After assessing the Defence and Midfield numbers over the last four matches, we turn our attentions to up front this evening. A number of double Gameweek options arrive under analysis, including Everton, City and Newcastle’s main men, whilst we also compare Arsenal and United’s strikers and doff our cap to Tottenham’s man of the moment after a series of scintillating displays.
Who to play
Deeney (ars)
OR
Barkley (mun)barkley. or neither.
Other options are Jagielka and Clyne(TOT)
barkley then.
Barkley
ross
Neither have the fixture, so go with the form
Deeney for meDeeney imo, at least he is on pens....
Wait and see what the Arsenal defence is
Reid ( CPL, lei, wat, WBA, SWA, MUN)
Newcastle defender ( nor, SWA, MCI, liv, CPL, avl)
Can possibly see more clean sheets for Newcastle than West Ham - crazy?er yes...
only argument for newcastle is they have a fixture in 35
Also don't have a DWG in 37 so not too fussed about that on balance.
Good stats under Rafa though
i think so.
- Sanchez v Kane - The DGWK Dilemma
TIP:
If you're tearing your hair out on whether to keep your spurs/foxes assets or go hell for leather on your wildcard/bench boost - remember, turn the problem around
As such:
Would you feel worse NOT owning Harry Kane as he bags a Monday night brace against an already on holiday Stoke as Sanchez hits a West Brom and Palace double brick wall?
or
Would you feel worse NOT owning Sanchez as pressure-less Arsenal blitz away two of the most "meh" teams in the land in a seven to eight goal two game frenzy whilst Spurs secure a narrow but crucial one nil win?
I know which one I'd choose. And I'd be devastated if a player I wanted on a double but didn't get because I kept a Kane or an Ali or an Eriksen went ballistic.
(I used Sanchez as an example as general consensus is you can't have him, ozil, lukaku, aguero and harry together - so seems to be a straight choice between Sanchez and Watford/United attacker - or Kane and cheaper almost certain to be rotated Liverpool mid)exactly this
currently the only SGWer i am keeping is Mahrez as the 6.5ish alternatives are all a bit meh
maybe Wiji but even he doesn't fill me with confidencekeeping mahrez - gambling on sanchez and troy over harry and coutinho/barkley
can;t afford Sanchez atm. Troy is an interesting pick and could be a nice swap for Defoe
Currently I have Martial in place but even with Troy I would struggle to fit Sanchez inTroy to Defoe will be my 35 move. Fancy him less for the 37 fixtures so happy to do that. My other one will be Ward for Morgan/Simpson. Which will still give me 9 doubles for 37 plus Mahrez (never benched, ever) and Kun
Martial is a great shout, I'd be tempted if I could afford him but my defence would look like a car crashmy defence is
Cech, Robles
Kos, Rojo, Clyne, Sakho, Janmaat
I am also minded to swap Martial to Defoe in 35 to get 11 out. I may want Martial back, but I can shift Kun in GW37 to either Martial or Costa.
Lukaku, Payet and one other will be my GW35 outfield blankers, it depends on who my 5th mid is but I would like Defoe for GW37, by that point you need players from team with something to fight fornice - like it
not convinced by rojo - but beyond that a good squad
Great presentation u r motivating all to ditch kane & po vahrez
people can do what they want - it's just my thinking
I'm not happy at all with my defence - there just doesn't seem to be any combinations I'm happy with, but I'm delighted with my front seven and haven't changed it in my mind in a fortnight
You're giving Kane a 2 goal upside and implying an 8 goal potential upside for Sanchez, obviously Sanchez is going to look better on the basis of those particular assumptions.
I'm giving Arsenal an 8 goal upside - not alexis himself!
but look at it this way - forget the player... forget ANY player
you have one attacker to choose in these fixtures - do you go
1. sto
2. CPL WBROM
I mean.
Come on.If we're being honest we'll include the gw33 and gw35 fixtures in our consideration, and the actual form of the proposed players
Plus, it isn't exactly against the rules to transfer Kane back into your side in GW35 🙂
It isn't against the rules to have Kane and Sanchez for both weeks, why not make that point?
Because that's not the point I was trying to make. The point is that people are acting as if having no Kane in your wildcard team somehow relegates you to not having him again the rest of the season.
I'll be bringing him back in GW35 when Spurs host West Brom but likely will opt for Lukaku and Kun the week before to take advantage of the double game week.Resigns*
*implying
The thing people need to remember is that DGW players get 4 just for turning up.
Including Palace defenders?
Yes, including Palace defenders.
or... 0, if you concede 2 (and get a yellow).
Thanks, just decided to not get Kane or Sanchez till I read this!
Great post that mate
I can have Sanchez, Lukaku, Aguero and Kane. I think.
For most it's not the question Harry vs Sanchez. It's Harry vs Wickham, Mitrovic et al. And the answer is far more easy. That is quite simply not the question. And I bet you don't have ozil in that team so it's the same thing really
I personally believe the most points potential in 34 lies in double arsenal attack. Nobody knows what might happen, but I think that's the best chance
Therfore I can't afford harryWell, I was wrong - I can't squeeze them all in (perhaps with Ozil I could), just two. But can you force both Sanchez and Ozil in without some drastic compromise? Or you'd pair someone else (Welbeck?) with one of them?
Great post
Is accounting on Chris around?
Pressure has got to Burton now.
Looks like the battle for the league title will go down to the wireBury lost again today
Not good, we are sliding down the leagueKeep the faith. Was a tough match up as it was for you
Anyone think there's a better Chelsea mid to pick vs Villa than Fabregas?
Have a 1 week punt in my wildcard and it looks like him at the moment.Willian?
d'you think he'll outscore fab? I'm not too au fait with how Chelski have been playing recently
I went Traore last week and it backfired, Maybe with Remy being crap he might get the nod this week
i had the same issue. Nearly captained the g!t too..
I'm looking at the comparison tool over last few weeks on Oscar, Willian and Fabregas and getting confused.ill give him 1 more week, it was all I intended so no point quitting now.
my wildcard is active so want to take advantage of the punt.
Think Fab is still looking most favourable
he's on pens, fifty percent of corners and and is a pass machine - good enough for me
between him and willian certainlySet pieces could seal it.
Can see Villa capitulating and conceding 6 or 7
if I was to punt on a mid I would be him
as it stands I will probably punt on Welbz insteadi ran out of arsenal space or would have him! got bellerin, Gabriel and Ozil instead though so happy enough
Think my wildcard will be
Elliott Robles
Bellerin Koscielny ward Sakho Dawson
Ozil payet mahrez coutinho Lennon
Aguero Kane lukaku
With plans to swap
Koscielny, ward, ozil and Kane to azpi, pva, firminho and Costa for gw37
4dgw for gw33
13dgw for g34
10dgw for gw37Why Coutinho to Firmino? Necessary move to facilitate the other transfers?
how would it be with firm being more expensive?
A good point very well made. Just seems a sideways move, waste of a transfer.
Just concerns over firminho with Sturridge. I could put firminho in
see above for my no kane "presentation"
other than that I like this
don't like lennon personally and no united defence for those two home games seems like an oversight
I'd rather have smalling and mculley/evans over koscielny and dawsonMUN defender for Dawson
What do you think of this All out DGW-plan?
WC 32:
Mignolet Robles
Smalling Bellerin Rojo Sakho Janmaat
Sanchez Ozil Payet Bolasie Silva
Lukaku Martial Mitrovic
GW33: Save (3 DGW and TC Lukaku)
GW34: Bolasie -> Milner (15 DGW)
GW35: Martial/Rojo -> Defoe/Ivanovic (11 players)
GW36: Save
GW37: Silva/ Mitrovic -> Antonio/ Costa (10 DGW players + Sanchez)No aguero and covered by Silva ? Better go you're if u really want to.
Double Pool defenders are worry.
Else look good. Not for covering, just that he has a DGW34 and GW35.
Idealy it should been Wji & Kun instead of Silva & Mitro, but that is too expansive for me.Toure stupid auto correct
Balls to all this wildcard stuff.
a) Old sofa to big new sofa
b) Old sofa to quite big new sofa + armchair (-4)
1 ft, not that much itb.
Any help much appreciated. How many live in your house?
2 big + 3 little.
Feel all old men should have an armchair, so wondering what the age cut off is.
Don't want to have to buy new furniture if I suddenly hit the age barrier without warning.
B
definitely b
first post I've wanted to comment on for ages
Is good idea pick Lennon over Antonio/Lanzini? This would be only short term punt GW 33&34.
Anyway one of these I need to sell GW35.right now I man thinking Antonio but Lennon may work
worried about rotation thoughYes I'm also worried rotation. Is one extra game worth not sure yet.
I dont really follow championship football.
Anyone from Burnley, Brighton, Boro etc that you think good be good options next season?Boro defence will be solid if they come in at 4.5
Also Burnley defence will be solid.
Nah I'm not a fan of theirs, the PL have seen that squad before and they're a typical yoyo side. Middlesbrough play really grindy football like Watford. It won't be exciting but it'll do a job.
If we (Cardiff) come up in the playoffs Marshall for save points, Pilkinton and Immers for OOP.
Is it madness to go without any Spurs players from GW33??
We've got hard fixtures, but I can't contemplate selling Kane at the minute. I will prob sell Toby and maybe Alli.
May be and it's DGW madness
Not really. Though I would probably use the ft(s) gw35 getting 1 or 2....
It's risky go without any Spurs players.
I defo keep Kane.not if everyone else on here is going that route. I haven't done any dgw research yet but I know where to go when I WC next week.
I'm not going with any Liverpool defensive options for DGWs, what are your thoughts?
Their defence is average and their DGW fixtures aren't particularly tantalising from a defensive point of view. I'll have de Gea, Bello, Cresswell and will look at others. Are Liverpool's defensive options really worth it?They do have a good gw35 fixture which is why I am considering 1.
Have someone put together a post containing all friendlies and wc qualifiers with players in the premiership?
Not sure, most of that is over. Should be an article out about it.
Yeah if I remember correctly there used to be a bloke doing a post both before and after internationals....
I'm just lazy and thought I'd check. Thx.Normally a poster would but their WC RMTs took over.
For GW34 - thoughts?
DDG - Elliot
Kos - Bellerin - Coleman - Olsson - Clyne
Sanchez - Firmino - Coutinho - Payet - Lanzini
Aguero - Lukaku - Perez
Clyne/Perez vs Moreno/Mitro is a decision atm (unfortunately my best options, aside from Berahino, for have full GW35 + GW37)Kane or Sanchez on WC? Will have Ozil as well
Sanchez
Is there any rotation risk for Koscielny?
Just injury risk
This.
Do we know for sure the Liverpool back line? Thinking Skertl will be nailed right? Instead of Lovren?
Not sure but I think Sakho is most nailed.
That would be good, since it saves a few pennies.
Skrtel should be nailed to the transfer market. Gone in summer and hopefully wont play for us again.
Oh really. I didn't know that, so does that mean we shouldn't expect ham to play?
In order of safety:
Mignolet (100%)
Clyne/ Sakho (80%)
Lovren/ Skrtel (60/40%)
Flanagan/ Moreno (50/50%)Nice, thanks for this. Very helpful
Mangala nailed on while kompany is out?
Or is clichy a better signing?Without Kompany no City defender is worth it imo
Mangala until kompany back again.
It's a calculated gamble getting rid of Kane
Though keeping Kane is the logical choice given his form, I simply can't afford to hold onto him without the rest of the team looking gash. This is where VORP comes back into play and makes the game a bit more open and diverse.
I'm going with Deeney as he has nice fixtures and decent form, and with the 5.0m I'm saving I can get the defenders I want, double up on Arsenal with Ozil/ Sanchez and get a balanced team in all areas that sets up nicely for GW35 and onward.
By losing Kane, you can argue that you lose a great (C) option, but I'm not sure I would (C) Kane against any of liv, MUN, sto, che; teams that are capable of keeping it tight or marking Kane out of the game, not to mention trying to secure their own season targets such as Europe. WBA and SOT have kept 9 and 11 clean sheets respectively this season, so it's hard to know what sides might turn up there, then Newcastle might be in for a relegation battle in GW38 so again who knows what would happen.
There's a good case for both keeping him and ditching him, but unless I had another 5.0m I don't see much point personallyHaving the same dilemma. Guess it's what you do with the Kane cash that makes it worth it or not
The (C) does it for me, makes it safer to get rid
THE MONKEY HAS SPOKEN!
(also, the carp)
🙂You'er making a good case for ditching him . but hard to look past having him for GW35. And it's not like there's a lot of alternatives in red hot form. and re Deeny- Watford only scored 3 in last 7 , and all their DGW matches are away, and not the easiest
Who are you guys getting in for Butland?
Luckily I don't have him.
You?Thinking Cech if he's available. Mignolet and Robles do not fill me with confidence.
DDG!
de Gea, nice DGW fixtures
Robles, but not til next week. Unless Butland is close to falling 0.2 by deadline, in which case I'll do it now
Robles Elliot
Bellerin, Gabriel, Delaney, Sakho, Mangala
Firmino, Sanchez, Payet, Lennon, Mahrez
lukaku, aguero, lukaku
Thoughts?
Mahrez To Milner for gw34Having Lukaku twice is cheating
I've seen ppl stating Studge will start next game for England!
Is the whole team leaked? And if so pls post it!The Times posted it if you're a member
No.
Hodgson has said he will start and Milner will captain.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35862185Thx.
Woy didn't give team but sayed Studge would start & Milner would be captain. Drinkwater would get debut but didn't say if he would start.
might be more but I heard that in interview.Ok, thx.
If Sturridge gets injured the Liverpool fans will be upset
And Delaney to Rojo gw34 too
Am shifting Toby (Liv) and Silva (Bou) to
Ivanovic and Willian (Avl)
Yaaaaaaayyy
Or
NaaaayyyyyyyySilva and Willian could score similarly on their day, but yes to the Toby move anyway
Cannae afford one without tother
If you're planning to WC soon then yeah you might as well go for it
Villa are Villa
Yay
If Kun gets a haul away to Bournemouth, will you be tempted to (C) him in the DGW34 (che/ new)
Would really be nice to see a bit of way form from City this weekend to spice things upYes I would
Potentially. Probably vice though.
Possibly, yes. If I see a nice consistent performance throughout the match.
Yea on the other hand if there still struggling do you what him or any city in your team at all for the double
Hmm I'm a bit iffy as he has Bolivia in Argentina the 30th
So then
Simpson Sanchez
or
Bellerin MahrezB
Toughie that one but....
B
Seriously don't get the wc teams with only 10 11 12 dgws , surely having 15dgwers with the bench boost outweighs the gw 35 problem of getting out a full 11. I know what I'm doing, live a little.
Depends on the quality. Not just getting 15. No point in a crap player playing twice.
That's the thing with wc's, you just try not to put anyone crap in 😉
If you're not getting 11 out in gw35 you're robbing Peter to pay PUl.
*Paul
Look like a GW 38 countback might be on the cards Balders comparing Gws 33 -37 scores from those that WC'd in different weeks.
Get folk to agree now as the fails will disappear.
I'm in. 🙂Remind me at the end of the season and I'll run a data scrape of what the top 500 from the FFS HoF did and how it panned out.
Will do, but from my holiday weekend of GW38, will be a lot of water under bridge but I'll try to give you a nudge.
but from = back from.
With the WC arguments rolling on, I have just one question, you can have ONLY one of these from now until the end of the season, who is it
A, Özil
B SanchezSanchez
Probably Sanchez (although I have Ozil)
Ozil
You get both.
Hey lads
WC
Henn Robles
Bellerin Rojo Clyne Clichy Olsson
Coutinho Barkley Sanchez Mahrez Payet
Aguero Martial Lukaku
0.1 ITB thoughts ???2ft,
Vardy --> Lukaku this week, have the exact fundsI would do it next week if you can
Reckon Vardy could do well this week. Depends what you plan with your other ft.
