Helping a mate setting up a wild card team. He had a woeful start, lost a lot of value. I am thinking he keeps hold of RVP and RTaylor because of the value increase, and get differentials for the rest.
Westwood, Ruddy
Vermaelen, RTaylor, NTaylor, Wilkinson, McAuley
VDV, Mata, Walcott, O Hara, Johnson
RVP, Sturridge, Yakubu
0.6-0.8 left depending on Bale and Larsson price ricesOpen Controlsplease, not all at once! 😀
Open Controls
ok gents with 2 FT what do think there?
westwood - ruddy
monk verms enrique - raylor shawx
walters sess vdv silva- hba
suarez ade rvp
in the bank 0.0
so on the transfer list:
raylor 4.6
walters 6.3
shawx 5.1
vdv 10.1
opinionsOpen ControlsI posted my wild card team in the last page but had to go to the dentist before I could reply to other people's comments about it!
but generally I need 1 more defender/1 more midfielder and 1 more striker with 16.6 to spend
currently I have Yaks/Jags/Ben Arfa
People have suggested Ba and I'm all for it because I need a newcastle attacker but then I can't have Jags and there isn't many good midfielders below 5.5Open ControlsCan you afford Ba + Wilko/Oily Mac/Naylor + larrsson/Sess/Walters.
Open ControlsI've took a gamble on Formica. Blackburn have good fixtures and, although it's a gamble, any player at that price is.
Open Controls
Looking forward to the biggest bandwagon in town after tonight's game - SUUAAAAREZ!
Who's with me? 😀Open ControlsHe better do something! Although he is probably out of my team this week in my wild card team, which is a sham with his easy fixture next weekend 🙁 I assume he will get 2 pts again tho
Open Controls
Ok so 28.7% of the players still own Rooney. That is approx 760K..
I reckon over 40% of the 2.6 million players have stopped playing or are so bad its irrelevant... Let's say 1 million then
Of that 1 million I reckon 75% had Rooney at the beginning of the year. That's 750K
Therefore with some careful fudging of numbers I reckon only 10K of players that are any competition have Rooney... thats less than 1%... Now thats a differential and a half... Especially when I captain him next week... 🙂Open ControlsGood luck JD 😀
Open ControlsI need it..
Open Controls
I don't get it?
Your first line says approx 760K, second says 1 million 😕
What is the point of having a differential thats average is 2.5 since GW 6 😕Open Controlsoh dear 🙂
Open ControlsI know Gaz, I know... clutching at straws to justify me bringing him in
Open Controls
Yeah, you have a point there. In all of my leagues, most of my rivals already removed him. So i am thinking same for next gameweek.
Open Controls
Who will score more with the baps? Did a 8 pts hit this week
Bale + Baines + Ben Arfa: 12 + 2 + 1 - 8 = 7
VDV + Shawc + Drenthe : 1 + 6 + (1) = 8
Bale for 3 baps seeing an instant return of points?Open Controlshaha. I don't think you can see it that way.
Had you done VDV > Bale (free)
Bale: 14
VDV: 1
😛Open Controls+1
Open ControlsThat's true but Baines is a great investment and difficult to get without a points hit. He's still evertons best attacking player, on free kicks and pens and Everton have tightened up at the back. Gaz maybe didn't benefit this week but he'll be quids in within a few weeks.
Open ControlsI don't see how paying for 7.8 for a defender who just got 2 points at home to Stoke is a good investment.
Open ControlsIt's called forward planning.
Open Controls+1
Nice to know Baines will get you 4pts in gw 20.Open Controlswith ars NOR sun wba and tot part of the DGW i dont see many clean sheets in the next 6-7 for baines.. so basically relyin on attackin points.. ie brilliant crosses with no one capable of headin em in.. so just direct free kicks and penalties for 7.8 million:(.. i own him and after watchin the last 2 games i'm kinda regrettin it
Open ControlsTim Cahill is capable of taking advantage of Baines crosses and will do.
Open Controls
Well I would rather Vermaelen/Jones/Evra/Richards who are all cheaper, have
similar/more attacking returns and can all keep clean sheets.
But I guess that's just me.Open ControlsBaines got a clean sheet last week. Out of those 4 I reckon Verm and Richards might outscore him up to week 21.
Open ControlsA CS againt a 10 man Bolton, lols.
Open Controls
Put it this way;
Vermaelen - 6.8 M, 543 minutes, 3 goal, 1 assist, 3 CS, 9BP's (assuming 3 baps this week = 51 points
Baines - 7.8 M, 1170 minutes, 2 goals (both pens nonetheless) 1 assist, 2 CS, 8 BP's = 49 points.
In conclusion...Baines has played more than double the minute that Vermaelen has, is currently 1.0 more expensive, yet Vermaelen has more Goals, Boners, CS's, is equal on assists, and has scored more points.Open ControlsI'll have Vermaillen within 2 weeks. Both have great potential and I freely admit I should have got Verm in first. Both good investments.
Open Controls
even i have 3.3 in the bank and can make only 1 ft to replace vermae, jones, enrique, bae and richard to baines, i wont
Open Controls
I'm sorry but i guess you already knew this;
VDV > Bale would have given you Bale (14) + Shawcross (8?) + Drenthe's Sub (1) = 23Open Controlswaaa
Open Controls
so far it is pretty even
B-wagon: -8 + 13 + 2 + 1 = 8
vd Van: 1 + 8 + (1) = 10
still, captaining RVP and only doing VDV - Bale would have left me with 89 pts... instead of 66
1-0 to "playing it safe"Open Controls
G'night all
Open ControlsAnyone know why Vukcevic came on for Rochina in the 39th minute on saturday? Can`t find any injury news.
Maybe Vukcevic could be a good punt GW16 and GW17. Got 2 assists in the 2nd half vs Swansea.Open ControlsIn a bit of a soup. Got Saylor and need to change him but all I can afford is 5mil (LYoung, Ward, Barnet, Martin R) already have Jones, Enrique, Simpson and Brown. Dont need SWA defence for me.
With one hit I can manage 5.5 mil (change Begovic to Hennessey/Al Habsi) and get Jagielka..
help?Open ControlsNot worth a hit for defenders (as a rule of thumb).
Can you wait a week for double free transfer next week?Open Controls
So this weeks transfer seems to be an easy one, Baines -> Verm
Sound good or stick with the Bainsey?Open ControlsPlease any suggestions for bonuses:
Jones
Vermaalen
Bale
Nani
Ramires
Mata
Silva
Sesegnon
Thank you.Open ControlsWhat to do with this lot with 1 free transfer and $0 in the bank, hmmm
Krul, Westwood
Enrique, Jones, Ward, WILKO, RANGEL
Silver, Eagles, B Arfa, DRENTHE, VDV
V persie, Adebayor, HERNANDEZ
The ones in capitols are either injured, didn't start (and may not start for a while), or are out of favor.
At this stage I am prepared to get rid of Hernandez and Rangel as they will certainly be out for a while and should solve the problem of making sure I have 11 players this week.
So far I am thinking of selling hernandes for sturridge this week and I will have exactly enough to sell Rangel for Baines next week assuming there are no unfavorable price rises or drops.
What do you guys think, sound plan?Open ControlsSounds like a decent plan!
I still think Baines is terrible.. But Hernandez > Ba sounds good!
Hold VdV for a bit (aka, start him and you will have a starting 11 for this week imo)Open Controlscheers. I admit baines is a risk. But I think it will be reduces slightly if I get him after the arsenal game and I can always get rid of him in the january wildcard. Vermaelen is also on my radar. Not keen to triple up on newcastle so won't be looking at Ba
Open ControlsAh!
Misread your transfer plan. Sorry!
I'd rather have Ba than Studge, and I wouldn't want Ben Arfa. But these are your calls!Open Controls
12 bonus points this week 😀
Open ControlsBale dammit.
Can't complain though, was not expecting RVP 3 and Silva 2Open ControlsMy boners came from Bale (31.5%) Silva (46.4%) and RVP (32.7%)
#differentialsOpen Controls
Aguero 0 points! I don't know why they bother with the ICT analysis guesses-just winds me up!
Open ControlsVermalean only 1 bap, major lol's.....but how?
Open Controlsnani 2 points for an assist, sess 0 for an assist
Open Controls77
Open ControlsDefoe has to be my least favourite FPL player at the moment.
He sneaks into poor old VDV's starting position, then his poor finishing robbed my team of Bale, Adebayor AND VDV assists, and now he takes a bap from Bale.. 👿Open ControlsAnd people still think VDV is a sure starter...lol
Open ControlsWell, why wouldn't he be?
'Arry has dropped a goalscoring Defoe before, and to be fair, he should have had AT LEAST 2 more goals!Open ControlsI dunno JO. But if I was Harry, I'd play Defoe. The whole team flourishes with him, esp Ade.
Open ControlsThere is no way to prove it, but if a fully fit VDV had started against a 10 man Bolton they'd have scored at least 2-3 more, he is pretty much their best finisher.
Open Controls
It wasn't long ago Harry was going on about how he feels bad for Defoe because there's no way he can drop VDV... don't see any reason why that would have changed. Pretty sure Harry just saw home against Bolton as a good way to give VDV a bit more rest. We shall see I guess.
Open ControlsThat's old news. His latest comments were like: VDV & Defoe are equally good players and would not be used to dropping to the bench.
Open ControlsThis site is all about trying to convince yourself you've done the right thing, I know that's how I use it 😀 I'm 100% certain VDV will start and score big points at the weekend.... heh.
Open Controls
Ooh 15 bonus points though, sweet potato pie 🙂
Open Controlsthat captaincy 3 BP needs to be recalculated. Sorry to ruin the party 😀
Open Controls

Wolves - Sunderland: (3) Fletcher; (2) Jarvis; (1) RichardsonOpen ControlsFavourite to win this week?
Me: 5 points
Him: EnriqueOpen ControlsGoodbye.
Open ControlsSorry, but him 😉
Open ControlsReally? I'd put me as favourite there... Enrique HAS 50 points from 13 games = 3.85 per game average. Away at Fulham not the easiest place to get a clean sheet! Will be close though!
Open Controls
Him 75% You 25%
All it takes is an assist & Jose is due one.Open ControlsA draw/ Yellow card for Enrique.
Open Controlsyour asking a biased audience as most of us have Enrique and hope he gets a clean sheet
Open ControlsI'm just saying what I think it will be.
0-1 IMO, Liverpool have the least amount of goals conceded in the league, and besides the 6-0 win against QPR, Fulham have scored 9 goals in 12 games..Open Controls
Bonus haven't been kind to me. In this system I would like to see another occasion where a player has scored his teams only goal in a game featuring only 2 goals and yet received nothing!
Open ControlsHelguson for me.. I know, it sucks..
Open Controls
Vermaelen gettin just one bp does not bode well for the future.. when he just gets a clean sheet he may not get bps at all
