I've been watching the RMTs and the evolving template. Al Dawsari and more recently Belhanda have been getting super popular. Can someone tell me why that is? Or do you think ppl are just copying who they see others picking?

    1. Pierce34
      • 10 Years
      7 years, 5 months ago

Copying of course. I haven't got the faintest clue who they even are 😛

I just picked Al Dawsari in order to have some interest in the opening game.

Probably casuals just copying. Had to google them when I first saw them and i don’t have them in my team

I mean sure they're cheap and they probably start, but they play for terrible teams and neither has done much in his career. Belhanda is hardly a break-out candidate either, at 28 or whatever he is.

Morocco are far from terrible. Outside bet to reach the quarters imo.

I have skipped past every RMT without looking and i do not have Al Dawsari if that helps.

Herd mentality seems to be a thing on this site so i suspect copying could be the answer.

I would like to challenge managers with Al Dawsari on their teams to pick him out of a line up. 😉

    Cavani Lukaku Jesus

For the McD’s game you need to pick the country you support but the US(which is where I live) isn’t there so should I choose Argentina(want Messi to win something) or Iceland (loved them during the Euros)

My last minute tinkering comes down to this:

    Cavani, Eriksen, Isco, Jesus

    VS

    Messi, Neymar, Meza, Ljajic

Having the safety blanket of those two and then some decent midfield punts could be huge. I just have a bad feeling that Messi is gonna run riot. He's well rested from Barca going out of the CL early/Argies not playing many friendlies. Iceland have conceded 8 goals in their last 3 friendlies too.

    1. Bad Kompany
      • 7 Years

How long will you need Meza for? He may lose his spot. Otherwise if you think Messi will run riot then go for it

Yeah worried about Messi too. Considering starting with him and using my FT to get Neymar next round, but then I'd only have 4 good captains.

I'm currently keen on an in-between.

Got Messi but keeping Jesus for that captain slot.

Captains are: Ziyech, Messi, Jesus, Lukaku, JRod

Yeah, that could actually work, I like it. Jesus might be worth the 3m less than Neymar too. Dilemmas :/

I guarantee I can find you 0.5m. The difference in both is quite large and hard to make up.

            Muslera, Uzoho
            Kimmich, Meunier, Danilo, Trippier, Pavard
            J. Rodriguez, Ziyech, Carrasco, X, X
            Lukaku, Cavani, Mbappe

The only player I would consider downgrading is Ziyech but I really don't want to do that. Currently on Ljajic and Al Dawsari and don't think Meza is worth weakening my defence for.

    Lloris (Uzoho)
    Miranda/Marquinhos, Pavard, Godin (Hegazy, Cedric)
    Eriksen, Ziyech, Rodriguez, Meza (Carrasco)
    Jesus, Mbappe (C), Werner

Does anyone have their C options detailed day to day...?
I was just writing mine down so i had a bit of clarity

Can you change the C options after each game, or is it only after the whole day of matches is complete (at the end of the third game that day)?

    Mine is a bit avg.
    Guedes / Isco
    Messi
    Danilo / Kimminich / Carrasco
    Lewandowski

Coutinho in that case. Easier fixtures imo

    Last draft for the night

    Muslera/Uzoho

Suarez or Cavani and spend the 1.0 elsewhere (eg danilo to Marcelo, upgrade Sabaly/Inui)

Personally I’d have mbappe over Griezmann due to price.

Would maybe go for Trippier over Walker as Walker likely to play CB rather than RB

Not digging the Mooy pick tbh. There are probably better options

I think you need some brazil attack in there. Could get coutinho/Willian in for dimaria, or Jesus in for Perisic from downgrading some of your others.

      I’d avoid Navas also

    Muslera
    Kimmich - Trippier - Meunier
    Eriksen - Coutinho - Isco - Meza
    Jesus - Mbappe - Lukaku

    Bench:
    Uzoho - Sabaly - Idowu - CSanchez

Which scores more, at least for the first 2 rounds? (Worried about going w/o Messi is why I’m asking)...

    A) lukaku Meunier (current)
    B) Messi 5.0
