Following the weekend result at the theatre of nightmares, I finally find the enthusiasm to pick myself off the floor, dust down and into the studio. As I would expect, Mark isn’t too keen to let things pass unmentioned.

I quickly switch the discussion to my 70-point weekend. I’m a happy man with a Van, with smatterings of Suarez frustration and Dzeko regret thrown in.

Two things I regret from this episode. I kind of hope nobody hears me mention coveting Nicklas Bendtner. It’s like I’ve just come out. Anyway, I’ve joined the support group.

Secondly, I tempted fate spectacularly by mentioning that Luis Suarez had failed to score more than once in a match for Liverpool. Hours later, he kicked me in the unmentionables for the second time in a week. The swine.

Oh and another thing, I went into to the recording with one mission – to mention the early kick-off at Goodison on Saturday, giving us the luxury of seeing the team-sheets before the deadline. I forgot. If only it was as easy to forget Sunday lunchtime.

      If it makes you feel better, when I did mine I wasn't sure which City forward to choose so I went for Nasri and Silva, Both were benched, Silva played 20 mins and Nasri didn't play at all..

    What are people doing with Nasri now? Surely his chances of starting this weekend look iffy after playing in the Cup, and with Silva likely to rise again tonight, is it time to switch? Would be an 8 point hit though.

        Not always true - for example, if you had Walcott last week and a defender you didnt want and crappy fixtures, a switch to VDV for Walcott and a defender that would allow you to make the change would have been worthwhile. If even the move lost you 2 points aggregate, yet now you have VDV at a price .3 cheaper than if you had waited, I would say its worth it. I took a 12 pointer last week similar to this scenario and although I just broke even, I now have players in my team that I wouldnt have been able to afford if I hadnt done it. Sometimes it makes sense even if you lose points because future points count as well.

    Guys, which website is more accurate for price changes...Totalfpl or FISO. The former has Aguero at 110% to rise while the latter has him at 34% rise.

      I think Total FPL seems to be more accurate with rises. I never pay attention to Total FPL price falls as Pantillmon has been on -1000% for about 2 weeks at least.

          Too many games in little time - Nani a Primadona(Im portuguese and a Nani fan) he will play limited time - more so in important situations, not so much against easier opposition when you would like to captain. Will be on the ground often, wont be defending at all - will prob lose his spot to Valencia over coming weeks, and then gain it back later. A risk IMO.

      I wouldn't go near Adam Johnson, way too frustrating to have in fantasy terms. I'd go fr the cheaper Brunt or Ramsey instead.

      The defence doesn't look good at all, especially the way you've doubled up on Newcastle and trebled up on Stoke, madness. And Walker is expensive for what you get.. Enrique or Warnock is better value imo.

        Johnson has 2 less points than Ramsey in half the playing time and should get more. More bonus, better PPI, less owners.

        I'm not too keen on Walker also, I'll take a look at Warnock. Think Stoke will keep the most clean sheets in the near future and had Taylor from 4.1 so there's no value losing him.

        Krul and Beg rotate well.

      I'd advise you to spend time looking at the season ticker in the Members area. Look for teams that have got decent fixtures in the next month or six weeks. You'll see that Newcastle aren't looking too hot for the moment.

      And spread your selections around a bit more. For example, you'd probably want to substitute your Stoke players when they're away from home. You can't do that if 3 of the defenders are from Stoke.
