Am getting toasted by Bale in my main mini-league so considering the following free transfers:
    VDV>Bale
    Walker>Jones
    Anybody see a better option?

    Whom to get in ?
Verm, Jones, Nani for a 4 point hit
It be Evans -> Verm. Jones
    or Fox -> Nani

    Vorm (Krul)
    Kompany Brown, Evans (Simpson. Ward)
    Silva VDV Dyer Walters (Fox)
    RVP Ba Adebayor

If i get Nani, who do i drop from the front 8?

Ramsey and Walters > Nani and O'Hara for a 4 point hit? If only Ramsey and Walters didn't have home games..

Hiya guys, can't believe my luck bringing in Hernandez this week in place of Torres, he gets injured whilst Torres gets an assist, gotta love it.

Anyway, im getting rid of Chico obviously, and Ramsey, who would you bring in for these two? I'm left with 17.8m to spend, so best replacement suggestions?

Was thinking Hernandez & Ramsey >>> Ba & Walcott? (would get bale but already have BAE, VDV & Ade)

Have to be careful who i put in for these two, so any help/suggestions greatly appreciated.

My transfer ShawX -> Baines wasn't the best one either. Minus 4 points for extra 2.6 can't be a good deal...

Ba & Walcott looks good, I'd also consider Suarez as Liverpool's fixtures improve.

Walcott keeps assisting RVP so there should be good points there. You could also go for Mata or Adam in that similar price range. Ba is a good shout short term. Both transfers seem good

Thanks to everyone that commented above, but I had to pretend to work a bit so missed replying to you guys.

    So general consensus is:
    Walker > 4.5 AND Sinclair > Bale
is better than just VDV > Bale

    So which def?
    Already have Naylor and Raylor..

Alternatively I could not get Bale at all and do something funky like downgrade Kompany and get Mata/Nani/Walcott.
Or I could do Kompany > Verm!
      Ahhh so many possibilities!

Brown I guess, but Boyata & McCauley are other cheaper options. If Wilkinson is back in for Stoke, he's not a bad pick, but you probably don't have time to find that out 😉

Is it really worth all this to get Bale? Would the money (1.5) be better spent elsewhere?

    from previous page

ok short of Studge, who I’m reluctant to get just yet, I can’t see any options other than Welbeck to replace Hernandez (I already have Ba and I have 3 Spurs players so no Ade on the menu)Can’t see the point in the Yak, not sure he'll deliver another haul like that, Morison and Helgicopter have tough fixtures coming up and Graham is injured (though he is an option but it leaves me with only Jones as United coverage) Anyone any ideas? Have already taken a 4 point hit, but an 8 point hit given the state of my ML won’t be all that bad as long as it’s for a player who can repay it, thinking with Liverpool's next few fixtures, maybe a cheeky punt on Suarez (depending on how he does tomorrow)

City are too good for their own sake, they just think it's too easy and switch off and let soft goals in

might be worth waiting until Weds, he was first choice at the start of the season when Hernandez was out and looked good, but not sure he's as reliable a points scorer as Hernandez, Hernandez could score from 1 or 2 chances in a game, Welbeck seems to need 5 or 6, but it's worth looking at for sure, I've narrowed it down to him or Suarez

      Just seen your squad H.S.

I'd much prefer Ba to Welbeck i think. The ACON is a worry, but he still has 4 great games before then. United appear to be playing for clean sheets more recently, and winning 1-0, so i can't foresee too many big hauls for Welbeck. He's not nailed on for 90 either, even with Hernandez's injury. Berbatov should be back soon, and Rooney could go up top on his own too.

Really liking Newcastle's fixtures, from an attacking point of view. Ba looked very dangerous in the Chelsea game, and is in the finest of form, whilst Welbeck isn't yet.

I think he'll get almost as much as Jones will.

Just logged on to see Hennessey saved a penalty. So glad I played 0 pointer Vorm!

      Ditto on penalty saver Krul...

What's the story on Coloccini btw? Saw he went off early. If he and Saylor are out, could change Newc's c/s appeal big time...

You and me both, I remember talking to fellow FPL-er just before yesterdays 3 o'clocks and we were like "yeah, you play Vorm because he'll at least get save points"...

      Nice on Michel.

I'm really confused by this, not in a Captain Hindsight kind of way but why did you choose a keeper for bla rather than SUN? Blackburn have been scoring for fun and Swansea's away form was poor.

Clean sheet vs Liverpool kind of poor?

That was the result that convinced me to play Vorm this week actually. It's actually atypical of their away results this season though. I shall remember that in future. Strict rotation for Vorm once more.

3 vs Norwich, 2 vs. Wolves, 1vs Arsenal and 4vs City as well though.
Granted Wolves record in general is also poor but the main difference is Blackburn have scored plenty this season and Sunderland just haven't.

Wish I'd played Krul over Vorm this week. I never seriously considered it, but still annoying! Otherwise I'm still regretting my Studge -> Bendtner transfer of 3 weeks ago. Thankfully offloaded Bendtner now though,

Wish I'd played Hennessey over Vorm and sold Rooney for Yakubu on Friday night.

Oh well, another red arrow this week, that's 3 in 4 weeks. Not good.

Anyone who thinks that Rooney will score more points/week on a regular basis soon?

have no answer. he's in a goalscoring coma and it's hard to say when he'll suddenly snap out of it

Yes, it's very hard to say. I have him but I don't want to switch him out for another striker because he probably score a hat trick the following week, since he always has the potential to do so.
