Liverpool’s Divock Origi is set to miss the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama have been passed fit for Southampton’s trip to Villa, Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s visit to City, whilst Chris Smalling has overcome a knock in time for United’s FA Cup semi-final with Everton.

Reports in the local press suggest the Divock Origi is ruled out for the season with the ankle injury sustained against Everton in midweek. The Liverpool striker will undergo further scans today to ascertain the likely length of absence.

Eddie Howe has confirmed that Harry Arter and Adam Smith will remain sidelined for the visit of Chelsea. The Bournemouth boss also indicated he will continue to ease Callum Wilson back into action after the striker was afforded a couple of sub appearances following his return from injury.

Jose Fonte and Victor Wanyama are available for Southampton’s trip to Villa after recovering from the knocks that forced both off in last week’s draw at Everton. Ronald Koeman has also confirmed that Charlie Austin remains unavailable though is close to returning from a knee problem.

Chris Smalling has shrugged off a knock picked up against Palace on Wednesday night and is available for United’s FA Cup semi-final against Everton. Adnan Januzaj remains unavailable due to a lack of match fitness.

Xherdan Shaqiri is ruled out of Stoke’s trip to the Etihad with the hamstring injury that forced him off during Monday’s loss at Spurs. Mark Hughes has revealed that Shay Given is likely to keep his place in goal, though Marc Wilson, Glen Johnson and Jon Walters are still sidelined.

Ramiro Funes Mori serves the first of a three-match ban for Everton’s FA Cup semi-final encounter against Man United. Earlier this morning, Roberto Martinez also confirmed that Gareth Barry, Phil Jagielka and John Stones are set for late assessments, though Seamus Coleman has failed to recover from a hamstring complaint.

Kieran Gibbs is a doubt for Arsenal’s trip to Sunderland after missing last night’s win over West Brom with a minor back problem.

Scenes! Rose up 80k this week 😀
Now to continue for chasing 7 points.

    Robles* Mignolet
    Simpson Bellerin Smalling* Gabriel Moreno
    Payet* Lanzini* Couts Nasri Sanchez
    Mitrovic Lukaku* Kun

    What to do?
Only thing I can think of: Couts + Lanzini -> Townsend + Firmino for -4

      Get rid of Lukaku imo.

I'd do Lukaku to Pelle this week. You need a Saints attacker this GW.

Before GW32 I started a FFS league to determine how best to utilise the chips we had available to us. 287 keen FFSrs joined this league and I will be providing weekly update on the top of the table.

Analysis of the top 10 after GW34 is as follows -

    - Everyone used one chip in GW34
    - 8 people used their bench boost chip
    - 2 people triple captained Sanchez
    - 4 of the top 10 have now used all of their chips
    - Akloppalypse was the highest scoring player in the top 10 with an impressive 183 points!
    - Our new leader is a team aptly named Dream Team. Only 6 points behind is last week’s leader - Enter Shaqiri. With his bench boost still in his pocket Enter Shaqiri will be feeling quietly confident he can regain top spot over the coming weeks.

Overall analysis of the top 50

    - Average points 172.44
    - 88% captained Sanchez
    - 12% captained Aguero
    - 38% transferred out Yannick Bolasies 10 points
    - 24% transferred in Martial for his 3 points.
    - Dann Tchoyi Juanmi was the only player in the top 50 not to use a chip in GW34. Despite this he managed a very respectable score of 157 and is currently sitting in 11th place !

Most of us in the league will now be taking hits to get back our Spurs assets and actually field a decent team for GW35 so keep an eye out for next weeks update

The Arsenal forum is a better place to look for that answer than here IMO. Many people on here were suggesting Monreal would get rotated this week a few weeks ago when people were figuring out their WC teams, the Arsenal forum didn't even mention Gibbs in the run up to yesterday.

      Ditch them both imo.

At this point of the season now I really don't think that keeping either of them is going to serve you any good.

Sometimes you're better off taking a hit now and moving on then sticking with players who aren't going to be effective.

    Darlow (De Gea*)
    Bellerin, Sakho, Gabriel, Simpson (Smalling*)
    Mahrez, Coutinho, Sanchez (Payet*, Lanzini*)
    Aguero, Lukaku*, Martial*

    1FT, 0.1 ITB

Top 1k, now probably have to take a -8 hit.

Made it up to 12k this week and I'm chasing an 11 point gap in a mini league.

    Mignolet - Robles
    Smalling - Bellerin - Lovren - Simpson - Walker
    Sanchez - Payet - Coutinho - Iwobi - Lanzini
    Aguero - Martial - Lukaku
    0.2 ITB

Definitely going to drop Martial and Lukaku for a hit as they're just deadweight, I assume Kane is essential? Looking to get him and Defoe although I'm not sure if I fancy Defoe against Arsenal. Bit worried about my Liverpool players too - worth taking Coutinho out for another hit? Was thinking just Alli but I'd have 9.3m to play with.

Welcome some wider thoughts, posted this morning...

    Darlow
    Sakho, Lovren, Gabriel, Bellerin
    Sanzhez, Couthino, KDB
    Aguero, Kane, Defo

No Subs. Robles, Lanzini, Payet, Soaure.

    The above is for -4pts

    Should I take a -8pts?
    Lots of risks?

    Lanzini ➡ Alli?
    Or another...?

With Coutinho in there, I think you'll need a sub. Soaure to Kirchoff will pay off over the course of the season. Or Coutinho to RLC.

No more hits imo.. Go with what you have.. Lots of risks but a lottery which of them will/won't play, just as much chance you'll get it wrong..

If anything and at a push I'd do Lanzini -> Alli and play him over Gabriel

I think I'm leaning towards Lanzini > Alli now ... and play him over Gabriel.

if you were to drop 8 I think Coutinho should make way

did you do Kaku and Martial to Kane and Defoe?

        I did. Last night.

I would like to keep Couthino and ramp up bench - when he plays I'll be happy 😉

I'd guess that at least one of Lovren/Sakho wont play so the Alli move could well be worth it.

Nice OR by the way. I checked to see how far I was away from the top 1k and saw your name there at 999!

I'll be out of there after my multiple hits this weekend (and rotation about to hit me) 😥

Think hits are what will keep you in it. Coutinho won't start, Milner/Firmino who are much more likely to be utilised often in the League will get 10+ 🙂

Think there will be enough people taking hits this week for it not to matter too much.

So you're hesitant to get rid of Coutinho?
He wasn't subbed off vs Everton tho, while Firmino was.

Lanzini to Alli looks good. But I'm a Spurs fan so may be biased. Sahko and lovren might be iffy. I can see Newcastle scoring.

I think im on that path to. Basically dont trust some players pitchtime so I might go Martial, Mitro & Lanzini -> Kane, Alli and Rashford (Funding reason and DGW)

That's tricky, but Alexis is on red hot form

If it wasn't for a hit then I would say yes. Can't you get both for a hit this week?

He was creative enough yesterday to warrant holding.
But if Giroud plays, it's gonna hurt Ozil's FPL points.
I think Welbs is back in the weekend, with assists for Ozil

I'm still scarred from selling Ozil when Sanchez got back from injury.
Tossing -4 into the mix makes it tough to justify

  25. HamezMace
    • 11 Years
    9 years, 9 months ago

    Is it sensible to take a -4 this week with this team;

    Darlow
    Bellerin - Gabriel - Simpson - Sakho
    Alli - Sanchez - KdB
    Kane - Mitrovic

    (DDG, Payet, Martial, Jagielka)

I have one FT which will be Bolasie to someone up to 8.7m.

Is it worth taking a -4 to change Jagielka to someone nailed on to play, I am concerned with Gabriel, Sakho, and KdB actually playing.

      Keep Jags for 37
Sell Bolasie and Martial for Defoe and someone else

Not worth keeping Martial for the Utd double?

Suspension of the No Man Utd Attackers rule due to DGW/presumed nailed/plum fixtures.
He would have had to do something epic to allow me to float him over 35

  26. Sjaugen

    a/ risk Coutinho starting to field 11 -> Martial/Lukaku/LANZINI ➡ Kane/Defoe/Alli
    b/ let go of Lanzini in spite of DGW37 -> Martial/Lukaku/COUTINHO ➡ Kane/Defoe/Alli

    Darlow
    Belle/Simpson/Gabriel/Sakho (Smalling)
    Sanchez/KDB/Coutinho (Payet Lanzini)
    Aguero (Lukaku Martial)
    1FT

Can't see the same pool-rotation his weekend as vs bou, game is thursday? And players very recently had a game rest.
