Aaron Ramsey is ruled out of Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea and Olivier Giroud requires a late fitness test. Bournemouth’s Charlie Daniels is still sidelined for a trip to Everton, while Virgil van Dijk could be out for up to three months with an ankle injury.

Olivier Giroud and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are set for late fitness tests ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Chelsea, though Arsene Wenger expects both to be available. Aaron Ramsey is ruled out for three weeks with a calf complaint.

Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson has been ruled out for the season after suffering knee ligament damage in training. Charlie Daniels is also unavailable for the trip to Goodison, though Max Gradel is back in contention after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Calum Chambers has a chance of returning for Middlesbrough’s clash with Spurs, though Gaston Ramirez and George Friend are still unavailable.

Virgil van Dijk has been ruled out for two to three months with an ankle complaint, while James Ward-Prowse and Jay Rodriguez will continue to be assessed ahead of Southampton’s clash with West Ham, Claude Puel has confirmed. Meanwhile, cub-record signing Manolo Gabbiadini looks in line for a debut after arriving from Napoli on transfer deadline day.

Xherdan Shaqiri remains sidelined for Stoke’s clash with West Brom, while Glen Johnson is expected to miss out again. Wilfried Bony and Mame Biram Diouf are back in the squad after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations.

Leon Britton is back in training and comes into contention for Swansea’s trip to the Etihad. New signing Jordan Ayew won’t be available, though, as he is still turning out for Ghana in the Africa Cup of Nations.

Sunderland new boys Bryan Oviedo and Darron Gibson will be “in and around the squad” for the trip to Palace, David Moyes has confirmed. Papy Djilobodji serves the second of a four-match suspension.

Steven Defour is sidelined for Burnley’s trip to Watford due to a hamstring problem. New boys Robbie Brady and Ashley Westwood are both available to make their debuts, Sean Dyche has confirmed.

Marco Silva has confirmed that new signings Alfred N’Diaye and Kamil Grosicki are available for Hull’s home encounter against Liverpool. Dieumerci Mbokani is also in contention after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, though Lazar Markovic cannot play against his parent club.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

      I'd be giving it another week. Just.

      But talk to me later on tonight and I'll probably be putting Jesus / Kaku in.

      Obviously Jesus is a big risk vs. Kaku just a safe bet.

      See how it goes today - if you think that it's best to make the change, do it. I'd be thinking I'd be annoyed if Kun exploded and I had gotten rid, though... either way, I'm not sure you can trust him with armband, which is so sad given how many weeks I've captained the man

    I've seen a lot posts of people asking for 2016/17 FPL Calendar & Blank/Double Gameweek Predictor. Don't know why but mostly they got stupid answers and moslty no one gave them the link.
    This site is for us to help each other right? Otherwise what's the purpous of asking people for advice etc. here.

    SA: Schlupp won't be fit for this weekend, but should be for Stoke City. Baky Sako's come back from AFCON with a hamstring problem.

    Steve Mandanda's training with Martyn again, not sure when he'll play again but will be involved with U23s as soon as possible.

    SA: PvA will be okay. He's a professional, he chose us and very quickly he's playing his old club. Will want to give a good performance.

        Coleman has looked really good in the last 2 games. He's a bigger goal threat than Baines, although I believe they will end up with quite similar points at the end of the season with Baines odd penalties.

      I'm on Alli to counter everyone else I know captaining Kane.

      But I think it's an either/or between him and Eriksen if you owned.

      Ibra good pick but seemingly beginning another blankathon, so I'm avoiding him.

    Thoughts on this bunch please chaps;

    Heaton
    Alonso / Walker / Funes Mori
    Sanchez / Lallana / Eriksen / Phillips
    Carroll / Lukaku (c) / Ibra

    Pickford / Evans / Amat / Pedro

    Which of the following would you do?

    1) Pedro to Sterling (-4) and play instead of Carroll
    2) Pedro to Zaha (-4) and play instead of Carroll

      Hi mate

      Think Giroud has to go. I was looking at your option C myself, however I'd also be worried about Jones not starting (I'm actually removing him)

      What striker can you afford for Giroud + Jones out?

    Got some problems here.

    Foster;

    Rose*, Alonso, Francis;

    Sanchez, Alli, Lallana, Phillips;

    Ibra, Giroud*, Kane;

    Jaku, Evans**, Amat**, De Roon

      Ouchie.

      Erm, I'd be looking at taking a -4 here - Giroud and Rose out for Kaku and Baines/Coleman if you can afford that? Instantly makes your starting XI look better.

      Another consideration could be Tekkers / Coleman or Kaku / RFM to save more funds to shift Evans -> Brunt or something next weekend.

      Both of these assume a -4 I'm afraid, but you've been unlucky

        A) Giroud -> Tekkers (fixtures, maybe form); Carroll (no blanks)

      Hi buddy

      EWW RONDON. I also own him. Blanktastic 🙂

      But seriously, think you're looking good, it's 100% not a mess. Hold your FT this week, captain Kane, and then use 1FT next week and keep the other so you have 2 for the blanks.

      Unless you have something in mind you particularly want to do..?

      Hope that helps!

      Hi mate

      Erm, probably Coleman, but I like Walker in the Spurs game as he's been really attacking, and with Rose out I reckon a lot of the attacking play will be down the right (Ben Davies is a bit more defensively minded).

      That all being said and done, Tekkers vs. Sunderland at home, BFS' old team, with that god-awful defence is pretty compelling. Could easily score you a brace there. I'd be looking at that over a defender.

      Hope that helps.

      Going Alli to cover everyone with 2-3 Spurs!

      Never again on Kaku. Happy to own. Will only captain when absolutely no option (e.g. GW28)

      I would if I had him but I am going for Goalman instead.

      I figure an Everton clean sheet is more likely with Wilson injured

    GW26 WC draft - any clangers in there?

    Jaku
    Alonso*, Baines, Coleman, Nyom
    Alli*, Phillips, Zaha*
    Costa*, Kane*, Lukaku

    DDG*, Siggy, Stan, Maguire

    * = likely GW28 blankers (use 2FT to get 11 starters)
