After assessing the Defence and Midfield numbers over the last four matches, we turn our attentions to up front this evening. A number of double Gameweek options arrive under analysis, including Everton, City and Newcastle’s main men, whilst we also compare Arsenal and United’s strikers and doff our cap to Tottenham’s man of the moment after a series of scintillating displays.

    TIP:

If you're tearing your hair out on whether to keep your spurs/foxes assets or go hell for leather on your wildcard/bench boost - remember, turn the problem around

    As such:

Would you feel worse NOT owning Harry Kane as he bags a Monday night brace against an already on holiday Stoke as Sanchez hits a West Brom and Palace double brick wall?

    or

Would you feel worse NOT owning Sanchez as pressure-less Arsenal blitz away two of the most "meh" teams in the land in a seven to eight goal two game frenzy whilst Spurs secure a narrow but crucial one nil win?

I know which one I'd choose. And I'd be devastated if a player I wanted on a double but didn't get because I kept a Kane or an Ali or an Eriksen went ballistic.

(I used Sanchez as an example as general consensus is you can't have him, ozil, lukaku, aguero and harry together - so seems to be a straight choice between Sanchez and Watford/United attacker - or Kane and cheaper almost certain to be rotated Liverpool mid)

      exactly this

currently the only SGWer i am keeping is Mahrez as the 6.5ish alternatives are all a bit meh

can;t afford Sanchez atm. Troy is an interesting pick and could be a nice swap for Defoe

Currently I have Martial in place but even with Troy I would struggle to fit Sanchez in

Troy to Defoe will be my 35 move. Fancy him less for the 37 fixtures so happy to do that. My other one will be Ward for Morgan/Simpson. Which will still give me 9 doubles for 37 plus Mahrez (never benched, ever) and Kun

Martial is a great shout, I'd be tempted if I could afford him but my defence would look like a car crash

              my defence is

              Cech, Robles

              Kos, Rojo, Clyne, Sakho, Janmaat

I am also minded to swap Martial to Defoe in 35 to get 11 out. I may want Martial back, but I can shift Kun in GW37 to either Martial or Costa.

Lukaku, Payet and one other will be my GW35 outfield blankers, it depends on who my 5th mid is but I would like Defoe for GW37, by that point you need players from team with something to fight for

You're giving Kane a 2 goal upside and implying an 8 goal potential upside for Sanchez, obviously Sanchez is going to look better on the basis of those particular assumptions.

Because that's not the point I was trying to make. The point is that people are acting as if having no Kane in your wildcard team somehow relegates you to not having him again the rest of the season.

I'll be bringing him back in GW35 when Spurs host West Brom but likely will opt for Lukaku and Kun the week before to take advantage of the double game week.

I can have Sanchez, Lukaku, Aguero and Kane. I think.

For most it's not the question Harry vs Sanchez. It's Harry vs Wickham, Mitrovic et al. And the answer is far more easy.

That is quite simply not the question. And I bet you don't have ozil in that team so it's the same thing really

I personally believe the most points potential in 34 lies in double arsenal attack. Nobody knows what might happen, but I think that's the best chance

        Therfore I can't afford harry

Well, I was wrong - I can't squeeze them all in (perhaps with Ozil I could), just two. But can you force both Sanchez and Ozil in without some drastic compromise? Or you'd pair someone else (Welbeck?) with one of them?

I'm not going with any Liverpool defensive options for DGWs, what are your thoughts?

Their defence is average and their DGW fixtures aren't particularly tantalising from a defensive point of view. I'll have de Gea, Bello, Cresswell and will look at others. Are Liverpool's defensive options really worth it?

They do have a good gw35 fixture which is why I am considering 1.

    For GW34 - thoughts?

    DDG - Elliot
    Kos - Bellerin - Coleman - Olsson - Clyne
    Sanchez - Firmino - Coutinho - Payet - Lanzini
    Aguero - Lukaku - Perez

Clyne/Perez vs Moreno/Mitro is a decision atm (unfortunately my best options, aside from Berahino, for have full GW35 + GW37)

It's a calculated gamble getting rid of Kane

Though keeping Kane is the logical choice given his form, I simply can't afford to hold onto him without the rest of the team looking gash. This is where VORP comes back into play and makes the game a bit more open and diverse.

I'm going with Deeney as he has nice fixtures and decent form, and with the 5.0m I'm saving I can get the defenders I want, double up on Arsenal with Ozil/ Sanchez and get a balanced team in all areas that sets up nicely for GW35 and onward.

By losing Kane, you can argue that you lose a great (C) option, but I'm not sure I would (C) Kane against any of liv, MUN, sto, che; teams that are capable of keeping it tight or marking Kane out of the game, not to mention trying to secure their own season targets such as Europe. WBA and SOT have kept 9 and 11 clean sheets respectively this season, so it's hard to know what sides might turn up there, then Newcastle might be in for a relegation battle in GW38 so again who knows what would happen.

There's a good case for both keeping him and ditching him, but unless I had another 5.0m I don't see much point personally

You'er making a good case for ditching him . but hard to look past having him for GW35. And it's not like there's a lot of alternatives in red hot form. and re Deeny- Watford only scored 3 in last 7 , and all their DGW matches are away, and not the easiest

Seriously don't get the wc teams with only 10 11 12 dgws , surely having 15dgwers with the bench boost outweighs the gw 35 problem of getting out a full 11. I know what I'm doing, live a little.
