Is now the time to give up on the premium strikers – we’re looking at you Harry – and throw our cash at a “power five” midfield?

It’s a big question that requires a crack team to answer.

Unfortunately, we only have the ScoutCast crew available, though we did manage to pull off a big loan signing to help us out.

Jay Eggersdorf – the current “live” Hall of Fame number one joins Jonty, Andy and Az as we take on the big topic of the day.

In the middle of another stunning season – Jay reveals his strategy behind his recent move to shed Kane on the back of another impressive points tally.

Then on 44 minutes, Jay’s phone is almost drained of life. Tickled by the on-camera events that follow, Jonty and Az struggle to hold it together to discuss the recruitment of Paul Pogba and the merits of West Ham investment before we look ahead to Gameweek 19.

It’s an intense 90-minutes, with the frivolity of this “festive” ScoutCast limited to silly jumpers and hats. Though we each get the opportunity to reveal our Christmas wish.

Just one wafer-thin hat-trick please Harry.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Please rate my WC team, looking for a strong bench over xmas and can move aguero & lingard out for kane & 5.0m in DGW

    Pope (elliot)
    Otamendi, Christensen, Jones (ogbonna, kenny)
    salah, hazard, sterling, richarlison (lingard)
    Aguero, Firminio (dcl)

Everton fixtures are not that great so I wouldn't dbl Everton (DCL / Kenny). Maybe Kenny to Chilwell. Coleman also coming back soon so Kenny's place under threat sooner or later

For Morata owners. Is it really worth keeping him ? What if Willian or Pedro performs really well against Everton.

Will Conte drop one of them and bring Morata straight into the lineup against Brighton?

I think so - Conte prefers 3-5-2 and Chelsea have been poor without him. Could quite easily see them both being dropped.

I took Morata out when he got injured. Likely to get him back again after suspension, he looked sharp when he came on against Saints, and scored from the bench against the Cherries. Will also be well rested so not really a rotation risk

TBF, MUN have DDG + Jones back now with Mou manager. LIV have two dodgy enough keepers with Lovren, Klaven & Matip with Klopp manager!
I certainly think LIV will concede the most going forward!

Do you think that Pep will manage Aguero’s minutes like this over Xmas

GW19 Start and then bench him after MC are 2 goals up
GW20 Bench and then to come on if MC need a goal
GW21 Total Rest or Start and then bench him after MC are 2 goals up

Zanka , Kenny, Dann or Mee for Tarkowski? Need them for GW19 (this GW) and GW21, Ogbonna will play most other weeks.

    Zanka - sot, BUR
    Kenny - CHE, bou
    Dann - swa, MCI
    Mee - TOT, hud

Could do Hünemeier>Mariappa as well and keep Tarkowski, Tarkowski has to drop twice for me to lose value.

    A. Ward to West Ham 4.4 def plus silva to sterling. For hit.

    C. Save

I currently have ward, long, silva, morata that are not playing so I possibly won’t have a full team if I save.
