It'd be tough to argue Joe Montana. He'd get my vote.

Manning, Staubach, and Starr are there, too.

But I'm a Phil Simms guy myself, although I'd never argue he's the best QB.

Hell I´ll give a shout to a more recent machine: Tom Brady

I would say Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers and of course Manning are better than Aaron.

I cant seem to go through with it..If you think about it, VDV is more likely to score/assist than Bale is next week. So it doesnt really make sense to take a hit to bring in Bale for VDV (I think the main reason is catching the bale price rise and avoiding the VDV price fall)..

I'm considering the VDV>Bale move also, free transfer.

VDV has to be a doubt now? Even if fit, he's battling with an in form Defoe. Bale is in form and cheaper.

I don't expect to make any other transfers before the next deadline.

          No brainer eh?

Thats a good enough reason imo.

My only worry is that I'm jumping on the Welshman at the trail end of his form.

I hope it isn't as temporary as 'form' though, and perhaps an extended lull preceded his recent performances.

The D was gassed though at that point.

The Packers may well go 16-0 just like the Colts will probably replicate the Lions and go 0-16.

However, I'm not sold on GB's D and in the NFL there's always going to be one game you play where your opponent makes one play more than you or you just fumble a couple of times in bad field positions.

It genuinely wouldn't surprise me for GB to go 16-0, have the bye and then get bounced out of the playoffs in the divisional round by a WC team that just gets hot at the right time.

This is what I'm worried about. Not keeping the faith in Sturridge and shipping him out for Bendtner three weeks ago has made me terrified of making transfers for fear that they'll backfire. Thanks all for your thoughts...I'm leaning towards just doing VDV -> Bale as well and hoping the money saved and price rise will soften the blow if VDV does well. I can still see Bale doing well vs. Stoke; Huth is not a right back and I don't rate Wilko particularly highly.

Keep Studger until he stops scoring every game at least. Wait to see how Newcastle are now they're without Saylor and Coloccini. Wait and see how Ben Arfa does too, I like him more than Ba if he's starting every game. With that in mind it'd have to be 2.

I'm not a Chelsea fan but I'd advise against it. I think he's a classy player but he's by no means nailed on, and with the Chelsea defence as it is this year, 3 point games won't happen all that often. If you're looking for a player in that bracket I'd suggest Gower; assist machine.

Slowly establishing himself as a better alternative than Mikel. Not sure about upcoming gametime though, as AVB still will have to use Obi from time to time..

I suggest you use the time up to the January WC and throw him in if he becomes a regular..decent punt compared to the other midfielders in that region I guess

They may do, but they are not scoring goals. I am considering Welbeck to replace Hernandez (who I got in for this GW), but Utd are not playing with the confidence to suggest they will get lots of goals in these fixtures.

Another failure in the last few games for me then - 62 pre bonus now looking pretty average.

2 freebies (and 0.1m in the bank) to get excited about this week - which of these do peeps think are best?

    a) Woodgate & Aguero -> P Jones & Ba (leaves me 2.4m in the bank for GW16)
    b) Ramsey & Aguero -> Nani & Ba (leaves me 1.0m in the bank for GW16)
    c) Woodgate & Aguero -> P Jones & Suarez (leaves me 0.0m in the bank for GW16)

    Westwood, Ruddy
    Vermaelen, Brown, Simpson, Wilkinson, Woodgate
    VDV, Silva, Ramsey, Sinclair, Reo-Coker

Personally I'd keep Aguero and do Woodgate -> Naylor, Reo-Coker -> Gower. You'll be a bit Swans heavy this week but you can then do Sinclair to someone the following week. Aguero is close to a season keeper imo considering how many City are scoring.

I don’t know I have gone this far. Next gameweek is gonna be the first week for me to play 5 defenders.

    De Gea
    Vidic Vermy NTaylor Brown Simpson
    VDV Silva
    RVP Adebayor Klasnic

    Bench: Vorm Walters Drenthe Dyer

0.0 in bank with 1 FT.
    Suggestion?
I like doubling up on United defense, but De Gea is not starting every game, I am planning to ship him out on next CL fixtures and upgrade Walters/Drenthe/Klasnic. Thoughts?
I would love to bring Ba in, any suggestion moves?
