Suspensions

Following on from our earlier tweet regarding Leighton Baines’ yellow card situation, we bring you a quick update:

The FA have in the last few minutes confirmed to us that Baines’ disciplinary record shows 3 bookings this season; vs Chelsea Oct 15, vs Norwich Nov 5 and Wolves Nov 19.

The FA have confirmed that these are his only bookings this season and therefore he is two yellow cards away from a ban, not one as stated by Everton’s recent team news article on their official website.

Our suspension tightrope and Members Player Discipline table is therefore also correct.

Good news, then, ahead of tomorrow’s home clash with Norwich and reassuring for the 6% of Fantasy managers currently holding the left-back with a home clash against Swansea also to follow on Wednesday.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    RE my earlier post: http://www.fantasyfootballscout.co.uk/2011/12/16/african-cup-of-nations-reminder/comment-page-1/#comment-2367726

Sorry i disappeared. Tosey it is from GW 21 to the end of the season.

It worth baring in mind when you are playing your wildcard in January, because some of the Problem Gameweeks do occur in the wildcard window. So if your planning to play it late, say in GW24 then you might miss a couple of problem gameweeks making certain rotations better than others.

Also its worth noting that in some of the rotations, say Newcastle/Sunderland for instance, 2 of the 6 Problem Gameweeks are the last 2 of the season, so you could pick this rotation then just switch one of the defenders for say a Wigan (bla,WOL) Wolves (EVE, wig) or Stoke (qpr, BOL) defender for the last 2 weeks.

As i mentioned i like the Fulham Stoke one, with Fulham out the EL and Stoke soon to be, both sides rotate fairly well but most importantly both are traditionally strong at home and capable of clean sheets.

              So did Kolarov!

But in terms of unfilled potential, Ramsey this season has been very similar to Kolarov last year. They were both logical picks, but things never really worked out. Hopefully that will change with Rambo.

    Afternoon gents,

Was looking forward to not doing any transfers this week and then Jamie O Hara gets injured.

So shopping for a replacement.... narrowed it down to:

Cabaye, Ben Arfa or Drenthe ..... good fixtures but Cabaye is the only nailed on.

Out of those three is Cabaye the best bet or Ben Arfa or Drenthe worth the risk?

    cheers guys

not the best bench in the world mate, shorey, dyer and wilkinson!

could take a punt on shorey but fancy blackburn to score a couple.

yeh not alot of good options in that price range

Im in a similar dilemma, personally i dont like any of the options available to me. I dont rate Drenthe, he scored and impressive goal, but his actual stats look poor, along with the doubts surrounding his temperament and Evertons inability to score it seems a dodgy bet.

Quite like the idea of a punt on Ben Arfa. The only problem there is that Newcastles fixtures are only good for another 3 games or so and then have to face Liverpool and United which doesnt really help me and ill quite likely have to expend points in 3 weeks which i dont want.

    Current RVP ownership: 33,5%.
Last season: I think ~15% with 20% being the peak. Only 20% were still interesed in FPL between January - May '11?

A lot of people forget to update their teams 'cause they're busy and there's more games, then they give up. I lost interest over Christmas last year but got back into it and ended up ranked in the top 5k. Right now i'm not even in the top million.

O'Hara -> Cabaye worth a 4 pointer? I would go with HBA but he doesn't seem guaranteed of game time..

Agree with Ben Arfa, Wouldn't get cabaye either though, don't rate him for fpl.

      Maybe Drenthe?

I don't think so. You're almost certain to get at least 1-2 points from the bench (potentially more) and I can't see Cabaye getting 5-6, nor being worth longer term investment.

I would be playin Allen if I dont make a transfer.. Would prefer a player that could potentially score big, Allen won't.

I've been on the Drenthe wagon already, don't think i'll return. Is Drenthe back in contention again? I see his name been mentioned around here again
