Following the weekend result at the theatre of nightmares, I finally find the enthusiasm to pick myself off the floor, dust down and into the studio. As I would expect, Mark isn’t too keen to let things pass unmentioned.

I quickly switch the discussion to my 70-point weekend. I’m a happy man with a Van, with smatterings of Suarez frustration and Dzeko regret thrown in.

Two things I regret from this episode. I kind of hope nobody hears me mention coveting Nicklas Bendtner. It’s like I’ve just come out. Anyway, I’ve joined the support group.

Secondly, I tempted fate spectacularly by mentioning that Luis Suarez had failed to score more than once in a match for Liverpool. Hours later, he kicked me in the unmentionables for the second time in a week. The swine.

Oh and another thing, I went into to the recording with one mission – to mention the early kick-off at Goodison on Saturday, giving us the luxury of seeing the team-sheets before the deadline. I forgot. If only it was as easy to forget Sunday lunchtime.

I've just had a crazy thought. What if i solve the Man City striker rotation problem by getting in ALL 3 in a wild card move? I would make sure I would be happy playing any of my subs (ie not Ferguson!!). I'm looking at GW16 when their fingers become pretty sweet. That would give me a few weeks of RVP and Rooney with their nice fixtures. I really think this could work IF Man City keep up their early season form. Thoughts? The main problem I can see is the risk of a captain getting 10 mins from the bench, but I would also have VDV as a captain option.

Interesting ... but how annoying would it be if your subs scored highly but the City forwards made 10 minute cameos and scored 0?

Yeah the 10 minute cameos are what ruins that theory... but you can actually make a pretty shit-hot team with those 3 up front: Nani and VDV, plus say Ramires, Walters and Ramsey in mid, Bosingwa, Shawcross and some cheapies in defence.

If you have the balls to go with it, good luck to you!

How many times have/ will those 10 minutes cameos get more points than the sub who would be replacing them in your fantasy team?

In fact, there's on one occasion for Balotelli, and two for Dzeko where they've come on for a 1-point cameo, so it would have worked out pretty well if you'd done it from the start. Although you'd have missed out on Rooney's hattricks and RVP's braces of course.

Aguero, Balotelli, Dzeko. No Silva or Kompany. I've thought about this before but dismissed it as too mad lol. How much are all 3, around 30? If you could build a good mid so it drops down gracefully to 3-5-2 when one doesn't play... yes.

Current draft has VDV, Ramsey, Drenthe, Arfa/Sessegnon. I'm still toying with the idea of Baines. And by delaying my WC to GW16 it gives me the perfect opportunity to see exactly how much potential he is going to lose to Drenthe. Everton's fixtures become extra special from then. If I decide against Baines, then Sessegnon would become a big hitter (though that would mean losing my New/Sun midfield rotation so having a problem deciding who to bench).

Right I decided to apply your crazy idea. This team works for me JUST financially, I don't think I'm the richest so might for you. I present the 'Lemming Team':

      Vorm Al-Habsi
      Enrique RTaylor NTaylor Simpson Wilkinson
      VDV Nani Gerrard Ramsey Pilkington
      Aguero Balotelli Dzeko

Obviously can work in Lampard/Mata/Young price bracket with a bit of tweaking, or swap Ramsey for Sinclair/Waldown/MPetrov. Built team so it can switch down from 3-4-3 to 3-5-2 if required.

Clearly I couldn't execute the transfers and check my team value so I added up manually on the 'current price' values at transfer screen. 102.7 by current price. May be less depending on you already having some players.

Reckon its worth a cheeky wild card punt in GW16 then? I'm still 90+ points behind my main rival due to not having any Man Utd coverage, so I need to think outside the box!

These are the mother of all differentials, add Baines and it becomes the grandmother... if you can't make up the points by the predictable routes, by all means do it. They won't know what's hit them.

Please use it, your team needs a bit of work. You should not have Mikel, Adam, and Nasri in midfield. Also your defense is far too expensive because clean sheets just aren't happening at the moment. Reinvest in more high profile attackers and a better midfield.

SSSSHHHHH........ I'll let you guys in on a secret. But only if you be nice and promise to help me out when I post in the future. Deal? Sylvain Marveaux is only 4.7 mill. He is an attacking winger who scored loads of goals in France. He was the one who assisted Cabeye on saturday. He will be in the team ahead of Obertan soon enough. Probably even this week. Might be worth holding off until our fixtures ease, but he might have gone up by then. I would be rotating him with Sess so the fixtures aren't such a problem. I've had my eye of HBA since the start of the season, but I'm thinking that Sly might be an even better bet! Thoughts?

    My captain options are:

    Silva
    Nani
    VDV
    Adebayor
    RVP
    Bendtner

Given that Bendtner is too risky and that RVP plays Chelsea and Silva may be rested, it's down to Nani, VDV and Adebayor.

Trolling through opta data, so far as I can tell it's a coin toss between VDV and Ade. Both score from inside the box, which is where QPR concede 90% of their shots, but Ade wins a lot more aerial duels than VDV. Could this shade it in Ade's favor? Or should I just throw out the stats and go with last week's hero?

    Thanks!

any particular reason youre playing vorm over ruddy? I was thinking ruddy at home to blackburn would be the better option

Im guessing it is because Norwich havent kept a cleanie yet, Bolton are just as bad as Blackburn atm and Swansea are epic at home.

love a bita vorm, made a pact that i'd play him every week since i dropped given a good few weeks ago, got pissed at having sub keeper with points!

vc i usually pick someone naff but this week might need it, im a massive fan of getting rid of vice captaincy altogether!

straight red is typically a 3 match ban, so it's not SO stupid a question. and if the poster hasn't been around the discussion boards, how should he know? it wouldn't be the first time FPL got the red/yellow flags wrong.

Straight red is not typically a red card, it is to do with the tackle itself..
Maybe a normal question Monday or something, but its Friday now..even if it wasnt said so many times on here, fpl would have fixed it up if there was an error..which there clearly wasnt..

I've said it before and I'll say it again, the only thing more annoying than people posting the same questions over and over is other people getting all righteous about it.... if you can't be arsed answering, don't. It takes more energy to type a smart-arse reply than to just be helpful and say "He's served his ban midweek."

    Hello

    Please can you RMT?

    Vorm (Given)

    Kompany, Simpson, Bosingwa (Ward, Gabbidon)

    Silva, Petrov, VDV, Dyer (Moses)

    Rooney, RVP, Adebayor

I have one free transfer and 0.3m in the bank.

I was thinking Bosingwa to either shawcross, walker or Richards?

    Or ward to wilkinson?

    Thanks...
