This afternoon we reveal the names of the competitors who won their seventh round ties to earn a place in Gameweek 21’s quarter-final stage of our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition.

A reminder that, for this contest there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

The competition’s highest placed manager Bashvilla, who is placed 9,708 in the world, will face Hazardous Blue, after seeing off Real Sociopath 47 – 39 in the last 16 round, which took place in Gameweek 19.

Hazardousblue is ranked just under 50,000 places below the competition favourite and prevailed over Lowlifegimpe 57 to 43 in round seven.

The second highest placed manager, 14,654 ranked Moin, squares up to malvernangells, who is just 2,000 places behind him following Gameweek 19’s fixtures.

Our other quarter-finals see Back on the Horse take on David Brains. The former will be the favourite with a rank of 18,929 compared to his opponent’s placing of 69,806.

Finally, the contest’s lowest ranked manager, 306,421 placed Urchin, has a tough encounter with a A Manager Has No Name, who sits in the top 40,000 following his Gameweek 19 victory over jacknap.

The manager to win the highest score prize in the last sixteen, claiming £30 credit from FanDuel, is David Brains who scored 60 points in his defeat of Big Phil Soccer Team.

The managers to earn a £10 FanDuel credit for the next highest scores were: Hazardous Blue, A Manager Has No Name, Urchin and jacknap.

The last 16 results can be found via this link, while the full quarter-finals draw can be found via this link.

I can't believe Kane went down in value last night after scoring 2 goals and an assist. Damn.

I like Ibra, Costa and Lukaku due to limited European football (Utd won't take Europa League seriously if they are fighting for top 3 in the league)

I think Defoe can close on match him (pens too) and gives you 1.8 elsewhere which can give you Baines/Jones over 2 * (4.5)

They've won 6 in a row and are 6th, they will be trying to scrape 4th and no more.

    Could do with some help on this one, I'm totally fed up tinkering with my 3rd striker slot and having the wrong WBA assetts so;

    Current Team;
    Foster/PickF
    Alonso, Pieters,Jevan,Friend,Amat.
    Sanchez/Hazard/Erik/Lallana/Fletcher
    Origi*/Ibra/Costa
    1Ft/0.8itb

As you can see I also own Fletcher and I want Defoe but short 0.2, so;(-4)

    A - Origi/PickF > Defoe/Jakup
    B - Origi/Foster > Defoe/Grant
    C - Origi/Foster > Defoe/Mannone

If I sell foster it will enable either Brunt or Philips (likely) in, and this really is the only reason I'm considering selling Foster (3 man rule).
    Any thoughts appreciated?

Agree, and that's why I wanna take a -4 this week and sort my other 'problem' area up top.
Not the best week to bring in Baines with City up next?

I can do Bentekke (7.5) for free but I'm not sure I'm comfortable with him, I really think Defoe looks better long term.
Tekkers needs to do more (Swansea?) for me right now.

Was gonna do it too for a -4 (c) but to my surprise I was 'talked' out of it on here, and with Origi only playing a bit part last game I felt he'd likely start, should have went with it really.

    3. Lawrø
      • 14 Years
      9 years, 23 days ago

If you're set on the (-4) then (C) looks the best to me.

Keeping Origi and playing 442 doesn't look to crazy but you may lose too much value to do the transfers for free next week. Origi --> Gray looks the obvious play.

        I'm comfortable with it.
I could sell hazard (> Phillips) and invest everywhere which I will likely do.
I'm fed up with my backline/3rd striker so I need to get going on these issues.
To achieve my goal now time is of the essence, would you consider Gray over Defoe?
-Jermaine does seem like a fire and forget option.

        1. Lawrø

I'd consider it but if Benteke does well tonight I'd just do Origi --> Benteke and not panic about the your defence.

Alonso Holebas Jones Amat Mc Auley
Sanchez Hazard Lala Philips (plus Big Glenn Whelan)

I'm thinking of getting rid of Siggy and also getting a Man U mid after the Liverpool game

Maybe Siggy Eriksen Holebas -> Walcott Pogba Ake over 2 weeks

    Heaton
    Alonso Holebas Pieters
    Sanchez Hazard Eriksen Siggy
    Ibra Costa Rondon

    Pickford de Roon Jones Amat

2FT and 0.6m in the bank

Team looking poor. Want rid of about 9 players (*) but have 2 frees and 2.8ITB. Any ideas please?

    Heaton / Pickford*
    Azpil / Holebas* / Pieters* / Cedric* / Amat*
    Hazard / Sanchez / Phillips / Siggy* / Mane*
    Ibra / Negredo* / Anichebe*

Thinking Anichebe and Mane ---> Costa and de Roon ?
Then maybe Holebas to Brunt (-4)
With enough for Siggy --> Coutinho next week?

    Or shall I wildcard??

WC. Your changes are valid and necessary.

    2. Draco
      • 9 Years

Don't wildcard so the the anichebe, mane and holebas change this week and then siggy to coutinho next week when you know for sure if he will be fit, there is no point wildcarding if you're just doing what would be a -4 the rest of your team looks good enough for now and the wildcard will be usefull for double game weeks if you can save it

For -4 (3 transfers) I can have this team. Which actually looks not bad. Maybe I wont wildcard then. Dont like the front line much though and no cash in the bank to sort it if I do make these transfers (Mkhi, Siggy, Kane ---> Phillips, Sanchez, Lukaku) Thoughts?

    Foster
    Alonso, VVD, Brunt
    Sanchez, Hazard, Eriksen, Phillips
    Ibra, Lukaku, Origi

Think Kane + Ibra right now. However, there's nothing between those three and so you'd want to go with who's cheapest and who has good fixtures.

    Any ideas on this lot?

    Foster - Jakupovic
    Bellerin - Brunt - Mee - Amat - Lenihan
    Sanchez - Hazard - Sigurdsson - Philips - Carrick
    Aguero - Ibrahimovic - Benteke

1 FT and 0.7m in the bank.

If you can manage to free up at least 0.1m in the bank maybe by getting rid of benteke for a cheap striker like Barnes and then do siggy to alli either for a -4 or do it next week for free

This team is good it just needs a few tranfers here and there but not worth the wildcard yet. I'd gamble most got him for the low to mid 10's. Under 10 probably less than 20%. Be interesting to have a poll on it though.

until he stops scoring it wont be much of an issue (got him @ 9.5)....but once that well dries up, it will be a difficult decision...I think ditching him during a rough patch could do wonders single handedly for one's OR , assuming one doesn't pick a complete dud in his stead. very likely that I wait until very late in the season to ditch him, similar to what some did with mahrez last season

Sold him last week for Aguero but I got him at 10.7 so it was a bit easier, not sure if I should put him back or run with Aguero and hope to get higher up the ranks while he's 21% owned.

Feel like my team is unbalanced now after transferring in Kun. Just got a bit overenthusiastic I think...

Thoughs on Clyne (mun, SWA, che) > Chambers (wat, WHU, WBA) and Sigurdsson (ARS, liv, SOU) > Alli (WBA, mci, sun) -4?

    Full team with those transfers:

    Heaton

    Chambers - Brunt - Ake

    Sanchez - Alli - Lallana - Allen

    Aguero - Kane - Ibrahimovic

Looking at my team... I'm hoping to proper sort it out (maybe even taking a few hits over the next few weeks).

Who are the obvious players to be changed?

    Grant Pickford
    Alonso Holebas Ake Evans Amat
    Sanchez Hazard Eriksen Phillips Fletcher
    Costa Ibra Defoe

Immediate thoughts are: Holebas, Evans and Eriksen
Lesser down the list are: Amat and Pickford

Do you agree? Might bring in Baines, Brunt, Coutinho (for the first three)
