Following the weekend result at the theatre of nightmares, I finally find the enthusiasm to pick myself off the floor, dust down and into the studio. As I would expect, Mark isn’t too keen to let things pass unmentioned.

I quickly switch the discussion to my 70-point weekend. I’m a happy man with a Van, with smatterings of Suarez frustration and Dzeko regret thrown in.

Two things I regret from this episode. I kind of hope nobody hears me mention coveting Nicklas Bendtner. It’s like I’ve just come out. Anyway, I’ve joined the support group.

Secondly, I tempted fate spectacularly by mentioning that Luis Suarez had failed to score more than once in a match for Liverpool. Hours later, he kicked me in the unmentionables for the second time in a week. The swine.

Oh and another thing, I went into to the recording with one mission – to mention the early kick-off at Goodison on Saturday, giving us the luxury of seeing the team-sheets before the deadline. I forgot. If only it was as easy to forget Sunday lunchtime.

Does Fabio have a chance to permanently displace Evra? Because Evra has been horrible and Mr Alex seems pretty upset.

I think some of the blame also falls with Mr Alex, playing Evans was a poor decision, he is not good enough.

Currently on WC; What do you guys think the better option?
Aguero & Bendy & 6m Midfielder (prob Drenthe - Doesnt need to play this week)
    v
    Balotelli & Ade & Ramsey?

Seriously Torn - Aguero will hurt me by not having but Balo will do the business if he starts games (have RVP, Silva, VDV)

Cheers, i know it makes sense but I'm QPR fan so hate having conflict of interest! Also I have Adebayor so doubling Spurs attack if i gert VDV. Suppose QPR conceded 6 in their last away game to an average Fulham team so an on form Spurs team could mean another hiding.

My stupid little brain can't decide, so can your brains help me?

    1)
    Vorm Ruddy
    Kompany Simpson Enrique BAE Wilkinson
    VDV Moses Silva Sinclair Walters
    Adebayor Aguero RVP

    OR...

    2)
    Vorm Ruddy
    Kompany Simpson Enrique Boyata Wilkinson
    VDV Nani Silva Sinclair Walters
    Adebayor Sturridge RVP

    For simpler minds:
    OUT = BAE, Moses, Aguero.
    IN = Boyata, Nani, Sturridge.

The stupid problem is that I would probably end up benching Nani this week 'cos I really wanna play Walters and Sinclair. WHAT DO I DO!?!?! ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

im planning to play my wilcard in 3 weeks so want to know if getting rid of amta and bosingwa for a defender and vdv is worth it when i already have ade.

this has been tearing me up for hours and vdv's price will rise any minute now so help pleaseeeeeeeeee!!!!!

If you have a plan to wildcard in 3 weeks take a few risks such as doubling up on Tottenham.
Bosingwa to Shawcross is the option I would choose.

Considering their respective disciplinary records so far, anyone else think 13/2 for Chelsea-Arsenal to have the most cards this weekend is a decent bet?

PS Paddy Power's Scout Specials are up too, which gives you an idea of the Scout Picks: VDV, Silva, Nani, Sinclair, Walters may be the midfield, Bendtner looks to be getting the nod up front, and Walker in defence. All good shouts if you ask me.

i suppose wht im really asking is will shawcross and vdv combined score over 4 points more than mata and bosingwa over the next 3 gameweeks, and to that i think i would say yes. does those present agree with this???

It's tricky. Suarez good form and a good couple of fixtures, but I'd probably want rid afterwards. Nani on the other hand, not great form & a small rotation risk, but I'd be happy to keep him long term due to great medium term fixtures and rather have Man U attacking coverage than Liverpool. Also, Man City score a lot more than Spurs.

I was going to say that now might be a good time to wildcard, but if you're trying to dig your team out of a bit of a hole, you really need to WC at the start of the week to make some profit from the price rises.

Bring Brown and Dyer on for Dunne and Long, then if you struggle this week, WC next week.

    hi night owls

what would you do with this lot this week?
was thinking rvp -> aguero and captain aguero this week, then aguero -> rvp next week
don't really fancy vdv as already have adebayor, and can't see any other pressing transfers

    ruddy
    wilkinson, kompany, brown
    dyer, brunt, gerrard, silva
    rooney, rvp, adebayor

subs: henesssey, ben arfa, warnock, simpson

I was considering this after you said the other night Nick but I think i will stick with RVP. Four goals in his last two league games and Chelsea have only kept one clean sheet all season, plus it seems that Aguero is unlikely to play full 90 minutes.

i dropped nani last week, he doesnt look himself, but i guess going by past seasons form, he could score big in any game, especially ones at old trafford. and you defo need utd cover for the next few weeks. shame you cant work rooney in instead, and then be able to drop nani

Is it an absolute no-no to have attacking players and defending players in the same fixture? Might be looking at playing Vorm v MPetrov, or even Bosingwa v RVP. Do you even avoid having two attacking or two defending in the same fixture? Is that rational?

      Sometimes it's unavoidable...
You go for broke or to play the two and go for 50:50.. Worst case scenario is when your attacking team scores with no involvement from your player.. But such is fpl..

I know, but he's returned exactly 1 assist since I got him. That's it. Every other one of my midfielders has strong fixtures, so I can't really fit him in and honestly, don't really want to. He's gone next week anyway.

All that said, I fully expect Utd to bounce back, just not Young personally.

                    Over their next 10...

RVP: WBA, nor, FUL, wig, EVE, mc, vil, WOL, QPR, ful.

Rooney: SUN, swa, NEW, vil, WOL, qpr, ful, WIG, bla, new.

I'd give RVP the nod on the first 5 and Roondog the nod for the last 5. May well be that he does outscore RVP, but I don't think it'll be by much.

wow your in a real awkward situation there, I see why you have your current 11. Hmm you will need to take a punt on which team will do bad, personally I might think of leaving Nani on the bench because he may not start due to a potential SAF backlash from last week. You can find out this weekend though because the sides should be named before the deadline due to the early start.

Doubling up on Stoke defenders? Good at home but means you have to play your other 3 defenders by default when Stoke are away...

I'd swap out one of them for someone like N.Taylor (Swansea) and upgrade Moses to a better cheap mid.
