Leicester stopper Kasper Schmeichel is ruled out with a hand injury. Theo Walcott is pictured back in training ahead of the north London derby, West Brom’s Nacer Chadli is sidelined with a knee problem, whilst Man United have worries over Paul Pogba for Sunday’s visit to Swansea.

Claudio Ranieri revealed that Kasper Schmeichel could be out for anything between two and seven weeks with a hand injury. The Foxes boss also confirmed that Islam Slimani is expected to be available for the home match against West Brom, though Nampalys Mendy and Ben Chilwell miss out again.

In yesterday morning’s press conference, Arsene Wenger indicated Arsenal still have a number of injury doubts for the north London derby. The Gunners boss said Theo Walcott “is the closest to coming back” and was also optimistic on Hector Bellerin’s prospects, with Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal set to face late tests. Kieran Gibbs is also a concern after sustaining a shoulder problem in midweek. Later in the day, however, Walcott, Bellerin and Monreal were all pictured back in full training.

James Milner has recovered from the illness that forced him to miss last week’s trip to Palace and is available for Liverpool’s home clash with Watford.

Martin de Roon and Christhian Stuani are both passed fit for Middlesbrough’s trip to the Etihad. Daniel Ayala remains a slight doubt, whilst Gaston Ramirez serves a one-match ban.

Mark Hughes has admitted that Xherdan Shaqiri is “touch and go” for Stoke’s trip to West Ham – the Swiss international has failed to train all week after limping out of Monday’s win over Swansea with a hamstring problem. The Potters boss was even more pessimistic on the chances of Geoff Cameron, with the US international expected to miss out.

Maarten Stekelenburg has recovered from a foot problem in time for Everton’s trip to Chelsea. Idrissa Gueye is set to serve a one-match ban, whilst Leighton Baines and James McCarthy are still unavailable. Arouna Kone is back in training but lacks match fitness.

Mike Phelan sprung a surprise earlier this morning by confirming that Robert Snodgrass has returned to training earlier than expected from an ankle complaint, though is still a big doubt for the weekend visit of Southampton. The Tigers manager also revealed that Dieumerci Mbokani is in contention after recovering from an injury sustained in the previous international break.

Steven Defour is available for Burnley’s home clash with Palace after shrugging off a hamstring injury. Stephen Ward misses out, though, after being forced off last week with a similar complaint.

Jefferson Montero is available for Swansea’s clash with Man United after recovering from an ankle problem. Kyle Naughton is expected to be available after being forced off due to illness on Monday night.

Nacer Chadli has been ruled out of West Brom’s trip to the King Power after undergoing minor knee surgery. Tony Pulis reckons the Belgian could return in time for the Gameweek 12 clash against Burnley, though. James McClean sits out this one due to suspension.

Sebastian Prodl faces a late assessment but is expected to miss Watford’s trip to Anfield with the groin problem that forced him off against Hull. Stefano Okaka is another who is near-certain to be sidelined, whilst Craig Cathcart, Isaac Success and Kenedy are still out.

Winston Reid serves a one-match suspension as West Ham travel to Stoke. Youngster Reece Oxford is set for a stint on the sidelines due to an ankle problem.

Alan Pardew has confirmed that Bakary Sako is a doubt for Palace’s trip to Burnley. Connor Wickham is back in contention after shrugging off a knock.

Paul Pogba is an early doubt for United’s trip to Swansea after limping out of last night’s loss to Fenerbahce with a thigh injury.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Very similar teams.I'm edging towards going for him.he looked really sharp last week plus he gives me 0.3 in the bank which will come in handy.all we need is for him to score one and Deeney to blank and we should be covered.

I never wanted him to leave. I hope he signs a new contract and stays for a few more years. These "fans" should be careful what they wish for. I'm afraid what will happen when he leaves and who will replace him. Just look at United after Fergie left.

          • 10 Years

Exactly. Those fans don't know how good they have it. My point is they'll all be singing his praise for the recent run of good form and licking their lips at an injury-hit Spurs team. Give it a couple of bad games and they'll be baying for his blood again.

Wenger deserves way more respect than he gets. Arsenal will probably have a bad run at some point (maybe November, again) and then the media madness and rumours begin. I have to tell you that I like actually like Spurs' team and Poch which is kinda weird because we're rivals but hey ... if someone is doing a great job you have to admit it. 🙂

What you are describing is often called fear of failure. 13 years without the league title. Sure, they look good every season, but sometimes change is necessary to make that next step. Of course, it can go wrong but that's the risk you take if you have ambition. Nothing wrong with top 4, but in the last 3 years, would you rather be Chelsea who won a title under Mourinho, had a horror season the next year and look to be rebuilding under Conte or Arsenal who went 4th, 3rd, 2nd.

    Firmino - Sterling - Walcott - Bolasie
    Aguero - Zlatan - Austin

Alonso over them, but nothing in Bertrand vs VVD. Both get bonus, though VVD gets likely to get one more point over Bertrand. Berty's assist threat is more than VVD's goal threat.

The worry is that Boufal starts instead of Redmond. Some says so, since Redmond played 90 minutes vs Inter.

That's true, but a the moment neither Costa or Sanchez can be dropped from my team to make space for a more expensive mid, so I'll stick to him until Costa's next yellow probably 🙂

I'm not convinced he should be spoken about in the same breath as Mahrez and Alli from last season; he's still at heart a deeper-lying player, in a squad full of mint no.10s, inside forwards, and wingers.

(I'll come back in 3 weeks when he's scored 5 and risen 0.6m)

      1. Pariße
        • 10 Years
        9 years, 2 months ago

Definitely. He'll be good for this run of nice fixtures they have, so I'm expecting and odd assist now and then, can't see him being a good pick after that.

    GTG?

    Heaton (Pickford)
    Mee Bellerin Smith Walker (Holebas)

Who do I start at the back:
    A) Pickford (bou)
    B) Foster

Also, worth starting Amat incase he returns after Swansea's poor defending against Stoke?
    1) Amat (MUN)
    2) McAuley (lei)
    3) Friend (mci)

    Not ideal choices I know!

Pickford should pick up some save points, and through a process of elimination (Friend will concede and Amat won't play) I'd go with McAuley.

I'd argue that, given his price and upcoming fixtures, Coutinho is approaching must-have status.

    @chili bowl tournament
    Dear Captains,
I really want to be a part of a good team, which can win the title.
My history shows nothing, I used another email id last year, and the year before that. I lost the password of the old email id, hence made a new one.
I am experienced enough to be in a major, good captains team. I want to win this.
This gameweek, my team needed a surgery.I took a 16 point hit. Other gameweeks, I have played cautiously. (Somewhat like Ronka). Please don't judge me by this GW only. And I have got back Aguero this GW. Don't judge me on that too.

Please please please take me in a good team.

    I would not disappoint

Why didn't you just reset your password via the lost password function?

Sounds fishy. So you lost your entire amazing game history just because you couldn't click once on the lost password link? Sorry but I gotta call it as I see it, and I don't buy it.

And Ronka would saw his arms off before ever taking a -16pt hit. I highly doubt you're anything like him. 🙂

Im after a second opinion, getting chadli in too early has put me in a position which leaves me to pick between two weak options this week.
