Swansea’s fine 3-2 win over Arsenal concludes the weekend action, leaving tomorrow evening’s clash between Wigan and City as the only unfinished business in the Gameweek. Time then, for us to extract the key statistics from our Members area and make a stab at the destination of the Fantasy Premier League bonus points…
who is best replacement for Yakubu in budget of 7.5 M??
Open Controlsaah, my Thailand friend! Are you well?
Open Controls...Fletcher or Helguson? I also have Yak but might keep him as i was going to rotate him with Sess/Walters.
Open ControlsHey inalise , my season is all mess up 🙁 Been busy with flooding in my country now I just start to have time to catch up on things.
Open ControlsSorry to hear. I thought the flooding was over a while ago? Were you involved in the cleaning up?
Open ControlsSome of my relatives were flooded quite badly, so I did offered my place for a tempt shelter for them. Now they start with cleaning up and all the mess is crazy after the flood. But all are better now, just will take a while to get back to where we were. Thanks for your concern mate. 🙂
Open Controls
Crouch was also mentioned...not sure about his price though.
Open Controls
Thanks Hvsauce. I'm thinking about Sturridge? Will he start soon?
Open Controls
Morrison or Fletcher, or maybe Studge if you want someone from the bigger team.
Open ControlsFletcher is in good form atm. just don't know is he will stay hot if I get him in.... Yak was in hot forms too but look what happens when I bring him in lol
Open ControlsMy only concern with Fletcher is that the villa game is a big derby and will be tight. Given also back in goal. Then they have livpool. That will also be tight.
Open ControlsI'll go with Sturridge then, since I don't have any Chelsea coverage in my team atm. Just don't know why he didn't get any minute last game...
Open Controls
No Zamora thanks 🙂
Open Controls
Guys, when's the next scheduled price changes? And how often do thy change?
Open ControlsDid anyone watch the Aston Villa - Everton game ... what did Cerian Clark look like, was he getting forward o polaying deeper mid-field? Thought he'd be a good differential if Villa start keeping cleanies, but am starting to suspect this might be a long shot. Thoughts?
Open ControlsDidnt see the game but a few have been throwing Clarks name around. Villa have a good run of fixtures coming up
Open ControlsI think most of the hype has been about the fact he's OOP in midfield, but if he's playing deep it's not really worth the bother because Villa are struggling to keep a clean-sheet. I'll give him 2 weeks to prove his mettle then change him out for Kompany.
Open Controls
RMWCT proposal:
Krul, Kenny
Caulker, Simpson, Senderos/Brown/Clark, Enrique, Kompany
Silva, Bale, Sessegnon, Sinclair, Moses
RVP, Aguero, Sturridge
team before WC changes:
Krul, Cerny
Caulker, Simpson, Smalling, Enrique, Kompany
Silva, Bale, Donovan, Sinclair, Tiote
RVP, Aguero, Sturridge
thoughts much appreciated!Open Controlsso ...
Kenny > Cerny
Smalling > Senderos/Brown/Clark
Tiote > Moses
Donovan > Sessegnon
I'd say you could make do without those changes for a week or two ... the only change I'd make this week is Tiote out and Sess in. But if you need cash to get the players you want then it makes sense. Also ... Cerny, not sure about that choice!Open ControlsI've already done Donovan--> Sessegnon to get the latter before his price rose
ideally, maybe I'd wait to the end of the window to see what else happens, but with 2 players definitely out (Kompany--suspension and Tiote--Africa Cup of Nations) my bench reinforcements are thin, possibly leaving my team a player or two short (including this current gameweek 21)
worth waiting, or do I make these changes now?Open Controls
Hey guys, just looking for opinions on this potential WC team. Leaves me with 0 in the bank
Vorm, Sorensen
Enrique, Richards, Evans, Senderos, Williams/Santon/Shotton
Valencia, Dempsey, Bale, Silva, Sessegnon
Aguero, Fletcher, RVPOpen Controlslooks very good IMO. playing 5 mids every week?
i'd prefer a newcastle defender for that last spot also.Open ControlsYeah plan to rotate fletcher for the good games or just when I get a good feeling lol. Yeah but is williams or Santon the better option in Newcastle?
Open ControlsIf I'm not mistaken, Williamson more nailed on. Santon is class though but may face some threat from raylor depending on how their midfield situation turns out...
Open Controls
thoughts on silva playing today??? need my 9 points from raylor off thr bench
Open ControlsI suspect he'll start, would be most frustrating if he plays 45 mins for 1 point. I also need him to either start and rip it up, or sit the whole game out and get my Newcastle bench-warmer to replace him.
Fingers, toes and everything else crossed.Open ControlsYou both should have realised the Toon's were favourites to keep a clean sheet.
Open Controls
Any crazy (c) punts for gw 22? Rooney/rvp/kun/bale all up against each other.....
Open Controlssess??
Open ControlsLiverpool defender?
Open ControlsWalters.
Open ControlsLiterally at the point where all my (C) punts in the last 4-5 gws have gone wrong.
I guess I might go the El Nino route, depending on other injuries.Open Controls
How about Woodgate as an alternative to Shotton?
He doesn't come off the bench like Shotton does, and starts whenever he is fit. Although that might be the catch with his fitness issues, but I see he hasn't been registered for Europa. That's some good news.
Thoughts?Open Controlshe gets rested on the regular. i brought him in way early in the season and got burned. too risky IMO.
Open ControlsRested? He has started whenever he has been fit. At 4.2, he can be a good 5th defender in your squad. I'm starting to think he is a better pick than Shotton with Europe looming and the unpredictability about him.
Open Controlsperhaps i was misinformed several months ago. after bringing him in and he didnt feature, I asked around why, and got multiple responses of how he doesnt have the stamina to start every game. that he regularly sits out every 3rd or 4th game.
Open Controls
Please share your opinion on my WC team:
Vorm Krul
Richards Enrique Santon Shotton Caulker
Dempsey Mata Bale Sess Valencia
RVP Aguero FletcherOpen Controlsunsure on Shotton game time. Dont think I would double on the Swans at the back anymore. Front 8 will give you some headaches on who to bench. You would have to rotate Sess and Fletcher I would imagine.
Open Controlsnice midfield especially
Open ControlsChange Santon to Raylor and follow VKEL's advice by downgrading one of your attackers.
Open Controls
Morning all, be nice and give me your views on this dream team 🙂
Lindegaard / Sorensen
- Too risky? Both could get benched.
+ Gives me cheap access to Stoke defence (+ MU for gw23)
Richards / Enrigue / R. Taylor / Simpson / Senderos
- Is R.Taylor nailed on - propably not. Simpson plays 90 mins or not at all, R.Taylor can make a 20 cameo when they got whole team after ACON.
+ Good covers for possible rotation hit weekends.
? Is it really worth to keep Enrigue....
Silva / Bale / Dempsey / Sessegnon / Walters
RVP / Aguero / Sturridge
- Difficult benching decisions (at least for next gw!)
+ Difficult benching decisions (ended this week with 9 men!)
? Do I really dare to go without Nani / Valencia until gw28...
Well this looked much nicer on word......Open ControlsDowngrade an attacker, if you can find value in the bargain bin then take it rather than having extra funds sitting on your bench. Plenty of good options under 5 mil now.
Open ControlsThanks for reply man.
Let's say I'll downgrade Walters / Sess to McClean - what do I gain for that?
I think Dempsey is better bet than Nani for coming weeks. Silva and Bale are keepers, so is Sess atm. With that extra money, can't do much with sturrigde either.
Best thing I can think of is to get ShawX for defence, but can't see myself booting simpson who has been great value all season..Open ControlsBut you can't play them all. Sell one of them, you may not have any use for the cash now but it gives you flexibility.
I would do Walters > Moses/Dyer depending on how the rotation works out e.g. Moses at home to Everton in GW 24 while Dempsey is away to City.Open Controls
Get Evans!!! Everybody on WC should have Evans! 4.5 for a Man Utd's best defender ATM
Open ControlsI would also go Valencia instead of Dempsey
Open Controls
- Keep Enrique, Liverpool is playing 5 at the back -___-
- you should be fine without Nana/Valencia with that MF on hand.
- front 8 looks un-bench-able this GW!!!Open ControlsMate, I have a similar midfield, and I think you will find in the coming weeks that with such a strong attacking fantasy team, Walters and Dempsey can be rotated. They are good home players, especially Walters. He's very ordinary in away matches.
Open Controls
Is ben arfa worth keeping?
Open ControlsLOL
Open Controlsno, Cabaye will hop right back to claim his spot next week.
Open ControlsHow stupid did he look sitting atop that stretcher getting carried off? He could walk fine a few minutes earlier, straight after the tackle. Carried on like a clown the whole time too...
Open Controlslol I doubt he would have faked a serious injury and gone off just so it didn't look like he was faking it
Open Controls"..Pardew....more importantly - is confident that the French midfielder will be straight back into action.
"He looks okay to me," said the boss, following the final whistle.
"The doc seems to think we might scan him, we might not"
Miracle recovery by the looks of it...Open Controls
Cabaye loves a canoe.
Open Controls
Nah.
Open Controls
Yeah, Bernard Tomic! Through to the next round in a 5 set thriller!
Open Controlsanyone going with a more expensive defense, say with hart in goal?
Open Controlssorensen/lindegaard for me
im so crazy i dropped vorm/krul for them!!!Open Controls
Very excited about the Rooney assist update. This shit should be live on SSN.
Open ControlsWho to Captain Next week??
Walters(WBA) or Sessegnon(SWA) or Dempsey(Newcastle) ??
also have Mata,bale,Rvp,Sturridge..Open ControlsEnrique/Moses
or
Kelly/Walters
?
Thx in advance for helpOpen Controlsthese options are for my 3 normal defenders and 3 normal bench options:
Richards/Enrique/Raylor means bench of Kelly, De Laet, Surman --option A
Richards/Enrique/Shawcross means bench of Kelly, Caulker, Surman or Caulker, Santon, Ferguson(lol) ---options B1 and B2
Richards/Raylor/Shawcross means bench of Kelly, Caulker, Dyer ---option C
i know ferguson is instant ridicule, but a backline of city, pool, newcastle (all with assist potential), stoke and fulham may render a backup attacking option unnecessary.Open Controlsfree green arrow for anyone's input. 🙂
Open Controls
Surprised Raylor's going under the radar.
5.2 mil for an OOP Newcastle defender. On FKs & could be on corners (depending on Cab's fitness)
What do you people reckon? Worth the extra 1 mil over a Simpson/Santon?Open ControlsIs he still ahead of Santon at LB though? When Newcastle's other midfielders return, will R Taylor maintain his place in the starting line-up? Too many doubts.
Open ControlsRaylor played at RM in the last 2, where his only competitors are Obertan & Barfa, both of whom have been fit. Santon seems to be preferred at LB, yes.
Open Controls
Right? Esp if Cab is out, Raylor could be the shit.
Open Controls
5.3 ATM, probably 5.4 before deadline. get him in!!
im struggling to fit him in without losing enrique because i think he is worth the money ATM, should be at least 3 games before his position comes into question again.Open Controlsnever been concerned about prices. transfers only closer to the deadline, no wonder i've such a shit team value. lol.
Open Controls
Rate my wildcard team draft;
Vorm Krul
Enrique Richards Cahill Evans Senderos
Silva Bale Dempsey Sessegnon Walters
RVP Aguero Fletcher
0.4m in the bank
Please recommend improvements that could be madeOpen Controlsno united attack scary. i know fixtures arent favourable, but there will be points from the reds in attack, maybe not so much in defense.
Open ControlsNot favourable....I don't agree...Ars/Stoke....they don't come easier than that....
Hallo Rooney(c).Open Controlsfor WC im looking ahead next 6.
arsenal, liverpool, tottenham and chelsea? sure arsenal can concede, chelsea can concede, but still those 4 fixtures in 6 is good?Open ControlsSorry, Im just looking next 2....Rooney will become Kun in gw 24 for me....
Open Controls
Wonder how much Rooney (c) will change if both his assists are removed 😉
Open Controls
For starters....you benching Bale or Silva this week....?
Open Controls
You call 34.5% ownership under the radar? 😀
He will be in my Wildcard team, wish I could bring him in sooner, but I got other problems.Open ControlsWell hello there Mr.Nani, and welcome to my 'never again' list. Please take a seat next to Defoe and Torres, don't worry you won't be going anywhere for a while.
Open Controlsreally? going to lump nani in with torres? thats ludicrous. the last time torres did anything, nuclear plants in japan were working smoothly. nani's gone a few weeks. he will deliver.
Open ControlsIts not so much that, my 'never again' list implies those players that I bring in for certain game/periods who under perform so bad.
Tbh i don't want to have to deal with the will he won't he of Nani making big returns. Its too stress full, Torres and Defoe (albeit from previous seasons) fit into this too.Open Controlshopefully nani will make your "never DOUBT again" list soon. 🙂
Open ControlsThat would not be unprecedented. 😛
You can see my frustration though right? Brought him in after 16pt haul, nothing since. The week I decide to drop Silva and keep Nani, Silva gets 3 assists.
I mean Nani only played 68 mins, was he hauled off because he was poor?Open Controlsthis is why nani and silva need to just stay put in your squad. you could get lucky and move them in/out at the right times. or you can just take the good with the bad and at the end of the year have two of the top, if not THE two top scoring mids' points. still 9 other positions to tinker with. ok, 8 when you throw in rvp.
Open ControlsI am certainly making an effort to be more gradual with my team. The last two weeks I have forced myself to only do one transfer even though I have wanted to do more. I think i'm better for it.
Nani will stay for now, as Ade-->??? is my transfer this week. Which could mean he stay for the week prior to my WC. I mean I have to let Nani work his notice period before he goes right? 😀Open Controls
Nani will find form again soon. None of the popular mids got great scores this week.
Who you getting in instead?Open ControlsWell when I had a choice to drop Silva or Nani, I chose Silva. Terrible decision I know but there you have it.
To me Valencia is offering more potential for less price at the moment. Frustrating players are my pet hate.Open ControlsI've also dropped silva prior to gw 21 with my WC. It's a chance I took with him being injured and facing Spurs/Eve in next 2.
Nani could have scored in first couple of seconds vs Bolton. I'm still happy having Nani/Rooney for Arsenal/Stoke.
Will swap one of them to Silva/Kun in gw 24. Im not bothered about the value lost on Silva.Open ControlsYes, I have plans for my WC and i'm trying to stick to it. Seems like Nani will stay for now, as I want to swap Ade for this coming GW.
Open Controls
Sometimes I like to forget about these players in a kind of naughty step type treatment.
Open ControlsThis.
Open Controls
Well I have played the WC - could anyone offer advice?
Vorm / Sorensen
BAE / Enrique / Richards / Kelly / Santon
Bale / Silva / Walters / Sess / Valencia
RVP / Studge / Aguero
And going to plump for sess captain this week too! Touch me.Open ControlsOne man U player allowed in ur squad besides Rooney - who?
Open Controls- Open Controls
money no object? or best value for the money?
Open Controlsstill nani for me. will get flak for it now, but lets see how we stand in a month. (Bookmarks page)
Open Controls
Evans/Linde Gas = great value!!
Open Controls
Valencia at the moment - even if Rooney was included.
Open Controls
Ade-->Bent for a potential 2 GW punt pre WC.
Did he look OK at the weekend? wol and QPR coming up next, what do you think?Open ControlsNo. Villa vs Wolves is a big derby. Go back in history and you will notice this fixture is always tight.
It was 0-0 at villa park earlier in the season.Open Controls+Googol.
Hence, Given over Vorm for me!Open ControlsInteresting, thanks for the heads up.
Out of interest then, any 2 GW forward choices < 9.6m?Open Controlswho would win in a fight between the girl with the dragon tattoo and the girl with the pearl earring?
Open Controls
someone asked about torres as a punt. i said, no, get bent. And I meant the player, not the slang version that means F* off.
Open ControlsThat might have to become my new team name. 😀
Open Controls
Also (sorry for another comment but it IS a different subject) the article above mentioned potential reviews to Rooney's assists. When would that take place if at all?
Those two assist drops would be handy for me to catch a rival who still has Silva to play (potentially).Open ControlsRukawa - answered your question on page 17
Open ControlsTeam Linked. 1 FT this week. Brown to Jevans? Plan to wildcard as late as possible
Open ControlsEvans away to Arsenal? Nope.
Open Controls
Well I've been watching Torres very closely the last few weeks, and I've seen enough to warrant me being impressed. Inherent class, finding his touch, nice fixture this week means I brought him in for a one week punt before WC'ing.
Oh, did I mention he'll be my Captain this week too?
*Archer voice* Yuuuuuuup.Open Controlslol do you enjoy getting 4 points from your captain?
Open Controlslol do you enjoy stating your predictions as fact?
Open Controlslol I didn't say he would get 4 points! Just asked if you enjoyed 4 point captains!
I assume you do not 😉Open ControlsTouche 😉
I so hoped you would say he'd get 4 points. I fond the amount of points scored by a player is is inherently contingent on the amount of detractors he has. More naysayers= more points....Open Controls
It's GW3 all over again
Open Controls
Ok, I've had it with Ramsey. He was woeful yesterday. Contemplating the below 4 pointer - thoughts?
Westwood & Ramsey -> Mignolet & Sess. Would then bench Ruddy, Wilko, Reo-Coker and Adebayor this week.
Westwood, Ruddy
BAE, JEvans, Simpson, Caulker, Wilkinson
Nani, Bale, Dempsey, Ramsey, Reo-Coker
RVP, Rooney, Adebayor
Bank 0.2mOpen Controlsyou insist on holding onto adebayor? i think between his form, spurs fixtures, you already have bale....4 point hits that involve keepers rarely pay dividends. Id downgrade ade and upgrade ramsey to justify the hit and just take 1 or 2 points from Ruddy. maybe a save point or two.
dont want to WC either i suppose?Open ControlsWC TIME!
