Following the weekend result at the theatre of nightmares, I finally find the enthusiasm to pick myself off the floor, dust down and into the studio. As I would expect, Mark isn’t too keen to let things pass unmentioned.

I quickly switch the discussion to my 70-point weekend. I’m a happy man with a Van, with smatterings of Suarez frustration and Dzeko regret thrown in.

Two things I regret from this episode. I kind of hope nobody hears me mention coveting Nicklas Bendtner. It’s like I’ve just come out. Anyway, I’ve joined the support group.

Secondly, I tempted fate spectacularly by mentioning that Luis Suarez had failed to score more than once in a match for Liverpool. Hours later, he kicked me in the unmentionables for the second time in a week. The swine.

Oh and another thing, I went into to the recording with one mission – to mention the early kick-off at Goodison on Saturday, giving us the luxury of seeing the team-sheets before the deadline. I forgot. If only it was as easy to forget Sunday lunchtime.

    Guys and gals,
Can ye evaluate each of these transfers, all of which would require a 4 point hit...basically I/m removing players who have dificult fixtures for those with a good run of 4-5 easier games.

    Suarez out for Aguero
    Cabaye out for Walters
    Bosingwa out for Wilkinson

to clarify, each would cost a 4 point as I have alrready used my free transfer.

no point taking suarez out..has an easy fixture next week...aguero not a guaranteed starter

I like your thinking for each of those. To be fair, Suarez's next two games look good and aguero might be a rotation risk in the near future. I have Bosingwa and should probably do something about it.

Right. I dont see it as a 12 point hit, I see it as three separate hits which individually have the potential to score at least 4 points more over the course of the next 5 games than the players going out.

    Okay...

I'd only do the first one. VDV has fixtures and form on his side whilst Suarez fixtures are still good for two more games.

As soon as you get rid of suarez he'll score, its always the way, i cant see him not scoring or assisting at least twice over next two fixtures, im a proud suarez owner and see no reason to transfer him out. i did mata > VDV same as you, but suarez should stay put right now.

Not that far behind ya, http://fantasy.premierleague.com/entry/67/history/ Van Persie has carried me up the table pretty much single handedly. Oh and my Toon bias paid off rather well last week.

Yeah, quite a few of last seasons mob have disappeared some quite spectacularly (RBJ), none quite as suicidally as your good self though. Planning to see the season out this year? 😉

I can see him scoring 2 i fancy, anything more could be amazing. i even captained gerrard on an off chance last week, so im being confident and capping torres this week, bottom of my mini league (not by a lot tho, like 2-30 points between us all throughout), so ive got nothing much to lose really if it fails, all will be good 🙂

That Jamie19 really is a complete tool. Not only has he virtually mirrored Jamsiep's username but he also doesn't have a clue what he is talking about. That exchange on the last amused too much. What an inflated opinion he has of himself.

I also wouldn't be surprised if he used to post under a different name as not many can make an impression like that as they don't have the bottle.

      5.9 for an Arsenal defender?

Maybe. Still don't trust their defence at all. Even against Sunderland and Stoke they conceded and could easily have conceded more.

I don't think you need both Ade & VDV tbh.

That midfield 4 of Nani/Silva/VDV/Pilkington looks spot on. Ferguson as your fifth is dead wood which you should change to account for more desperate times when your team is stretched.

    Best ideas for my side

    Krul Vorm
    Shawcross Simpson DeLaet Brown BOSINGWA
    Silva Brunt Dyer Petrov JARVIS
    RVP Suarez ROONEY

    2 frees, 2.7 in bank

I think I want VDV for Jarvis.

    Which opinion is best.

    a) Rooney to Aguero
    b) Bosingwa to defender (4.8)

Any other options welcome. Thanks in advance.

Don't do A. As for B defensive options, particularly at the cheap end look desperate this week, but you could play Krul (0-0 Stoke v Newcastle is not an impossibility) and get a Swansea defender in....or gamble and play Vorm/Swans defender.

thanks never looked at it like that! think i've just got thinking about vdvd and haven't been able to stop. geuss it may be better to just back adebayor to be involved and keep mata for now and avoid the hit. as for smalling thanks i had not really thought of that, and he has got some good games running up. but is it naive of me to thing i can get away without vdv through having adebayor, whilst having no man u players in midifield or upfront?

Rooney faces a crowd that would lynch him if they had the chance. His form has also suffered since problems arose concerning his Dad. To exacerbate things, his Euro suspension is undecided.

As history shows, when everything is not well in the Rooney camp, his football suffers.

Aguero has hat trick potential v Wolves so go for it.

Seems pretty nailed on. Foster was singing his praises in the press a couple of weeks back. I got him in 2 weeks ago and he's already got me a clean sheet. However, if I were looking for a 4m defender right now I'd take Wilko. At the time I didn't think he was a 1st team regular but it seems he is after all. Stoke have far better fixtures than WBA, and are solid to boot.
