Jason Puncheon returns in time for Palace’s cup clash with Reading this evening. Riyahd Mahrez has fully recovered from the cramp that led to his withdrawal at Watford, Shane Long is back for Southampton’s trip to Stoke, whilst Aaron Lennon remains a doubt as Everton square up to Chelsea in the last eight of the FA Cup.

Claudio Ranieri has confirmed that Riyad Mahrez has fully recovered from the cramp that saw him withdrawn late on against Watford last Saturday evening. Matty James is the only absentee for the Foxes clash with Newcastle on Monday.

Per Mertesacker and Gabriel have both recovered from the injuries that forced them off against Hull on Tuesday night. Laurent Koscielny has “a little chance” of making Sunday’s cup clash with Watford, whilst Arsene Wenger went on to reveal that Aaron Ramsey’s thigh problem is “a small alert”, though the Gunners have yet to establish a full prognosis.

Jason Puncheon is available for Palace’s cup clash with Reading tonight. Connor Wickham remains ruled out with a thigh injury and is expected back in time for the Gameweek 32 clash against West Ham in early April. Wayne Hennessey is back in contention after missing out with a minor injury last weekend.

Aaron Lennon is “progressing well” from a hamstring injury but remains a doubt for Everton’s cup clash with Chelsea. Bryan Oviedo is a doubt after picking up a chest infection, though Tom Cleverley and Gareth Barry have both recovered from similar complaints. Kevin Mirallas serves the first of a two-match ban for the Toffees.

Shane Long has recovered from a knee injury in time for Southampton’s trip to Stoke. Skipper Jose Fonte sits this one out after being sent off against Sunderland last week, whilst Jay Rodriguez is set to step up his fitness by turning out for the reserves next week.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that he’ll make a late decision on the fitness of Harry Arter. The Bournemouth boss revealed that Josh King is playing with a knock, though Junior Stanislas remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.

    New name and Grav...and back to the Beatles.

    It's a little known fact that Lennon and McCartney actually did record together again after the Beatles. It was during Lennon's "lost weekend" with Nillsen. Paul McCartney turned up at the studios and spent time recording with Lennon, Stevie Wonder, Harry Nillsen and a couple of session folk.

    The results have been published as a bootleg LP entitled "A toot and a snore in '74"

    It's rubbish.

          HN is one of the most interesting characters in music though. His influence on Lennon and McCartney was massive.

          All those quirky songs that appear on their later albums are easily spotted as being driven by HN's earlier music.

              Yeah. His results can be a bit hit or miss but he was forever trying to push what music can be and what themes it could take....as oppose the usual songs of love and such like.

      With that team u only have 10 starters for this week. Payet has no game this week so wouldnt play AOA Wouldnt as you wont have 8 attackers which is the point of the chip. Only use AOA if u use both ur FTs

    Some tough decisions this week, I have 2 FT.

    Butland
    Toby-Huth-Williams-Targett
    Mahrez-Alli-Sanchez
    Aguero-Vardy-Kane

    Payet-Firmino-Dawson

    I'm keeping the three currently on my bench and doing Sanchez to Silva/YYT (both look crap atm tbh).

    Should I save a transfer and risk Targett? Or get someone who'll definitely play? An extra FT feels very valuable with DGW announcements coming soon, perhaps moreso than the one/two points that using it will inevitably get me this week.

    Any thoughts on the following most appreciated...

    I'm thinking using my FT to do Ighlo > Kane (avl, BOU, liv) but will still only be able to field 10 and that's playing both Target and Richards 🙁

    If I'm looking to WC GW33 should I now take a 4pt hit to bring to bring in Siggy (bou, AVL, sto) for one of the blankers below and if so which?

    1) Sanchez (eve, WAT)
    2) Payet (che,CPL)
    3) Firminio (sot, TOT)

    I could even be tempted to take a .8 hit for somthing like Payet > Siggy & Richards > Wolly or Sanchez >Siggy & Richards to Kompany

      The comic series it's based on is great. The Captain America aftermath storyline even better. Looking forward to seeing this and fingers crossed they stick to the comic and make the sequel to it too.

    Just to share my thoughts. Newcastle being without a manager still doesnt mean that their injured backline will come to the field miraculously 🙂 They are still poor. Garde could have had the effect of bounceback to avl, but he didnt. They are just poor.

    Mahrez C still in tact.

            Nah, not really. He can score 5 and its still good for you. His EO wont be over 100, so it will be your gain. I believe rarely people will cpt Mahrez and i think he has 2 goals in him vs new.
