Fantasy Football Scout are pleased to announce the eagerly-awaited return of the Paddy Power Cup. The fifth instalment of the open-to-all free-to-enter cup competition is back, with some fantastic prizes to boot. What is the Paddy Power Cup?

The Paddy Power Cup is our version of the Fantasy Premier League’s (FPL) Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the Manager with highest in the overall standing will progress.

How do I enter?

As with the Members Paddy Power Cup, entry for the competition is simple, just follow this link and fill out the form as required. A confirmation email will be sent shortly after you’ve submitted your details to acknowledge your entry has been received. Just like the FPL, multiple entries to the Cup are not permitted. Please ensure that you enter your FPL Team Id details correctly, any entries added incorrectly will not be entered into the qualifying round.

This cup is open to Members and Non-Members alike. A seperate Members only Cup will follow early in the New Year.

When does it start?

All entries received before the Gameweek 12 deadline will be entered into the qualifying round. In this first cup competition we will have 1024 qualifiers for the first round – those 1024 managers with the top scores in gameweek 12 will progress to the first round proper which will be played in gameweek 13. Again, FPL standing will decide who progresses in the event of tied positions.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the qualifying round will be published around 24-hours after gameweek 12 has been completed and the draw for the first round will then follow.

When are the fixtures released?

The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each gameweek deadline.

Are there prizes?

Sponsors Paddy Power are supplying the competition with some great prizes and we’re supplementing these with Amazon Vouchers. The prizes break down as follows:

  • Winner – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
  • Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
  • 3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

Entrants will need a Paddy Power account and be aged 18 and over to be eligible for some of the above prizes. Prizes are also subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.

      I do realise it's a bandwagon, but at 6m I can't see it working out THAT much worse than say Sess / Walters / Brunt, I think I'm owed a punt after ending up with Petrov on the basis of a conservative "proven points scorer" calculation, but I agree captaining him is absolutely mental.

        Nah i aint got much in the bank probably 0.1 if anything ha. I like having one expensive nailed on defender from a good team, but that may change over time. Wilkinson isnnt that great in my opinion cause Stoke are not as solid as they once were.

          They only got shakey when Shawcross was injured - he's back now.
          They should be good for home matches NOT straight after euro matches.
          My only 'expensive' def is Enrique and I like it like that. Means I can pack the midfield.
          I've got about 3.5 in the bank , so my plan is to get Lamps soon and end up with Lamps/Nani/VDV/Silver/ Sinclair midfield 🙂

            Oh wow that is pretty awesome, I'm waiting on to see whether Rooney starts to perform or not, thinking that if he does i might be downgrading a midfield player to get him in. But thatg is interesting on the defender front to upgrade the midfield... might have to look into that. Think i would more look at Drenthe//Sess for now tho haha!

          Bendy, Sess, Gardner, Larss...Sess is also on indirect free kicks and corners as is Larss, but only Larss is on direct free kicks..which is why I want to upgrade to Larss asap, after this gw.

      Do not transfer out a talented keeper who plays 90 minutes each week for a bandwagoned player who will lose his spot come Christmas. If you're going to get rid of Given for anyone (which is unwise), get Vorm, Howard or Begovic.

        In their next 8 fixtures, Aston Villa play Spurs, United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea, middle three at home. The other 3 matches are on the road. Last year Friedel and Villa kept only 7 clean sheets. I don't know why I fell under Given's spell, fixtures, I guess. Time to cut the cord.

      I've just signed up - got a blank white screen ... clicked back, and submit again and it said an entry had already been received from me so if you're getting a white screen, it's probably worked.

    I normally don't qualify for the FFS cup. Either the other person's team has a stormer or I have a terrible week.
    I won't let the Cup thing influence my league form. In fact I was thinking of resting a few bigger players and giving youth a chance.
    I think Carling should be sponsoring this not Paddy Power 🙂
