Who to captain out of these 4?

    A. Aguero back on form
    B. Lakaku has been doing great this season
    C. Ighilo I can see he maybe get one goal
    D. PVA and a risky one as I don't normally captain defenders but has been good last 3 and got goals

Do you really believe what a footballer has to say? Bale's, Suarez's etc comments before left. They even signed contracts.. (!)

They just can't say no to RM and Barca.

At the time Spurs and Liverpool weren't as easily capable of returning to the forefront of world football as United are now (once we part ways with LVG) so it's not really a like for like comparison.

On what planet are Man United returning to the forefront of world football? iirc, Bale left Spurs after finishing in the top 4 and Suarez left Pool after finishing 2nd. Both were at a better level than United are now, easily.

Bale: Spurs weren't playing European football when they finished top 4, so fewer distractions, plus Levy likes to sell the value assets. It's not unusual to think Bale didn't think Spurs would ever match his ambition (and he was right).

Liverpool: Finished 2nd due mostly to him, without any CL distractions and didn't have a stellar squad at the time, so much like Bale, it's not unusual to think that he didn't believe they would match his ambition (and he was right).

United: With as little hubris as possible, United has more money than both clubs combined, and it's only a matter of time, not an if statement. Whether that's another 2-3 years or next year with the right management is the question.

Also I said capable, not that United are well on their way. There are still a lot of things to fix at the club, as high up as the boardroom.

My team for this coming GW:

    Butland
    Simpson Toby Smith
    Mahrez KDB Alli Ozil
    Lukaku Kun(c) Kane

    Henny|Gosling|Bellerin|Dann

    2FT
    0.4 ITB

Dann I think should go? I can do a stright swap for Baines but that's maybe not the best idea for future investments in midfield, espeially with so many decent cheap defensive options..
Use my 2 FT or do 1 and have 2 again for next GW?

Pool v Stoke (1-0): Toss up really. Pool are very up/down and have been unconvincing. I'd give a very small edge to Pool at home to go thru, but a 2-0 stoke win would not surprise me in the least.

City v Everton (1-2): With Aguero getting back in form, I give the edge to City. Everton's defending is woeful lately.

So by my reckoning, we will have City, Pool, Everton and Newcastle with DGW's

and people forget he is a BOU defender, they wont get a clean sheet or a pen every week. I think people will play him again this weekend, get disappointed and he will be stuck on their bench for a long time to complain about his benched points haul when he gets them in like 6 GWs time 😀

It's a strange one. Speroni shouldn't get another game now and will probably join the coaching staff next year. He only got a 1 year extension because he triggered a contract clause. Maybe when we're safe. But then Pardew does throw a curve-ball at times.

Henn should get one more game, if Pardew is consistent with McCarthy. But my only reasoning that he might get more is that we just tried to ship McCarthy off to qpr on loan with Green going the other way. That tells me he's not happy with McCarthy just yet but also wanting green means maybe Henn could be for the chop. Long answer saying nothing. Basically if Pardew is consistent Henn should get 1 more game to prove himself then McCarthy will come in if he doesn't. Have to remember at the beginning of the season Pardew was saying McCarthy was better than Henn and could become an England keeper.

But regardless, until we sign a striker or get Sako and Yala fit Cabaye will probably still play further up field and we'll probably still concede goals. It's when Yohan plays cdm that we are tight at the back.

Is a 4-3-3 right for this lot this week?

    Butland (lei)
Moreno (nor) - Bellerin (CHE) - Dier (cry) - Dawson (AVL)
Alli (cry) - Ozil (CHE) - Silva (whu)
Lukaku [c] (SWA) - Aguero (whu) - Ighalo (NEW)

Myhill (AVL) - Ramsey (CHE) - Francis (sun) - Payet (MCI)

    1FT 0.8m

If I didn't know the value of keeping it for a DGW, this would be a prime time to use Bench Boost.

Chappy Chaps - am I good to go? Appreciate the feedback

    Butland
    Moreno - Toby - Sagna
    Payet - Ali - Ozil - Silva
    Aguero - Lukaku - Kane

    Bench:
    McCarthy - Mahrez - Williams - Simpson

Next transfer will probably be Mccarthy out or maybe ship Sagna for ballerin / baines?

Should I do Kane ➡ Aguero for free this GW?

Yeah but it's away from home and he sucks away from home regardless of weather it's Sunderland or not. I'd rather have Aguero than KDB and in order to get Aguero I need to get rid of KDB to fund it.

Let me qualify my response. As a simple equation, no. If it is for cash reasons then perhaps depending on who you want it for. In the end if it will make the game more enjoyable for you then do it!

Just thinking back to last seasons DGW's, who all did you have and which was you most successful?

GW28 TOT, QPR: Rose, Kane(C), Austin

Not bad, Rose, if I recall, got an assist in the first DGW match which got the community excited; only to blank and get a YC in the second

GW31: AVL, QPR: Austin(C), Benteke, Phillips

This was my best showing. 42 for Austin, 24 from Tekkers and Phillips had 18 i believe? He had a cracking goal in the 3-3 draw between the two.

GW34: CHE, LEI, LIV, HUL: Hazard(C), Ivan, Vardy, Cambiasso, Schuulp, Sterling, Skrtel

Awful. Hazard had two blanks, Pool didn't score a goal and couldn't keep a CS vs Hull. Only attacking returns were a Vardy goal and a Cambiasso assit. Goes to show you more DGW players does not always equal more points.

GW37: ARS, SUN: Sanchez(C), Cazorla, Kos, Panti

No goals, but Panti got 2 CS, 2 Save points and 4 BAPS total.

Fplstatistics or fantasy football fix ? First has targett at 100% to rise, later at 77%.
