Gameweek 29 concludes this evening with four of the top five Premier League clubs in action. The Dugout Discussion chatroom opens to absorb your reactions to the events as they unfold. The team news from all four games is in and, starting with the two games about to kick-off, are as follows…

Man City XI: Hart, Zabaleta, Richards, Toure, Clichy, Silva, Toure Yaya, De Jong, Nasri, Aguero, Balotelli.

Chelsea XI: Cech, Ivanovic, Luiz, Cahill, Cole, Mikel, Meireles, Ramires, Lampard, Mata, Torres.

A major blow for City is that their captain Vincent Kompany again misses through injury, so Micah Richards moves infield to partner Kolo Toure in central defence with Pablo Zabaleta returning at right-back. Despite previously claiming his career at the club over, Roberto Mancini has named Carlos Tevez amongst his substitutes.

As for Chelsea, Roberto Di Matteo gives Fernando Torres a chance to build on his two FA Cup goals from the weekend, meaning Didier Drogba sits on the bench.

Spurs XI: Friedel, Walker, Kaboul, King, Assou-Ekotto, Kranjcar, Parker, Modric, Bale, Van der Vaart, Saha.

Stoke XI: Begovic, Wilkinson, Huth, Shawcross, Wilson, Pennant, Palacios, Diao, Jerome, Walters, Crouch.

Several changes for both sides include starts for Ledley King, Younes Kaboul and Niko Kranjcar in white, whilst Jermaine Pennant replaces the injured Matthew Etherington for Tony Pulis’ side.

QPR XI: Kenny, Young, Onuoha, Ferdinand, Traore, Barton, Derry, Diakite, Taarabt, Zamora, Cisse.

Liverpool XI: Reina, Kelly, Carragher, Skrtel, Jose Enrique, Kuyt, Spearing, Adam, Downing, Gerrard, Suarez.

Djibril Cisse faces his former club tonight in a side that has spots for both Luke Young and Adel Taarabt. They replace Clint Hill and Shaun Wright-Phillips respectively. Kenny Dalglish opts to drop Andy Carroll to the bench, and he brings in both Charlie Adam and Dirk Kuyt.

Everton: Howard, Hibbert, Heitinga, Distin, Baines, Pienaar, Fellaini, Osman, Drenthe, Cahill, Jelavic.

Arsenal: Szczesny, Sagna, Vermaelen, Koscielny, Gibbs, Walcott, Arteta, Song, Ramsey, Rosicky, van Persie.

Steven Pienaar returns to Premier League action in place of the injured Seamus Coleman, and Leon Osman captains Everton because Tony Hibbert comes in for Phil Neville at right-back.

Another player facing a previous employer tonight is Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta, who starts in a side making one change from the home win over Newcastle – Aaron Ramsey gets the nod ahead of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

Just a thought ...after every batch of matches there are loads of managers on this site saying "Only 237, ... pre baps of course". Happens all the time. However, it's almost always a completely different subset of managers from those doing the crowing in the previous week, so whenever you are scoring 5 to 10 below those crowing about their score, you're probably doing OK. For anyone scoring 40+ this week, it's no disaster - chin up!! 🙂

Just venting my frustration at Liverpool.
King Kenny Out, what a f*cking disgraceful result. Winning the Carling Cup has certainly masked how sh*t we have done this year. Losing to Bolton, QPR and Sunderland amongst other is not on for a team that should be at least pushing for a Champions League spot. He’s also wasted £75,000,000 on 3 players in Henderson, Carroll and Downing with the latter getting his first premier league assist of the season tonight when he should be in at least double figures.

I've said this for a while Mull, Kenny has got away with far more than he should have done just by virtue of being Kenny. Back in the 80s he inherited a top quality side. Now he has inherited a side with a few decent players but has palpably failed to build a side. Short of Suarez and possibly Enrique he has not bought anyone fit to wear a shirt belonging to Liverpool FC and I say this as a United fan.

For all the stick Roy got was he THAT much worse?

      1) Why do you have a Man U player as your grav if you're a Liverpool supporter?
      2) He overpaid for British talent, yes, but his net spend isn't that high.
      3) Comoli identified Henderson and Downing.
      4) Dalglish makes mistakes but he has got us winning trophies and that will breed success.
      5) League form has been poor but we were very unlucky in games early on in the season.
      6) Losing Lucas was a huge blow as was losing Suarez.
      7) The side are creating enough chances, just need to sign a goal scorer and a winger in the summer.
      8) He plays much better football than Hodgson.

        1) FPL legend.
        2) and 3) Spending 35m on Carroll is still a disgrace
        3) Didn't know, sorry.
        4) Playing a full strength team in the Carling Cup helped out quite a bit.
        5) Unacceptable to draw so many games at home and to lose to the teams I mentioned.
        6) Agreed, when we played City, Lucas was exceptional
        7) Fair Point
        8) Agreed but we need someone better than Kenny still.

You can't fault him for spending £35m on Carroll really.

Torres said he wanted to leave with 2 days of the window left. If no replacement was signed then we would have been left with a half fit Suarez who might have needed time to settle and N'Gog.

Carroll was on fire at the time and even the likes of Fergie was singing his praises. Newcastle had no reason to sell so could demand top dollar, especially as they knew that Chelsea had just paid £50m cash for Torres.

Liverpool were held to ransom, but they had to sign someone and he's young and English so even if he flopped, he would retain a lot of the inflated value they paid.

You could also argue that Dalglish got £50m for Torres which seems a great deal now.

Carroll hasn't even been that bad. Improved in recent months and it's not his fault that Liverpool's crossing has been dire this season. He needs to make giant strides next season, but I wouldn't write him off just yet.

I'm annoyed with myself for drafting in Young this week instead of Valencia. Although I get Siggy coming off the bench, Valencia is clearly a better long term option than Young. I was put off by Valencia not even making the bench against Bilbao, and now I'm gonna have to waste a transfer to get him in.

I'm keeping Young for at least this week. May drop him week after for Tony V, but I think Young will play v Fulham, he's had a rest, Nani is still injured. Rooney and Young (along with Tony) will destroy a Fulham side that is poor away and probably low on confidence.

Posted earlier, anyone help?....Anyone know the answer to this? Our league has a cash prize for manager of the month. GW31 is split between 31 March and 01 & 2 April. Will the March filter option on the league standings therefore finish halfway through GW31 or will all or none of GW31 count? The answer to this has a bearing on any potential transfers.

ok folks now I’m really stuck for what to do, though I have decided that Chelsea coverage is not needed, they were awful tonight

    Mignolet

    Evans, Skrtel, Caulker

    McClean, Siggy, Bale, Young

    RvP, Rooney (c), Ba

    Schwarzer, Taiwo, Santon, Dempsey

    1 FT 1.7 in bank

Should I save it and lose Bale and Ba to Ade and budget option next week in order to get Theo in for Clint. Could then use the money to get in Verm and Huth/Kaboul or I could buy Sess and get Ridgwell

I know it's a killer, but I don't see many better options ATM until Ade is back or Torres finds some form. Thoughts on my plans?

No point keeping Clint this week if you're gonna get rid next week.

      1. Siggy off the bench

      2) Despite 9 points lost I will outscore guys chasing me (and guy I'm chasing in another league)

      3) Same, not much time to dwell on events.
