past week I had 3 players from 3 teams, and then 2 randoms. Then I realised that doing that would be mental, so I changed it. I now have 3 players from 2 teams,2 players from 1 team, and 3 randoms. Big difference. Sometimes more eggs make more omelets?

So you have 1 Utd, 1 Liverpool, 1 Chelsea and no City. Who on earth do you have?

I'd suggest Gerrard to Silva long term, doesn't have to be this week

If you had a Vorm and a Sinclair would you also buy a Naylor? If you did, would you regret it? If you had a crystal ball that let you see the future, would you let yourself see the future? If not, what would you do with your crystal ball?

Pretty high for the weekend. He will lose his place eventually I would think to Higginbotham, but strike while the iron is hot.
