    THIS IS SO EXCITING!

So many people are taking risks last week and this week... Even those NOT on WC are taking risks by not going with the template WC..

LOTS of us are going to be overtaken, purely due to the variance of teams.

It could be glorious, or disastrous 😀

This is so typical at the end of each season. Wish I just went for a pretty standard setup keeping the likes of Kane, Mahrez and Leicester-defender, but of course I am going for people like Lanzini, Martial etc. that I would never have touched otherwise.

This is probably going to end in misery... 🙁

Not to rain on your parade but a club with the rangers name would be more accurate.

Can't get liquidated, sell assets to a new company who then apply for a football license and get introduced to a league as a new club would have to be i.e. in the bottom tier and then claim to be the same club.

Good luck next season Scottish football needs strong teams

FIFA and UEFA would also disagree

"The decision, very clearly from the commission, was that the club is the same, the club continues, albeit it is owned by a new company, but the club is the same.

        "It's the same club, absolutely.

"The member club is the entity that participates in our league and we have 42 member clubs."

Not going to get into a debate but that is preposterous.

If it was the same club why did they have to apply for a new license? You can't get liquidated and walk away from your debts and responsibilities and still hope to call yourself the same club. It is like saying debts are the companies but the trophies are the clubs?

The players were able to walk away from the club for free too as the club that held their registration (not company) were disbanded and a new football license applied for.

I know why you want it to be the same club but just because I want to wake up beside scarlett johansen every morning doesn't mean I can.

Good to have an ibrox team back in top flight though and best of luck to ye.

Ps rangers were not relegated, they were disbanded and had to apply for a license to play football which meant they could only start at the bottom tier.

There was even a chance that summer that a license would not be granted dye to fears of litigation from non league clubs who should have been first in line for any new position that became vacant in the league structure.
Thankfully the ibrox club was given a license as long term it is better for Scottish football imo as this new club with facilities in place have a much better chance of making top flight football more competitive.

The club were moved out of the holding PLC prior to the PLC being placed in liquidation. At no point did Rangers Football Club cease to be.

None of the above matters. If it was the same club why did it have to apply for a new football license and admittance to the league?

The club ran up those debts buying players and paying them without paying tax not some secret non connected business. To have the nerve to try and argue that the club is separate and should not be liable for the debts is just rediculous. If they wanted to be the same club then administration and working out an agreement whereby the club paid it's debts was the only way to do so.

If clubs can just liquidate and take 3 or 4 years of pain then why bother trying to pay back debts when they get so big? Why bother paying taxes?

Football just can't work and will not be able to get credit facilities if it is accepted that the loan is to a company who can be separated from the club while the club moves on under a different company.

You might not like it but it happens everyday in life. The SFA, SPFL, FIFA, UEFA, ECA, ASA, high court judges etc recognise Rangers as the same club, just because fans of Celtic, Aberdeen etc don't want them to be doesn't make it so.

See this is where you are wrong. The others just take their lead from the sfa who besides being corrupt themselves have a vested interest in trying to promote a same club narrative as they want to be able to sell and "old firm" derby to TV companies and advertisers. The sfa tried everything in their powers to prevent the tragedy of rangers dying and a new ibrox club having to apply for a new license and build from the bottom tier. But sporting integrity demailed by the Scottish fans meant that they couldn't in the end.

The nimo Smith thing is a load of balls too as he his verdicts were proven wrong by the supreme Court re tax evasion and if he was wrong in a simple matter of law what makes you think he was right regarding an area he has no expertise in like football administration?

Sorry for the tragedy that was brought on your club by Mr. Murray and King (who was on the board when all this mess started) but it cannot be reversed, rewritten forgotten or otherwise made to never exist so that rangers can be the same club (minus the huge debt the wracked up chasing football trophies).

The SFA and high court lord's are wrong, Dino is right....Now you couldn't sound more bitter if you tried! Why did Rangers pay back all football debt to the SFA and other clubs when they went into the 3rd division...if they were some new club?

Why does everything with ye Scots have to come down to bitterness and personal attacks?

I'm far from bitter as I am pretty ambivalent about the whole thing. My understanding is they didn't pay back all football debts and this why they went under?

As I say I couldn't really care less about the new rangers but any club going out of business and restarting (applying for a new football license) claiming the same history and reneging on their debts which put businesses to the wall I do take issue with. As a business owner I know what it's like to not get paid by a company for work done and let me tell you it is not nice.

No doubt lots of innocent people lost out and a lot of these face-painters etc are still Rangers fans.

The SFA transferred Rangers full membership over, they didn't apply for a new one. One of the conditions was that they they paid debt to other football clubs which they did. They had to accept a 12-month embargo from signing players and £160,000 fine. A new club wouldn't do have to do any of this so your argument doesn't stand in any way no matter how many times you reply with "My understanding is" or "AFAIK".

You can keep replying if you wish going round in circles, i won't be.

While it is awful that some business lost out in a significant amount of money (relative) Rangers are still the same club. Ninja has put forward the arguement perfectly - If UEFA, FIFA, SFA recognise them as the same club then they are still the same club.

Not sure on the money but I would prefer Martial to Mitrovic
maybe Bellerin > Monreal (sideways move)
      Jags > someone else

        good thoughts. I could do:
        Bellerin -> Monreal
        Jags -> Simpson
        Mitrovic -> Martial

        0.0 itb

Which would give me 11 for GW 35 as well.

        so which one?
        a) Bellerin Jags Mitrovic
        b) Monreal Simpson Martial

    Think I'm g2g?

    Robles | Darlow
    Bellerin | Simpson | Moreno | Gabriel | Rojo
    Sanchez | Payet | KDB | Coutinho | Lanzini
    Sturridge | Aguero | Lukaku

Rojo is a concern but apart form that you have a really strong team and several playing in GW35. I'm jealous.

He's a concern for me as well, I can't afford any other United defender, so I'd rather take the risk instead of going without. Cheers!

I like the sturridge punt at the expense of more certainty at the back (Rojo)

Start at least 2 I imagine. I think people are forgetting that Man Utd (and West Ham for that matter) have an FA Cup QF a couple of days before the DGW. Could affect minutes.

Cresswell have blank and conceded goal in his last 3 games. But Tomkins and Collins are fit to play next GW.
Should I keep Cresswell or sell him for ?
    A. Gabriel (I have Bellerin)
    B. Darmain

If by having 2 Arsenal defenders you are sacrificing having 2 Arsenal mids then I wouldn't do it however if you are ok with that then I'd get Gabriel or even Monreal if you can afford him. Darmian is not nailed

  20. Eze Really?

Not often do I think a defender is worth a hit unless a DGW replacing an injured player. However, De Gea who does not play GW35 is by far the best Man U cover for the price. Therefore, I will carry him with Darlow playing GW35. Migs is the obvious choice but I want a pool defender, Coutinho and the Studge GW34.
    Make any sense?

can I have a judge / suggestion on this WC team?
Unfortunately my TV is relatively low, so this is what I can afford:

    DDG - Robles
    ____ - Gabriel - Sakho - Simpson - ____
    Sanchez - Coutinho - Payet - Mahrez - ____
    Aguero - Lukaku - Kane

    which combo for missing spots:

    A. Bellerin + Ward + Lingard
    B. Koscielny + Reid + Lingard
    C. Koscielny + Ward + Lanzini

    ?

I'm hoping so! I have him in because Kompany won't be back for a while, and they have strong 33/35 fixtures (obviously I'm hoping he plays in 35!!!)

Who's more likely to play all of 33-35 between Clichy and Mangala? Want city cover at the back - Clichy seems to have nailed LB again and Mangala will play as long as Vinny is out.

Those with Mitrovic: Are you going to play him this week? I'm leaning towards benching for Lanzini.

      Plan on playing him yes.

Mainly as don't want Payet AND Lanzini against Arsenal

Latest offering and feel like it's got a lot of potential. Thoughts?

    DDG - Darlow
    Smalling - Sakho - Gabriel - Delaney - Morgan
    Sanchez - Ozil - Coutinho - Payet - Lanzini
    Aguero - Lukaku - Mitrovic

Really happy with the double ups on United defence and Arsenal attack. Will probably start with Barkley and do Barkley > Ozil in 34.

What a DGW WC does to your team - For GW33 I'm benching:

    Cech - Martial - Bellerin - Smalling 😎

    Playing:

    Robles - Alli - Sakho - Delaney instead 😮

Only getting Smalling in for 34. Punting on Coleman in 33 (will play ahead of Bellerin)

Everyone bar Ota/Hart is a risk.
Clichy is much better than Mangala, but so is his alternative player (Kola over Dem)

Sorry Sjaugen! Cheers for replying, got busy.

Do you reckon I should just get Otamendi in, then? Would mean putting Darlow in for Migs and having no Liverpool players lol
