I don't think Arnie should be listed as a striker tbh....you could make the same argument for Zaha as well. Mind you, it would give us a few more options!!

Diabaté and Quaner to midfield. Both of them only play on the wing, and their teams use an advanced central player behind the striker.

Delph should be a defender if City signs a Touré replacement and no new left back.

Amartey should be a defender if Leicester don't sign a new right back.

Arnautovic - Forward, Milner - Midfield and Young - Defender are pretty obvious.

Rashford

Not great FPL options but Delph and Wan-Bissaka to defenders looks fairly obvious, Rashford to a midfielder perhaps to mirror Martial/Sanchez?

Josh King - mid

Ryan Fraser played quite a bit as right wing back for Bournemouth, could be a stretch though.

The transfer window is being moved back to GW1, but GW1 will presumably be at about the usual date.
I expect the FPL launch date (with the new player prices) to be a few days after the World Cup Final.

Sometimes a few prices get leaked or announced in advance, but I don't see why the transfer window move should affect either the FPL launch date or the announcement of new prices.

It should however mean that we don't have to worry so much about real-life transfers that take place between GW1 and the end of the transfer window.

I have my hair pretty much shaved all off anyway, so bald.

It’s good taking a few calculated hits early on to jump on the bandwagons/catch the price rises.

4) I’ve played my WC in GW2 or 3 every season I’ve played. Always served me well 🙂

All others can be overcome by better planning and patience

1) 100% - of course hits can be profitable but in general they're -ev. It's more that if you find yourself having to take lots of hits then you're simply not managing your team well. There will be managers out there with the in form players at the right times without taking hits. You can't realistically expect to win with -100.

2) Ignore rivals. Unless they're serious or they have a lucky season you should be smashing them.

3) Preference. I think I'll keep at least one defender slot for a premium next season. It'll depend on prices/transfer window.

4) Not really realistic. I haven't liked early WCs in the past (GW12 this season) but that was partly due to the overlapping transfer window making life difficult. If the window closes before the season starts then an early WC might actually be strongest.

I took 14 hits. 9 resulted in a green arrow. 5 a red

Plus freshened squad and probably saved money, so hits not such a bad thing if used when needed

Tosun seems an obvious one tbh. Kolasinac very much depends on who they appoint - if Arteta I expect him to become an even worse option. Sanchez should get better but I'm going to boldly predict, won't. Siggy's a quality player and has it in him.

If it makes you feel better Virg I dropped 50k places in the last 3 weeks! Would have been around where you ended up if I'd stayed consistent (was 20k after GW35)

As long as you enjoy the journey then the final result should only serve as a bonus.
