Scarred by the resting of City duo Sergio Aguero and David Silva, Gameweek 27 will go down as one of the key periods in the Fantasy season as vice captains kicked in to gift or rob Fantasy managers of spoils. Sunday’s events didn’t fail to add their own twists with red cards, missed penalties and the return to form of Clint Demspey alongside the extraordinary contribution of Pavel Pogrebnyak.

Our members can now pick through all the statistics from the Gameweek and, as always, we’ve picked out some eye-catching numbers to digest. Of course, we’ve also included our prediction of where the Fantasy Premier League bonus will go…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

With Sessengon & Cattlemore out the Liverpool game, i doubt Sunderland would pose any decent threat to score; makes me wanna double up on Pool defence as Everton are woeful at attacking too. Back to Sunderland, with Cattlemore suspended Liverpool will have more of the ball (Adam&Gerrard) who shall feed Suarez into many opportunities. Also, Evertons back 4 are more clueless than AVB so Suarez will also have many opportunities there. Just saying.

plus you have 2 nice fixtures after that, I think it could work. If it doesn't it's easy to get Ba or Ade in for him.

2-0 shutout of Chelsea, 1-0 shutout of City, 0-2 loss at Spurs, 0-1 loss at Arsenal, for matches against "big" teams since start of December. 15 goals allowed in the 17 matches since start of November.

And how exactly are you going to back that up? I'm pretty sure we've scored about as many as we've conceded against Liverpool in the past few seasons....

I was at Goodison this season when we shut them out for 60-70 minutes even with only ten men, which should never have happened....

Just for the record, here are the past 5 seasons' derby results:

            2011-12
            Everton 0-2 Liverpool
            2010-11
            Liverpool 2-2 Everton
            Everton 2-0 Liverpool
            2009-10
            Everton 0-2 Liverpool
            Liverpool 1-0 Everton
            2008-9
            Everton 0-2 Liverpool
            Liverpool 1-1 Everton
            Liverpool 1-1 Everton (FA Cup)
Everton 1-0 Liverpool (FA Cup replay)
            2007-8
            Everton 1-2 Liverpool
            Liverpool 1-0 Everton

In fact, the last time either side scored 3 in a derby was in 2006, when Everton beat Liverpool 3-0

While I will agree that Liverpool have had the better of the derbies over the years, and that Everton's attack has been clueless (hell, when haven't they been in the past decade?), our defence has not been too shabby at all 🙂

i'd love to know what goes on in abramovich's head. i reckon the man is a sociopath. surely, it was in avp's brief that it was going to be a transitional period, you can't do that in a season.

Not happy at all about it, unless it paves the way for Mourinho to come back 😉

Performances against the better sides - Valencia, City, United, Tottenham - show that when the players fancy it they can play to an acceptable level, and it makes me think that the biggest problem at the club is the attitude of the players.

I wish AVB had gone full out and stuck to his guns, not playing the likes of Lampard and Drogba at all.

He'll have a brilliant managerial career elsewhere.

Roman has been more of a pain than a help for us the last couple of seasons. Will be interesting to see what his next move is. He's probably locked up in talks with Big Mick as we speak...

His is 95% of the reason CFC are in this mess. Yet laughably no fan what's to admit to it because there is no easy solution. Apart from giving Mourinho 300m to spend in 2003 he's made gaff after gaff after gaff.

Thanks to 4Vetti and Hippo earlier. Looking for a few more thoughts:

I am losing Valencia tonight before his fall. I really want Skrtel over Enrique as a differential. Thinking to keep Ba despite Pogrebynak’s and Yakubu’s flirtatious stares in my direction, he easily could have had 6pts today again. So what to do:

1 Aguero, Valencia —->Rooney, Yaya (-4) (allows for easy switch to Valencia when he is fit. I have silva already though!)
    2 Aguero, BAE —>Rooney, Enrique (-4)
3 Aguero, Valencia, BAE —-> Rooney, Yaya, Skrtel (-8)

Keep Enrique, Skrtel wont outscore him tbh because he can't push up as much as Carra is absolutely shat at defending and will always need help.
Keep Valencia although his price fall, Utd have good fixtures and if he keeps his place he'll be worth it.
Do Aguero to Rooney if you want..

    Team at the moment is:

    Vorm, Krul
    Richards, Raylor, Taiwo, Shotton, Kelly
    Silva, Bale, Dempsey, Mata, McClean
    RVP, Ba, Aguero

I'm thinking Aguero, Mata, Raylor and Taiwo out for Rooney, Ryo, Skrtel and Enrique.8 point hit
The following week I'll be doing Richards to Evans. If Ryo flops I have enough money to bring Valencia in anytime from GW30.

    Thoughts on this?

weird is one way to describe, from despair yesterday to joy through Siggy and a cheeky vc of Dempsey I have dragged myself back up. Only one guy will outscore me in ML, he'll do it by 1 point and is 250 behind me, he got 11 out, me 9.

      On that note
