Thereโ€™s just over 24 hours left until the Euro 2016 quarter-finals get underway, with DraftKings managers afforded a pair of fixtures over Thursday and Friday to assemble their eight-man squads from.

As we revealed yesterday, if youโ€™ve yet to register, DraftKings are offering the opportunity of free entry to an upcoming contest for the quarter-finals over Thursday and Fridayโ€™s matches.

Providing you sign up via this link before 4pm on Thursday, your account will be credited with $3 by 6pm that day. Players should then use the credit amount to enter the “EUROS $13k Striker” contest on Thursday.

The first match of the quarter-finals sees Poland and Portugal go head-to-head for a place in the last four at 8pm tomorrow evening.

Both sides required extra-time to advance past the Round of 16, with Poland defeating Switzerland on spot-kicks, whilst the Portuguese progressed thanks to Ricardo Quaresmaโ€™s late winner over Croatia.

Fernando Santosโ€™ side are the slight favourites for this one. Portugal sit fourth for attempts on goal over the tournament so far and have fired almost double the number of shots on target (23 to 12) than their opponents. At the back, itโ€™s a similar story, with Poland conceding 33 efforts inside the penalty box to Portugalโ€™s 20.

Wales take on Belgium in Friday eveningโ€™s 8pm encounter.

Marc Wilmotsโ€™ men are heavily favoured to advance to the semi-finals after sweeping aside Hungary 4-0 in the previous round. Certainly, the underlying stats underline the Red Devilsโ€™ attacking potential – they have registered more goals and shots on target than any side so far.

Wales, however, are second only to their opponents for goals (seven to eight) and, after squeezing past Northern Ireland, boast the highest shot accuracy (51.1%) in the tournament. In defence, Chris Colemanโ€™s side have conceded less attempts inside the box that the Belgians and have the form to make a mockery of their underdog tag.

Fortunately, DraftKings allows us to scan the teamsheets before each fixture, adjusting your line-ups in search of some last-minute bargains.

Hereโ€™s our selection of DraftKings targets to help guide your picks ahead of Saturdayโ€™s contests.

Gareth Bale โ€“ Wales โ€“ $10200
Joint-top scorer for the tournament so far, the Wales talisman also leads the way when it comes to efforts on target โ€“ a total of 13 is five more than any player after four rounds of fixtures. As evidenced by his crucial assist in the 1-0 win over Northern Ireland, Bale will be vital to Walesโ€™ progress and we can expect him to pose Thibaut Courtois plenty of problems as Chris Colemanโ€™s men look to cement a place in the semi-finals.

Eden Hazard โ€“ Belgium โ€“ $8500
The Belgium wide man finally sparked into life last time out with a goal and assist in the 4-0 demolition of Hungary. More budget-friendly than team-mate Kevin de Bruyne ($9700), Hazard registered three shots and four key passes against the Magyars and, after a slow start to Euro 2016, looks to be building momentum for the last eight. Itโ€™s worth noting that Hazard is a slight doubt for the match after picking up a thigh problem.

Jakub Blaszczykowski โ€“ Poland โ€“ $6100
Restored to the starting XI for the win over Switzerland, the Poland winger grabbed the opener to take his tally to two strikes and an assist for the tournament โ€“ essentially, heโ€™s played a part in all his nationโ€™s goals so far. Given that he sits second for crosses and is top for successful tackles amongst Adam Nawalkaโ€™s squad, Blaszczykowski looks an excellent all-round option for our eight-man DraftKings squads.

Raphael Guerreiro โ€“ Portugal โ€“ $4900
The defender offers a reliable route into the Portugal rearguard at a time where uncertainty surrounds the right-back berth. Despite missing the final group match, Guerreiro still leads the way when it comes to successful tackles for Fernando Santosโ€™ side and his raids down the flank have delivered 16 crosses โ€“ third highest in the squad. Having also supplied six key passes, his creativity could be vital to his nationโ€™s prospects of progressing. Guerreiro picked up a minor muscle problem during the extra-time win over Croatia but has since returned to training earlier today, according to reports.

DraftKings contests for Thursday and Fridayโ€™s matches are now available, including the above-mentioned $3 entry “Striker” with a $13k prize pot. Those yet to register should check out this link to take advantage of the free entry offer.

DraftKings is available only to those aged 18 or over. Be sure to take note of their Terms and Conditions here.

On a wc but struggling a bit

    Thinking about 4 x France and 4 x Belgium:

Lloris / Rui Pat or Fab
    Umiti / Meunier / Vert / Hector / Giachareni
KDB / Hazard / Payet / Kuba / Renato (enabler)
    Griezman / Ronaldo / Gomez

    0.5 itb, any obvious changes?

Wales always scores.. 7 goals altogether. I wouldn't double up Belgium defence.
Umtiti will probably play but he doubtful for semi when Rami's back if they advance of course.

And I wouldn't pick Ronaldo. It is waste of money imo. You may have the same for 7 million and you don't need Renato but proper player

Ronaldo is far from a waste of money, the reason I am top of my MLs is because of him! Also Renato expected to start, and at that price, why not?

Do what you like. Ronaldo is mediocre in this Euro. he scored only Hungary which are really bad defensively. But ok, I understand your point of view.

Who would you get in for vertongen? Was thinking that spending on Ronaldo gives me the option to get some cash next round when il transfer him out regardless...get what you mean though. Could triple up in Belgium attack with lukaku and upgrade Renato for a 7.5m...not sure who though

you have Fab/ Patricio dilemma so go with one of them and Vert spot use for POL or POR defender depending who you pick in goal. Let's say Rui and Jedrzejczyk or Fabianski and whoever plays for Portugal (you'll know the lineups before kickoff)

Good suggestion, will probably go Rui + Jed or Fab + Guerrero if he starts. Still struggling with 5th midfielder up to 8m... Kroos? (Double Germany attack) Ramsey? (Will probably get knocked out) Italian midfielder (none seem that attractive from a FF point of view)

Blaszczykowski was used to be first penalty taker but long ago. When he lost captain armband he also lost penalties. But of course there were so little occasions to take them that nobody knows what is exactly the hierarchy.

As I said before.. people who are really close say Lewy is no1, than Blaszczykowski, Grosicki and Milik but all depends on situation on the pitch. Nawalka always has 4 pen takers and they decide between themselves who feels best in the moment.

How come? My friends are close to the team say Lewy is 100% on pens. Last time Poland had a pen in game Blaszczykowski was NOT picked by coach to do it. Lewy and Grosicki who were in front of him in shooting order just let him score cause he had tough time in club career.

I've just gone through the comments sections and seen alot of interesting teams but haven't seen one that's ultimately influenced my team.

As such I want to see if anyone had considered wild carding and selecting a team heavily to go through to the next round?

At the moment I have a rough wild card with two Italian defenders, one keeper, three French, three attacking Belgium Hazard, Lukaku and KDB. Anyone else considering such a bold move?

I am yes, heavily loaded up on Belgium France Portugal and Germany. Pretty confident all of them will win, but I'm screwed if there are more than two upsets. The Portugal players are only Ronaldo plus two enablers though

Italy have the best defence in the tournament and Germany haven't exactly set the world on fire.

They looked a lot better the last game and certainly with Gomez up front they offer a lot more attacking threat but Italy dismantled Belgium and Spain already, Germany have yet to face a top team, bar maybe Poland, which ended 0-0

No... Germany's defence is the best, they have yet to concede. They also have the best defence in terms of shots conceded and shots in box conceded by a long long way. Italy are midtable in terms of stats. Germany also have second most goal attempts and chances created. Italy have been good, and far beyond expectations, true.

Italy only conceded when they dropped Buffon and Chiellini and played an overall weaker team given they had already topped the group. Would not want to bet against an Italy win here.

Great point. And watching Germany, then have been against teams that couldn't finish. Otherwise they'd have lost a goal or too, especially to someone like Spain. How many Italians and Germans are in your current team?

In 2012 and 2006 Germany were also supposed to beat Italy and you know what... in ended as always. Germany NEVER won a game on ANY tournament against them, and from what I saw how Italy plays defensively I can;t see German to win this time again. But it may be 0-0 and penalties. Italy just loves teams playing the way German plays.

Really interesting points mate. Great to see my question had fueled everyone's thinking. I'm definitely more confident with my three Italian back three (when I play my wild card). I'm top of my mini league so it will be looking 18 points or a minus 12 damage control. How many Italians does your lineup include? I don't really want to place my bets by having German players in as well. Id personally love a Belgium vs Italy final.

    Current frontline

    Bale/Griezman/Ronaldo

Would Gomez be a better option than one of them and if so which one?

    Rest of the team is

    Neuer/Hennessy
    Giach/Hector/Meunier/Bonnuci/Guerrero
    Hazard/Payet/Bล‚aszczykowski/Khedira/Sanches

    Captains
    Ronaldo
    Hazard/Bale
Giach (or Gomes if I change one of the front 3)
    Payet/Griez

Leading my mini league by 20 and my nearest rival has Bale and Khedira and has already used his wildcard

    Gomez - Griezmann - Ronaldo

It's good. Not fond of having any French defence or the Polish. Start Sanches.

Cheers man, yeah i'm a bit shaky with the french defence, it's more or less only for the Iceland game, may offload Lloris after that.
Ishall start sanches for sure ๐Ÿ™‚

I would say this is poor advice. Why take up a German spot you might need later when Leno will not play a single minute? Go with the 4.0 from Iceland!

Oh how badly I want Negredo in PL again, even if it's not at City. ๐Ÿ™

What a duo he was with Aguero. There wasn't happier person than me when one of them had scored.

I think he would be perfect for a number of PL clubs - West Ham, Crystal Palace, Everton, Southampton, Swansea, Spurs. Not to mention weaker clubs.

    We miss you, The Beast!

He couldn't hit a barndoor away from home when he was with City. Class at home alright but finishing was woeful in away games.

Before the tournament started he was called the main man of that team, but having seen them play he is just one of the 11. Relies too much on penalties and has to do too much defensive work for 8m.

    Hennessey, de Gea*
    Howedes*, Rami*, Walker*, Meunier, Jedzejczyk
Alli*, de Bruyne, Payet, Ozil, Perisic*
    Milik, Bale, Ronaldo

Alli, Walker & Perisic to Renato Sanchez, Giaccherini & Hazard so far.

Still have Howedes, Rami and de Gea without a game this gameweek and 5.6 million left. One transfer. Worth taking a hit?

Simon Francis is going to be so sick next year. The two periods at which he played right-back(GW1-10 & GW33-38), check out those stats and even put them up against Danny Rose & Héctor Bellerín in the comparison tool. Crazy numbers.

I'm feeling comfortable WC'ing to this:

    Courtois / Lloris
    Giach / Meunier / sagna / Umtiti / Guerreiro
    KDB / Hazard / Draxler / Payet / Renato
    Ronaldo / Griezmann / Lukaku

    Fra (5), Bel (5), Por (3), Ger (1), Ita (1)

    Anyone disagree with any choices?

Kosc isn't on a yellow. Only France to get Yellows last match were Rami and Kante

The ban rule counts all yellows accrued from the start of the tournament, and I'm pretty sure Koscielny has one -- so if he gets another vs Iceland and they win, he'll miss the next match.

£14m for Nolito that looks like a good buy by Pep . He might not be a fantastic fantasy asset be he can pick a pass and might be good for Aguero .

I am hoping Woodward does not get in Mourinho's way and he is able to turn United into contenders by the time the summer is over . Reports are they are butting heads already

Bobby Charlton was asked how he thought the England team of '66 would have fared against Iceland. " I think we'd have won 1-0 " he replied. "Only 1-0?" Said the reporter. "Yes," said Bobby. "Most of us are in our 70's now!" ๐Ÿ™‚
