Papiss Cisse and Hatem Ben Arfa offer some food for thought to digest over the Sunday roast, sparkling with goals and assists in Newcastle’s win at the Hawthorns. With tomorrow night’s clash at Old Trafford still to come, our members can now soak up some of the key numbers from the Gameweek so far and get our view on where the Fantasy Premier League bonus points could be heading…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Guys, if you would be so kind...did Santon start and get taken off again after 45 mins? Or did he come on at HT? Thanks

Next week? Like, "at Utd" next week? -4 for Pog at Utd?

      No.

      But perhaps I misunderstand.

        At home to Norwich.

I would definitely want some Fulham for the next 2 games? For a 4 point hit? 50/50 call.

I'd wait for tonight's game. See how they play. Dempsey would be my man of choice but if you're still holding Ba it mightn't be a bad shout to get Pog in

Not a bad idea IMO. Could be a good way to fill the striker spot and maintain Fulham cover. However some say Pog isn't that great and his stats back that up somewhat

Righty, my initial thoughts ... Mata to Bale or Suarez to Adebayor...any opinions?
The one match I did see was Chel v Spurs and Bale looks like the only points gatherer amongst that lot

      Mata to Bale.

Suarez seems to have a spark of form, Ade's ... Ade, and who the hell knows what's going on with the geriatrics over at Chels.

I'm not a huge Bale fan, but of your choices ...

thanks KE..it just feels like I need a Spurs player, even though Spurs look slightly out of form. Mata has Villa(away) and Wigan(home) which look nice on paper but I'm worried about Chelsea rotation with the cups

Just looked at all those names for Ba as well and went in the opposite direction with Yakubu. Was hoping to use the extra money on a deluxe midfielder circa the 09/10 seasons for Silva but remembered Fabs and Ronaldo are long gone. Do I dare go for Lampard or Gerrard? Nasri?

Considering taking the WC option for my team, so I dont have to take hits.
Have already done Skrtel -> Verm. Any other transfers would be hits.

    My team:
    Vorm (Ruddy)
    BAE Verm Evans Caulker Kelly
    Bale Dempsey Sess McClean Young
    Ba RVP Rooney

    Thinking about transfering out:
    Young -> Valencia
    Ba -> Someone better
    Sess -> Walcott (possibly)
And maybe sort out other places. Whatcha think? Should I WC?

How easy or hard was FPL a few years ago? I didn't play this game then. Surely team selection was easier thenwith Fabs, CR7, Lampard, Gerrard etc to choose from.

was easier but a lot of the same names float around still. Back then rooney, persie, drogba and adebayor were fantasy big hitters, Dempsey was 6 mill and still banging them in!

Captaincy may have been easier, but other aspects were harder.

Fitting in the Holy Trinity of CRon, Lamps, Gerrard meant being very cagey elsewhere on the team. Also, If you were ahead in your league, it was great. But try making up points when everyone is captaining Ronaldo and he's banging in 40+ points a week. Diabolical, it was.

Adebayor Jelavic and Crouch the only 3 I'm considering.

Adebayor got man of the match on some websites the other night - and he could easily have ended up with a good haul. I've gone with a punt on Jelavic for the meantime though.

Just about to watch the game now, who looked the most dangerous?
I remember last week Cisse had something like 4 shots, 4 on target, compared to Ba's 3 shots, 1 on target.
        Although I have a foggy.
Think Cisse being cheaper sways it, gives me a sexy backline 😉

Yeah Cisse is definitely the better option. Got stretchered off with a bad bout of cramp but should be good to start next week. Ba played wide left for some reason so it resulted in the Cisse and B Arfa show

As someone said a while ago, the likes of Baines now become worthy of investment with our team values getting high and the expensive players not doing the business, added to the fact the cheaper players seem to be firing.
I'll be (most likely) doing Enrique > Baines next week, however, like Liverpool, Everton can be inconsistent against smaller teams.

He's way off form and carrying an injury, I'm glad I got rid for Walcott this last week, but I shouldn't have kept him for this long!

I really like Miyachi as a player, and I'm definitely keeping as I think he'll continue racking up the assists.

But does anyone else expect him to score? Great footwork, buildup play etc.. but the shots I've seen from him so far kinda suggest the finishing needs a little work.

    Thoughts?

        Wow one.
It's between Kaboul, Enrique and Richards for my last defensive spot.
Not planning on keeping Enrique even though it saves a transfer.
I guess when you also consider Richards might only play 3-4 of the 6, then it's gotta be Kaboul - who is due one of his rocket right footers to go in 🙂

It all depends on Lennon though, when he starts Walker stays deeper, but when it's VDV/Kranjcar on the right drifting in, Walker pushes up a lot more, like at the weekend.

      Enrique > Verminator

I think both Verm and Evans could keep a cleanie. Cisse is out with his red card for qpr so that might dent their attacking potential

        It's really 50/50 I reckon.
If you're convinced on Ade as your 3rd striker, then go for that one.
If you're looking for someone else to step up, go with Vermaelen IMO.

What if this was an option?

Walcott will be popular this week. If you are that confident then it's a simple decision. Wait until after the MU game.

    Love this..
    MJ6987 says:

    From BBC…

“Krul, Coloccini, S Taylor, Santon, Marveaux, Tioté, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Ba and Papiss = £34.5m. Andy Carroll = £35m”

To be fair some of those players were there before Carroll went away. But its clear that Newcastle made better re-investments with the money they god than what Liverpool have done:/

Remember that time about 4-5 weeks ago when I had to decide between Ba and Cisse and I picked Ba?

    Good times...good times

I feel your pain 🙁 In fact I think a lot of us had that same decision to make during the Jan WC

Ah yes ... those good times. I, in fact, shunned both and went for Zamora, only to be horribly disappointed and then shipped for Ba, only to be horribly disappointed, and now have Cisse ...

      ... cue horrible disappointment.
