Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

🙁 I've surrendered a 78 point lead to now only have a 36 point lead. I've also taken a -4 this week so really it's only 32 points. How the hell did Sunderland score 6 and Defoe only get one of them!!

Need some reassurance this is my team:
    Mignolet (Robles)
    Clyne, Smalling, Koscielny (Simpson, Martin)
Sanchez (C) Ramsey, Mahrez, Hazard (Payet)
    Kane, Long, Carroll

    His team:
    Mignolet (Hennessey)
    PvA, Monreal, Simpson (Cresswell, Targett)
    Hazard, Payet, Mahrez, Sanchez (Coutinho)
    Kun, Kane, Carroll

I'm thinking to bench Carroll but I also think I want to play as many of the same players that i think he will play.

I'd play it safe and block the hell out of him mate.

I know it seems silly but bench Ramsey for Payet and get Kun in for a hit or 2. If you put out the same 11, 20 or so points ahead, any transfer he makes won't close the gap

      1. Cradders

Even though Ramsey is the transfer I made for a hit?? We currently have 6 equal players because I doubt he'll play Hennessey (sou) and I don't think Coutinho will play. And on top of that Long was my other transfer as well.

Lol! Well, then no. I guess you had a plan, best stick to it.

Wouldn't have made those moves in the same situation, but you could very well end up scoring better with those 2. 32 points is enough of a gap really.

Carroll to Kun maybe worth it still, as he's your biggest threat. (Sanchez blank and Kun captain hatty for him - imagine!)

Yeah I am wondering that. Plus Carroll is such a god damn donkey. I'm a mess from that double I think with TC I came out with negative points. I knew he'd captain Payet for TC this week but blocking moves is no fun and with that 78 point lead I thought there was no way he'd catch up 40+ points.

I will consider Carroll to Kun though as he is also chasing golden boot.

Just had probably my best FPL week ever (GW rank 597) into the top 30k.

My aim was to get into the top 50k, any hits needed on this team?

Coutinho to Tadic would leave me with 1.8m ITB. Anything worth a hit ?

    Darlow

    Any help greatly appreciated guys!

    Robles / Darlow
    Gabriel / Bellerin / PvA / Janmaat / Cresswell
    Payet / Milner / Townsend / Hazard / Mahrez
    Kun / Kane / Carroll

Ideally want 3x Arsenal vs Whipping Boys FC.

    A) Cresswell + Mahrez + Milner >>> Targett* + Drinkwater + Sanchez (-8)
    B) Mahrez + Hazard >> Tadic + Sanchez (-4)
    C) Carroll + Mahrez >> Giroud + Drinkwater (-4)

PVA i'll keep and maybe play..

Yep, those are the two I'd be looking at.

Vardy might try to put the icing on the cake with the golden boot.. but he has a tough fixture to do so in, even though Chelsea haven't been totally solid, they're not conceding 3 or 4 either..

Yep, Long or Martial it is. I suppose they are both 100% nailed on but for GW38 is there even a slim chance that either of these two could start on the bench?

Not sure, sorry Ryan, I'd imagine both are extremely likely starters, especially with them both playing for points still.. They'd be in the first XI of their respective teams but both have slight competition.

Would you rather Vardy or Aguero this week?

Swansea seem to be solid at home, Vardy gunning for golden boot?

Kun imo, although Vardy is the one Leicester player I'd want to play.

I'd back Vardy. City aren't exactly clicking at the moment, they should win but it won't be a big victory.

Kun - need to seal this Champions League place and avoid having Pep wielding the axe in the coming months.

Swansea will be without Fabianski who saved their asses last time out. Also will be without Williams and Siggy.
I fancy a brace from Kun and a goal from KdB.

    Repost guys..

Leading by 11 points in the ML league which I really want to win. I think I must have Kun even for a hit. Or should I get Giroud for free? 1 FT.

    (1) Hazard + Carroll to Tadic + Kun
    (2) Carroll to Giroud
    (3) Hazard + Defoe to 5.6 or less player like Iwobi + Kun
    (4) Coutinho + Kane to 7.8 or less player like Mane + Kun

    Which one should I do?

Anyone here captaining Kun instead of poll leader Sanchez? Chasing 22 points lead and expect my rival to captain Alexis so my only hope is Aguero to repeat his 5 goal haul against Newcastle.

The last dilemma of the season. I have 3 from WHU: Payet, Lanzini, Carroll.

    A) Lanzini -> Tadic and play Firmino
    B) Firmino -> Tadic and play Lanzini
    C) Either -> Tadic and play Carroll

    Thanks in advance!

    Firmino to Tadic

Mignolet has a better chance of playing than Bobby.

Thanks! It's just that I want DdG in goal, given that I don't have any United cover in defence and I don't have the funds for Mignolet to DdG unless I unload Firmino aswell.

    1. Slartibartfast

Biggest factor is how many of the same players you have.

But 50pts should see you safe regardless. Much fewer than that if you have a lot of players in common.

    2. foley_fd
      • 10 Years
      9 years, 6 months ago

I think it's rare to see more than a 30 point swing in one weekend.

If captain is the same, then less than that probably.

Interesting, but I think to do well you need some luck - none more so than not suffering crippling injuries.

If that's the case then the wildcard isn't always needed, although I'm surprised he hasn't used it for the DGW.

      Lesson for us all maybe?

      Wrong.

Doesn't have a spare WC. He wasted it not realizing it was only valid till December.

Maybe he knows better though, he is no.1 after all. 😀

Aguero has only scored two goals in seven games against Swansea, both of which were scored in the first of those clashes. Aguero has now gone six matches without a goal against the Welsh club and has never scored at the Liberty Stadium in three times of trying.
