Werner if the extra 0.5 over Jesus isn’t an issue. Really splitting hairs, but I think Switzerland have a better def now than any team Germany play in groups.

Lewandoski has the best goals per game from qualifying. It's only Cavani's fixtures and James as a last day captain that are preventing me from getting him.

Personally, of those, I have Jesus - most of my drafts have had Werner but not my current one, and occasionally Lewa has been thrown in.

Mbappe not as good as the others

    1. Epic Fail

There are all sorts of tactics floating about. That is one of them.

      1. Richd
        • 13 Years
        7 years, 5 months ago

Yeah I suppose there is no wrong answer.

Earlier weeks you can get a huge differential but would have the option to change captain more times.

Late rounds all the teams are the same but you'll be guaranteed the best of that template.

        1. Epic Fail
          • 15 Years
          7 years, 5 months ago

I don't think it's a good tactic though, but people are doing it.

Yeah. I'm more tempted with bench boost actually.

Although I guess thats more a round of 16 thing. Meh.

Semi final and final round there are only 2 games to choose from whereas in the group stages there are 4 or 5 different days. So it much easier to optimise the captain pick in the early rounds because you can change it 4 times compared to once. Therefore I'm saving my chip until the semi final round.

      1. Richd
        • 13 Years
        7 years, 5 months ago

Although... everyone has the same team by then. So less chance of a differential getting a haul

        1. Ben Mee Over A Table
          • 13 Years
          7 years, 5 months ago

But at least you get the best one of the lot as your captain. Almost everyone may own the highest scoring player in those gameweeks, but it will still be difficult to pick the right captain.

    4. Ben Mee Over A Table
      • 13 Years
      7 years, 5 months ago

Max captain is much more useful for semi final/final round imo. Fewer opportunities to get it right.
