The Fantasy Football Scout community have been hard at it again over the last seven days, producing the usual superb array of articles and tables as reflect on Gameweek 6 and look ahead to Gameweek 7.

The hot topics, meanwhile, have ranged from Harry Kane to the psychology of Fantasy managers.

Our latest Community Round-up feature also looks over the various tournaments and mini-leagues that involve FFS users.

The Hottest Topics

Rewind back to the beginning of the week and the FFS community were sharing their tales of joy and woe in our regular Rough with the Smooth hot topic.

We also asked if any of you were interested by three in-form premium forwards and were interested to hear about your thoughts on heavy hitters in defence.

Legomane asked if captaincy was losing its lustre, while one candidate for the armband in Gameweek 7 – Harry Kane – was the focus of a hot topic started by Rotation’s Alter Ego.

“RAE” also helpfully trawled through the Scoutcast again to bring us the timestamps of each section.

We have yet to have a Premier League sacking this season – but this hot topic pondered which managers seem most at risk.

Speculation on which player would be the breakout star of Gameweek 7 was rife, while G-Whizz looked ahead to this weekend too with his Doosra Stats, clean sheet probabilities and fixture odds.

FPL “culture” was the focus of two more hot topics: Irbox‘s look at the psychology of Fantasy managers and NOMONEY‘s request for an update on the common abbreviations.

@ocprodigy rounded up the results of the Scout Picks Challenge for Gameweek 5 and Gameweek 6, meanwhile.

Community Articles

Two to bring you this week, both of them regular features:

Community Tables

Here is just a small selection of the excellent array of public tables created this week and available in the Members’ area:

Remember, to see your table featured here (if that’s what you want!) please ensure you include a description explaining the purpose of it.

Community Tournaments

Cosmin Rotaru still leads our public FFS League but has dropped a couple of places to 14th in the world rankings.

Andrew McKinnon still leads our FFS Members League after playing his Wildcard, and is now up to 34th overall.

RedLightning has regained the lead in FFS Mods & Cons after playing his Wildcard. He finally got points for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who has sat on his bench all season up until Gameweek 6. The Crystal Palace man came in for Marko Arnautovic.

Ashley Humphrey is the new leader of RedLightning’s Top 10k Any Season mini-league and is up to 28th overall, without using any chips. This is Ashley’s 13th season, with two top 10k finishes (1181st in 2012/13 and 4424th in 2014/15).

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that CALM will be the charity we will donate to after our next charity tournament.

The Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is an award-winning charity dedicated to preventing male suicide, the single biggest killer of men under the age of 45 in the UK. In 2016, 76% of all UK suicides were male.

You can find all details about the event HERE.

If Alli is out for next few GWs, will Lamela start? and is he a better pick than Moura?

I don't think so. If he is indeed injured, I would expect to see a 3-5-2 with Sanchez at the back and Son up front, leaving Dembele, Moura, and Dier in the midfield three.

Kante to Moura for a -4?

    Exact cash.

Then I don’t need to go AWB and PBA Double at the back. Even tho the last two weeks it’s worked.

Apparently Donker didn't look anything special in the league cup the other day, but I didn't watch or see the manager comments. You're probably right that he could well take game time from Bennett in the future.

Dendoncker hasn't shown yet that he'll take Bennet's place. Was bought to do that but the chocolate-maker han't really taken to English football.

I've gone for Bennett but he's usually on my bench so I went for the cheapest option.

I wouldn't double on Wolves defence.

They currently have one of the more solid defences in the league (particularly of the budget options) and a nice run of fixtures, plus I can rotate when they play Arsenal/Spurs. Who would you suggest as another budget option? I was looking at Duffy and Yedlin potentially, as their fixtures clear up in the next couple of weeks.

I'd be biased towards Duffy! The beauty of Bennett and Bissaka were their price and Bissau a is unreal, a starter for now. Consider another, hopefully will still be, Irish international, Dec land Rice, 4.4m. Sweeper but better when Hammers fixtures ease off.

Cheers, I'll definitely keep an eye on Rice over the next couple of weeks then. I'm still put off by Brighton's lack of a clean sheet this season, but you can't argue with Duffy's offensive contributions (although I'd prefer if he could save it for the good fixtures, rather than when he would be on my bench). With Pereira being dropped last game and Leicester looking about as watertight as a sieve I'll probably be bringing in another budget option soon anyway!

As unlikely as this sounds I'm gonna start Pereira!

I transferred in Kane just half an hour ago, because I wasn't sure if son and Moura were nailed. After Alli's injury, I feel pathetic especially when I waited for the entire weak, losing value on Salah and Kamara just to be absolutely sure. It's going to be tough tomorrow, considering I could have had Laca and Son and now its gonna be Kane and Hughes. 🙁

Son isn't nailed on. Kane will get you a lot more points than Lacazette. Kamara is fodder, and low end fodder.

If you had both who would you captain:

            A) Kane
            B) Aguero

Aguero. Judge Kane this week to see if he and Spurs are captain material vs Cardiff.

(Tbh, Shane Long is captain material vs Cardiff...)

Are we seeing a complete shift in the way Spurs play this season? They've always been a bit of a Christmas tree with Kane up top (as the fairy 😎 ) and Alli, Eriksen and the wingbacks (as supporting baubles). On the counter, their play has always been quite narrow, only once possession has been established do they look to the wingbacks for delivery into Kane / Alli.

Due to injuries, fitness, world cup etc. Spurs have been using Moura's pace and perhaps Kane has been a little more withdrawn? With Eriksen and possibly Alli out this week, might we see a 433 with Dier, Dembele and Winks or even a 523. Either way, Poch is likely to try and accommodate two from Lamela, Son and Moura. Is that going to be good for Kane or will he be isolated? It's not difficult to see a scenario where the wide players provide the in-behind threat (similar to Salah and Mané) and Kane drops a little deeper to link play.

I'd imagine that vs Huddersfield, Spurs will dominate possession and they'll be almost 253 at times. Can't see Kane being isolated in that case, but they'll need Son and Moura looking to tee up him up.

The way the fixtures are, it looks set for Kane to haul, Aguero to blank, and a mass exodus to Kane ahead of the Cardiff game 👿

Son's greedy. Haven't seen much of Moura and Lamela but they don't seem quite the eriksen type team player either. So yeah could be interesting how that mix works, and impact on Kane's pts output.

                  Mane to:

                  A) Richarlison
                  B) Hazard

I have 3 pool players so one of them has to go for now.
