The penultimate fixture in Gameweek 28 brought us yet another dramatic finale involving Arsenal as Arsene Wenger’s side bundled a winning goal at the death to deny a battling Newcastle.

Statistically, there were some outstanding performances on show which we will break down in a moment, along with our prediction for the Fantasy Premier League bonus points.

Firstly, there was also a dispute involving the assist for the winning goal. The assist for the touch on Theo Walcott’s cross was first awarded to Robin Van Persie and then removed and handed to Aaron Ramsey. It’s unclear whether Ramsey did indeed get a clear touch on the cross before it was blocked by the defender in the box but, interestingly, Opta have also confirmed a Ramsey touch on Walcott’s cross. While this goal and the award of the assist could yet be reviewed by the Press Association, right now it sits with Ramsey – denying Walcott his second assist on a night where he sparkled on the right flank.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Kenny Dalglish: "The club is now where it was before – each one for each one, everybody in it together....There are many ways you can judge a season and the best way is progress at the football club as a whole. I don't think it necessarily relates to trophies or points.

"You can measure it by how the club has progressed and where it is, from the first team to the kids. Off the pitch, especially, the club is a lot stronger than what it was. You go off the pitch and see how much money we are getting through sponsorship and kit deals"You look around here [at Melwood] and most of the people have got a smile on their faces now"

Kenny has officially lost it. the Men in white coats are on their way.

I find it sort of funny the amount of fans from other teams who point out that Kenny has done a worse job than Woy, and that he is making the club slide even more into mediocrity.
I'm not a Liverpool fan, and I'm more than happy to see 'King' Kenny feck up that club. Everyone should sit back and enjoy it.

Unless you're a Liverpool fan of course.

The first line is enough to realise he is deluded, completely contradicting himself.

each one for each one = every man for himself
everybody in it together = everyone together

I cant stand Liverpool as a club, its fans, players and everything. Watching King Kenny, Stevie Me and Carragha keep this going is brilliant!

Add to the fact they spent megabucks on completeley average players. I hope they get Torres back in the summer.

Look its final. Its going to finish Liverpool 6-7 Everton

5-0 to Liverpool at 61 mins, when they substitute Enrique after he scores his hattrick (all assisted by Adam)

Suarez also scores again to complete a hattrick to make it 6-0 (all assisted by Adam).

Then Tony Hibbert goes stir fecking crazy and scores 7 goals in 10 minutes to leave the koppites in tears.

    Bogdan
    Richards / Evans / Kelly / Enrique
    Moses / Dempsey / Silva
    Suarez / Rooney(C) / RVP(vc)

    Bench: Sorensen/ Rosicky/O'Hara/Santon

Would have probably started Santon but he's been subbed off at half time the past two games and not sure if Newcastle will shut out Norwich anyway.

No shouldnt think so. Walcott cross, looks like it came off Ramsey, then a Newcastle defender (not sure which) and then Vermaelen scored.

If anything really it should be a Walcott assist, as the Ramsey touch was an accidental deflection.

    Next week's jokers:

    Mignolet
    Caulker, Williamson, Kelly, Skrtel
    McClean, Young, Bale, Dempster
    Ba, RVP

    Bench: Vorm, Silva, Suarez, Santon

No one is too big for my bench. Fist of steel, holding prospects of lead.

Silva ain't doing it at the moment and don't see much against a tight Chelski. Suarez I only got in for the DGW, and offloading Adam > Young was a bigger priority.

But I still have a wildcard! No idea when to play it now the FA Cup wont be disrupting things,....

If anyone is interested, here are my tips and what I am backing at Cheltenham today.

1.30 Very open race, have a little e/w on Midnight Game 14/1

2.05 Sprinter Sacre worthy favourite, try and lump on at evens somewhere. If you fancy an e/w in this take a look at Cue Card.

2.40 Looks to be a shootout between The Package and Quantativeeasing, go for the longer odds out of the two for a value bet.

3.20 Hurricance Fly, again a worthy massive favourite, if you can find evens take it. If you fancy an e/w shot go for Oscar Wells at around 12/1

4.00 Uncle Junior probably has the best shout (around 4/1) I like the look of Maljimar at about 12's for an e/w

4.40 Quevega is nailed on at 1/2, Swincombe Flame is worth an e/w dabble.

    5.15 Trio d'alene is my nap. 11/2.
Also Harpsy Cord at around 16's is decent value for an e/w

Good timing. I was just pimping out my e/w accumulator.

Hurricaine Fly, Quantitive Easing, Sprinter Sacre and Montbazon

2 euro each way (4 euro total obviously) has potential winnings of 488.72 if all finish first

Sorry remembered the winnings incorrectly, according to the slip its 487.42. Not a bad punt for 4 euro, though the E/W bit offers a bit of security. I'm pretty confident with Hurricaine Fly and Sprinter Sacre. Quantitive Easing will challenge and Montbazon has a reasonable chance.

Scary similar to mine, identical front and mids! At the back I have

      Hart Mignolet
      Caulker Enrique Evans Cahill Simpson

I'm contemplating getting another Man U attacking player in somehow...

I am too... but don't know who to get.. I hate getting a player who is rotated. and SAF is a master in the art of pissing me off with rotation...
If I knew he was nailed on, I would do Silva>Nani... but I think I'll wait for next week, save a transfer, and than do:

        Skrtel> Some defender
        McClean/Sigg > Valencia (if fit)

    A) Keep current squad? (linked) and do a 4point hit (silva>young & p.cisse>odem)

    or

    B) Play the final WC to get the following?:

    Hart, Vorm
    J.Evans, Lescott, Caulker, Shotton, Ream
    Dempsey,Young, Siggy, Bale, McClean
    Rooney, RVP, Odemwingie

Not a bad WC punt, but your side's not at crisis yet, still looks good. Could keep your WC powder dry for a final April push...

    Rob Lethal

Last week we were discussing whether to keep Ba or not. I took a 12 point hit to get rid of Aguero, Ba, BAE and Sessegnon for Rooney, Holt, Young, Skrtel.

Happy to say the Aguero->Rooney more than paid itself off.

As a gunner I couldnt have been more delighted with our performance last night! Set a new record for consecutive wins from behind in the league 🙂

    Calling Attila The Bum!

As a Newcastle fan, I'm hoping you have some insight over Santon. I had hoped to start him for GW29 but after two 45 min appearances I'm starting to have doubts.

Should I be brave and play him? My other option is Cahill (away to Man City).

That's good enough for me man. I suppose he has to be a better risk than Cahill for this week.

I'll be looking to bring in Caulker instead of Santon soon.

Didn't have a lot to work with, didn't really get much of the ball.

Keep him for Norwich but then I'm tempted to get rid.

I thought he put in a great shift, worked very hard. I'd certainly keep him for the Norwich game if I still had him.

Worked his socks off trying to beat Verm and Kosc in aerial duels. One of Newcastle's main ideas for the night was to have Krul launch long balls that Ba was supposed to knock down for someone. It didn't work out that well because the defenders dealt with him well and he didn't have many to knock them down too.

Overall I said he did reasonably well in a tough away game. Didn't have any scoring chance what I can remember. Lucky to avoid a booking too, imo.

I'm definitely saving him for Norwich but he'll need to do well there if he wants to stay in my team. I actually think there is an outside chance of Cissé and HBA starting that game, but this is a complete guess.

Nah I think Ba will be safe in terms of starting. HBA should get a start too, he took his goal well and looked lively when he had the ball. He actually put a bit more of a defensive shift in too

He started poorly, with Vermaelen (!) beating him to the header three times, but picked up over the rest of the half. Gave the ball away a few times in the second, and I thought he faded. Loses interest when his side don't have the ball.

I disagree there, I thought his defensive work was very good for a striker. Always closing the ball down, putting pressure on and looking to link. As Garg says though there was no-one to link with as such, especially when Obertan was central in the first half.

I agree that for a period, he defended. Just the last twenty minutes, I was talking about. He has history when it comes to giving the ball away.

Disagree with this, he was knackered towards the end. Gave everything he had. Think he had a decent game that was never close to translating to FPL scores

Newcastle didn't really fashion many chances to be honest. Obertan had a poor game, which had an effect on the amount of ball Ba saw. I personally think he's sharp enough to grab a goal against Norwich this weekend.

I thought he was decent in the air too, if Ameobi (or possibly Cisse) had played from the start, there would've been someone to run onto his flick-ons.

Siggy. Definitely playing McClean ahead of him, and I can forsee a big reaction from City against Chelsea, Chelsea will also need to win that match to stay as close to Arsenal as possible, and so can't afford to play for a draw.
