The waiting is finally over and we are pleased to roll out the first round draws for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup XII as well as our Members Cup VI. For those who submitted their teams for the Gameweek 22 qualifying round, read on to discover if you made the cut as we assess some of the standout match ups to take place in the first rounds during Gameweek 23.

The cut off score in the Fantasy Football Scout Cup was 68 points, which was an impressive 22 points above the overall Gameweek 22 average. With an overall placing of 323,252 ComeonSpurs is the lowest-ranked player with that score to make the cut.

The high qualifying score means some high-flying Fantasy managers fell by the wayside. This includes CTreacy, the current leader of the FFScout league and 11th placed in the overall ranking, who missed the cut by three points.

Luckily for reigning champion Mark, who scored 55 points in Gameweek 22, all former winners get a bye into the first round. He faces a tough tie against The Quarrymen, who is ranked 103,471 places above him.

Amongst our other former winners Gribude takes on Wheato, mch faces DK5, donnellyc squares up to plummo, Jonty (that’s me) has an encounter with ftnc, while CMIFLFC has a match up with Edmond.

Another former winner, sleepingmaster, will take on community regular Parm.

Meanwhile, Tdubb05 faces Martinp, Wild Rover meets Keith Renouard and Gooner Dave will be hoping his experience of winning the competition will see off Hazardous Blue. Finally among our winners, Ninja Fit Saints takes on Hellraisers.

Other key ties include Sanoj85’s contest against former FPL champion Tom Fenley, while garpheet is another to draw a short straw as he prepares to do battle with Simon March (Dufflinks), the reigning FPL champion.

The highest ranked qualifier is Lexon39, who is 49 in the world and progressed with a score of 79. He faces The dude – Brighton fan in round one.

The full first round draw of the Fantasy Football Scout Cup can be found here.

The cut off score in the Members Cup was also 68. Those with more than that score or with 68 and a rank below 84,590 progress to round one.

With a rank of 133, Albana City is the highest placed manager in the competition and faces Carlton Palmer in round one.

Amongst our former winners Acquafresca takes on Genovoze, while Trigg meets Jimgranty.

Other notable encounters in the Members Cup include Tom Fenley’s clash with community regular S Kuqi, while I face another notable community member Bowstring the Carp.

The Members Cup qualifying round’s highest scorer Facer, who notched an impressive 102 points in Gameweek 22, takes on Somewhatpleasing.

The full first round draw of the Members Cup can be found here.

Lol at everyone looking forward to the Cup only to get dumped out in round one by a triple captain chip 😛

Surely the chips shouldn't count in cup competitions? Make sense in a league but not for cup ties

On the 'going with vs going without Aguero' front in light of last night's Scoutcast, surely the fact that City have such good players supplying Aguero with chances points towards why it is better to have him than to opt against. No other team in the Premiership boasts an attacking three of Silva, De Bruyne and Sterling playing just behind the striker. Therefore, when you're looking at the captaincy, you're not just considering Aguero - you're also looking at the chances that those three can create for the league's best striker. It's an obvious point to make but I think it's easy to overlook it.

You sure Sterling playing behind Aguero increases Agueros chances or in fact decreases them?

Sterling is hardly known for his Pirlo-esque vision and through balls.

Sterling less so, but De Bruyne and Silva, certainly. Arsenal might have Ozil but they don't have two excellent playmakers of that quality.

    Aguero(C) or Lukaku(C)?

Kane (C) but Aguero personally. Both likely to score one goal each.

I think Kane for (C) this GW. Both Aguero and Lukaku could score a goal. Kane could rip CPL apart after the Leicester stomping.

I have a similar team - I have Schmeichel in ahead of Butland (this call has never worked for me in the past mind!)

Decent transfers I'd say. Could you do Vardy/ Arnie to Fermino +1?

Here's a question.. which combo is more worth it from next week... Marez and Kane or Sanchez and Ighalo? because im thinking of downgrading Kane to Ighalo and upgrading Marez to sanchez, now that Marez is off pens and in bad form but I appreciate its a risk because of ownership levels and Ighalos form. Im also chasing in my league so will need to take some gambles.

    Thanks guys 🙂

I'm unsure about my transfer this week, I have 2 FTs:

    A. Toby to Baines (this would require using all my ITB and using a transfer to save 0.1m on my bench fodder, meaning it would take 2 moves to bring in Sanchez if he hits the ground running and only 1 FT); or

    B. Cathcart to Nyom (sideways but I want guaranteed starters and Cathcart was rotated recently)

A'noon all. OK then, some feedback on this lot would be appreciated! Have 2FT and

    Myhill - Hennessey
    Toby - Bellerin - Moreno - Simpson - Smith
    KDB - Mahrez - Payet - Ozil - Alli
    Kun - Kane - Luka

If Sanchez looks decent this weekend I'm keen to get him in for gw 24 (SOU) and could make Alli 4th mid and do this:

Payet and Mahrez to Sanchez and Barry

I think Myhill will have to go soon with Foster back. If I do the above I could do Boruc or Fabiansky.

    Any thoughts? Cheers !
