Just back from the stoke game, we were totally outclassed. Sorry we let all FPL fans down by letting Alli, eriksen and Kane run riot. Wasn't even bitter sweet cos they aren't in my team either.

Looking at Lukaku and Payet > Alli and Kane for a -4 this week.

We will win it...for the very reason you say. Our expectations are quite low compared to our over inflated beliefs of yesteryear...and we actually have a very tidy looking squad.

One fly in the ointment is Rooney....Hodgson needs to have a Gazza or Greaves moment and push him aside...

    http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2016/04/18/treatment-table-gameweek-34/?hc_page=1#hc_comment_13180152

Here is the updated 33/34 Dream Team, with Spurs added:
    Gomes 23
    Alderweireld 21 Ward 20 Funes Mori 18
    Townsend 22 Alli 22 Lamela 19 Sanchez 16
    Aguero 26 Carroll 23 Sturridge 18

Eriksen at 16 and Kane Vardy at 15 just miss out. Next three nights will be quite a referendum on the chips.

My mini league lead got cut from 28points to 4 points thanks to Spurs.

    The redemption I hope.

I still have 15 to play, both my rivals only have 6.

      1. Dr Dream

He's fantastic. Every now and again a player comes along who looks and plays "bigger2 than everybody else on the pitch. Yaya did it a couple of years ago and now Kane is wearing that crown. I really think, given his age, that he's gonna end up with a goals tally to match the very best.

          • 12 Years
          9 years, 9 months ago

Jay got a bet on the other day at 100/1 for Kane to beat Shearer's tally. I certainly think the odds should be shorter than that! Maybe 33/1

              • 10 Years
              9 years, 9 months ago

Good point. As he showed with Bale and Modric, there is no way Levy will sell to another English club. That's if Kane ends up leaving at any point

              • 12 Years
              9 years, 9 months ago

I think he stays for his career. With the current squad Spurs should be playing CL football for years to come so there shouldn't be much incentive to leave really. And I don't see Real/Barca fawning over him the same way the did over Ronaldo, Bale and Cesc. Maybe the nouveau riche Chinese give him an offer he can't refuse when he's 32 but I dunno.

Obviously I couldn't put the bet on myself as it'd be 10-15 years of mixed emotions watching yous do well, but I really really rate the lad.

                  He's one of our own,
                  He's one of our own,

Well not many players this day and age spend their entire careers at one club so would have to say that's very unlikely but certainly now and for the foreseeable future i can't imagine him leaving Spurs and don't see why he would either and above all hope he stays..

                  9 years, 9 months ago

English lads are a lot more likely to stay in England though, even if they move around clubs.

We've had what? Keegan, Hoddle, Platt, Lineker, McManaman, Hargreaves, Beckham, Owen, Woodgate and Barton go in the last 30 years?

All that tells me is that most of the ones deemed good enough for the likes of Barca and Real in particular very rarely turn them down.. apart from the sheer size of clubs and testing yourself in another league its the lifestyle and weather that has got to appeal massively to anyone with the chance.. Kane will be Ballon D'or material in a few years time if he continues to keep going the way he is and improving year on year.. those teams will come knocking

I get where you're coming from but for every one of those you've got a fair few Wrights, Shearers, Sherringhams, Scholeses, Gerrards, Lampards and Rooneys. It's just personally I can't see him going.

Long way to go but he has more to his game that Shearer did so the potential is there to be even better

      1. Pochecinno

Definitely has more to his game.... But that's probably more to do with the era Kane is playing in. Shearer played in the generation of 442... All that was asked of him was to put the ball away

No one did that better than Shearer that's for sure but he didn't have the vision or a first touch like Kane..

I just always expect him to score as soon as he has the ball at the 18 or closer. Not many like that in the league.

he gets that one cutting inside on right peg a lot and defenders should be getting wise to that and show him the other side

Looks like just over 10 players on average left for the gameweek in the top 10k, with Aguero Payet Sanchez Bellerin Ozil the most heavily owned.

Is it worth keeping Martial for GW35 when United don't play if it means fielding 10? I would like him for DGW37 and will get Defoe in for Mitro after GW35.

    Have exact cash to do

    Lukaku - Kane
Coutinho - Firmino (required to make 0.1 for first transfer)

    Do i do it tonight?
Haven't been about so yet to check price changes etc..

    Hi all..
    Need some advice here.
A bit stupidly just 9 players for next GW..

Alli in is a given I think?
Who should I replace tho and any other move you would make for a hit with GW37 in mind too.
    Thanks a lot.

    Mignolet
    Sakho, Bellerin, Simpson
    Sanchez, Coutinho, Iwobi
    Kane, Aguero

    Robles, Martial, Payet, Reid, Lanzini

      Alli for Coutinho/Lanzini

      Defoe/Sturridge for Martial

I think i'm gonna go for Defoe.

So the consensus after this GW is to go for players currently in the top 4, bottom 3 (other than Villa), and ignore the clown teams in the middle?

    Now:
    Smalling+Lanzini+Martial -> Kaboul+Alli+Kane-8 (need to lose 3 to field 11)
    Before GW37 2ft:
    Bellerín+Mitrovic ->Ivan/Smalling+Defoe
Kane,Kun, Sanchez Alli SGW players. Probably 8 DGW players. Sound plan?
