That's a lateral move, probably unnecessary compared to the comfort of two transfers next week when the unexpected happens. Also, we could give better advice if you listed your whole team. We all have a blemish or two on our teams.

I would recommend saving your FT in GW1 unless there are injuries/pressing transfers. The above is a luxury move for a 5th mid.
      Very useful having 2FTs GW2

Referee appointments for GW2, figures in brackets are penalties per match for last season plus GW1.
Cardiff City v Newcastle United - Craig Pawson (0.28)
    Everton v Southampton - Lee Mason (0.28)
Leicester City v Wolves - Mike Dean (0.23)
Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham - Anthony Taylor (0.21)
West Ham United v AFC Bournemouth - Stuart Attwell (0.07)
    Chelsea v Arsenal - Martin Atkinson (0.10)
    Burnley v Watford - Paul Tierney (0.06)
Man City v Huddersfield Town - Andre Marriner (0.14)
Brighton v Man Utd - Kevin Friend (0.41)
Crystal Palace v Liverpool - Michael Oliver (0.26)

Brighton-Man Utd win the penalty raffle that is Kevin Friend, in 22 matches he has awarded 9 penalties, 8 have been given to home teams including Bournemouth's spot kick in GW1.

Jota to Neves to free up cash only
Tomkins to Shaw for a 4 point hit that I think i’ll Earn back this weekend as Shaw outscores Tomkins (Peltier was my other alternative)

Not the start I was hoping for but I scored 87 so can afford a 4 point hit without falling too much

No changes now for 2 GW’s

basic rule - never take a hit for a defender

you would need a CS for shaw to break even and more likely you’ll lose points.

There is a chance of rotation with city but I think it’s a good week to do it. Aguero more likely to start and think palace will give Liverpool a game

    2. Agger

Thing is with Aguero, he's one of only a handful of players who can score 4 or 5 goals in a game so there's always a chance, he has to be captain this weekend if you own him.

Looks like Jones is dropping in price tonight. Arsenal fixtures look promising after this weekend: WHU cdf new EVE WAT ful. Bellerin would be my preferred choice, though would be tempted to bench this weekend. If Jones wasn't dropping, I wouldn't rush this. Rest of defence, (Mendy, Robertson, Daniels, Wan-Bissaka).

Another member has mentioned Holebas which would give me 1m itb. But not keen on these fixtures: CRY TOT MUN ful ars BOU.

    Any advice appreciated.

Not sure how nailed bellerin is with the new signings tbh. Probably ok but there is now a slight rotation risk. The rest of your defence is solid so i’d be tempted to hold

He is there to give bellerin a kick up the arse which would be most easily done by benching him for a few weeks. Agree that it is not very likely, but is the first time in about 4 years that bellerin has had any sort of competition

Thats a risk if he drops to 5.4 im effectively looking at Shaw or a 4.5. Would usually hold - I agree. Daniels has till GW 4 till he becomes a risk of rotation too.

Pogba is a bully stealing Sanchez's penalty and then goes and does a Hollywood run up and only just squeezed it in. I never wanted a player to miss so much in my life.

Wilson is a numpty stealing Pens off King_Glad he missed.

    Richarlison

I feel like he is the bargain bandwagon to jump on. Any advice on when I should go for him?
I could get him right now for Jota, could be a great move, or maybe wait til next week? (waiting doesnt gain me much, as I have money in the bank, and im gonna be trading a player for the same cost so i dont need 2 transfers to make it happen.

I can't get to grips with the amount of people looking to ship out the likes of Eriksen and King etc for Richarlison, Neves, I even saw Kante. It's all gonna end in tears when the player you've sold hauls ass and the player you bought in trying to chase last week's points blanks. Probably sounds like a rant but it's confusing that people don't seem to learn.

    1. Gazpilicueta
      • 11 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

All of the reasons for getting Richarlison Pre season are still true now. is it chasing points to go for him now? or is it predicting that he we will do well with a manager he gets on with, in a team that suits him. was he a fluke 1 gameweek scorer? everyone who get his 14 points last week dont think so, because he was worth a spot in their team.

      1. Brosstan
        • 11 Years
        7 years, 3 months ago

Why didnt you have him GW1? Nothing has changed just as you said, except he had a fluke 100% goal scoring ratio from his attempts. Classic knee jerk.

    2. diesel001
      • 9 Years
      7 years, 3 months ago

You have to give it 3 GWs IMO. Watch them and see if they are performing. Eriksen looked ok. King was iffy. Neves and Kante look average picks. But one game is not enough to say.

I understand your point about Neves and Kante. But not for Richarlison. It was mostly a 50/50 decision before the start of the season. Jota, Richarlison, Milivojevic, Pedro... all of them are good picks. But Richarlison seemed to be the best of the lot. I know I am trying to explain my own transfer. But, it is not knee-jerk by any means. In a parallel universe, I could have as well started with Richarlison.
