What is the Members Season Ticker and how do I use it?

The most popular feature of Fantasy Football Scout Membership is our Season Ticker tool.

Once again, this will be available to use in the 2019/20 season.

It’s a fully interactive tool that allows Fantasy managers to analyse trends in the fixture list.

Members get the interactive ticker on their homepage to help identify trends of easy and difficult fixtures for each team over the course of the season.

This will be an incredibly important part of our research once the 2019/20 Premier League fixtures are released on June 13.

Teams are ranked for difficulty on the Scout’s own rating system which is continually updated according to home and away form as the season progresses.

Through a clear and tried and tested colour coding, the ticker allows members to immediately spot periods of easy or difficult opponents, allowing you to plan your transfer strategy throughout the season.

Members can now not only view this rating system, they can create their own by tweaking the values for each and every team, effectively allowing Members to create their own Tickers which are saved in the browser for each and every visit.

The new updated ticker introduced in 2016 also includes the facility to plot rotation pairings, offering further guidance on forming perfect squad combinations.

Get a full preview of the Members’ Ticker features via the movie below…

Good for those with NZ bowlers playing their bowling chip.

At least I predict lots of people complaining about it.

          Before Deadline
“OMG! MUst get Kane for home (insert shitbiscuit team), he’s gonna go crazy”

          Aftermath
“Damn Kane trolled me LOL, 1pt WTF is that, Kane to Kun for -4???”

I can see Mané being an absolute mega troll next season

Historically he’s been a 150-160 points a season man, a black swan event of a 230 point season was very out of character for him.

He’s always been explosive and has scored premier league hattricks even before arriving at Liverpool...

But 11.0 will be a serious price tag and I think it will weigh heavily on him & his owners at times

              (Could be wrong of course)

Re: Members fixture ticker. This is one of the few areas that can be improved in my opinion. It would be helpful to be able to set your own team in the ticker to see their upcoming fixture difficulty over say the next 10 games. Any plans on adding a feature like this ?

If Trent were to play every game next season, I 100% expect him to be top scoring defender. I got him last season at 5m but sold and had VVD, Mane and Salah for the run-in. Some regrets over not having Trent and Robbo though.

I don't think people realise how much of Chelsea's attacking output has gone to Spain with Hazard. Hazard was involved in nearly 60% of Chelsea's goals last season.

No other team was so dependent on one player, especially in the top 6. It's a bit like Man City losing both Aguero and Sterling.

Avoid Chelsea like the plague. Particularly if a new manager comes in and all the uncertainty this brings.

this seems to be the common view of the situation, I don't really agree. If they play a different style Giroud/Bats and probably Odoi/Pedro become decent options at a much cheaper price than Hazard was. Their team is still comfortably top 6 and won't have too many problems winning against the bottom 10 imo.

How many times did Hazard bail them out, though? They were so reliant on him to break the deadlock and actually get the ball in the back of the net in games they were dominating but not scoring in.

well if someone else was on the pitch instead of him how do you know they (or someone else) wouldn't have bailed them out? however you look at it, Chelsea's squad is still better than at least 14 teams (I'd still say 16 even without Hazard).

I agree with Virg. Thinking back to times when Hazard was out through injury, how often did Pedro or Willian really step up to the plate?

Willian one of the most underrated players in the prem. Always seems to show up when needed, never seen him make a fuss due to lack of game time either

it's not about one player though, it's about the team - not a huge sample but they won all-but-one Prem game that he played less than 60 mins in (exception being the last game) and I'm assuming they won plenty of cup games without him too.

As long as England can tighten up their bowling it should be easy to get to the semis. Not sure Plunkett should ever be dropped given his ability to take wickets during overs 11-40. I would look at switching out one of Wood or Woakes if wanting to play a second spinner.

England are perfect for the boundary chip. Really don't rate their bowling so even if they bowl first their batsmen will get enough to chase down

Even better if they bat first. Such a good batting line up

Neesham getting 5 wickets. Owned by less than 4% of players. Must be a few burnt bowling chips on New Zealand so far today. Probably needs Boult and Henry to pick up a few cheap wickets at the end.

Lot of luck in this game. The toss is massive IMO. Imagine if England had batted second and New Zealand bowled second today. Could be very different outcomes. But with transfer deadlines before a round you have no chance if it goes against you.

Yeah I would make a bet, only Germany of the favorites likely to be on their bracket and they looked mediocre today especially at the back. France and USA likely to be found on the other side of the bracket. England have one of the 3 best frontlines in the world only problem is theyre coming in with a few poor performances of late in friendlies.

The whole thing is "madness" from Chelsea's perspective, the tabloid added.

They say Dortmund have once again profited from the "irrationality" of the Premier League, as Chelsea splashed out 64m euros on a "positionally limited" player that, as a substitute more recently, has "stagnated".

        Poor Chelsea

The only good thing for Chelsea is that losing hazard doesn’t mean they won’t get champions league (where it once would have guaranteed it)

Man Utd & Arsenal are looking equally shambolic

Membership numbers have very little correlation with actual activity during off season. The membership numbers were probably higher this season than ever, yet its completely dead in terms of community.

Fantasy Football 247 has a very good community. In the main it doesn't take itself too seriously and best of all, you get none of the terrible trolling that crops up on here (especially when games are live). That side of things, unfortunately, is a real plague here.

This is a really good site, excellent articles and tools for managers to use, but there are some truly awful posters (I always assume most are about 12 and so try to calm myself rather than lay into them.)

The issue is that during the season the place is plagued by inane posters making cretinous comments. They disappear until the game opens again. Do do you prefer fast moving pages of drivel ?
There are other competing sites and media with FFS which have grown over the last few years and because some are members only individuals prefer to post there as the idiot contingent cannot frequent these sites.
These are testing times for FFS.

The point being that the site was never this quiet before, so what would your answer be to that?
The posters nowadays who just come on for constant RMT's and troll on matchdays are a healthier bunch with much busier and active lifestyes?

Maybe try a scouting competition to pass the time. Identify potential 1st teamers including new signings of the three promoted teams and give them points based on preseason and games until November break. A bit vague I know but I'm technically asleep....

Judging by the must win run of games city faced at the end of the season, and pep rarely rotating, is it safe to assume the following players are pretty much nailed on:
Laporte, Bilva, Sterling, Kun (and KDB when fit) ?
If so, I am strongly considering 3 of these will be appearing in every template pre-GW1

Obviously someone like Felix coming in, could change things around, but I think he could conceivably play kun, sterling, felix, bilva and KDB all at the same time regularly? Therefore Dilva being the one that suffers most?

It’s hard to know with Pep Roulette

Laporte - I think yes - beyond nailed now with Kompany gone

Sterling seemed to get rested every 6 games - but every team that matters will have him next season anyways as he is just too explosive when he plays and likely will be 12.0 max (unless he is reclassed in which case people have a decision to make)

Kun kept Jesus out of the team - no guarantees it will happen again as Jesus surely has a massive improvement in him at his age (and already has 27 league goals in 68 appearances - could see him being on 50 league goals from 100 appearances toward end of next season if things click for him)

I just find Bilva an underwhelming FPL option - ticks along but better value was always available elsewhere, and without restricting a city slot- but he may play an awful lot of games yes

I’m keeping my fingers crossed Mendy gets fit -will knock it out of the park from an FPL points perspective if he gets games imo...

KDB... sadly it looks like he’s got chronic knee issues - if fit surely nailed though - but recurring knee breakdowns on both sides are never a good thing surely

Thanks for the reply. In a draft league so want to get 3 in but will have to stick with them all season.
I'm currently thinking drafting one of sterling or Kun, then Laporte. Then layer in the draft if Jesus is still available (and considerably cheaper) taking a punt on him.
Think I'll avoid Bilva as he could get picked early anyway and KDB as I dont want to be stuck with him all season if injured alot again.

Wouldn’t worry with Aguero still around

Mark McGee is a worse pundit than he was a manager. Quite a feat

McLeish should start preparing for his media career to continue this fine tradition.

Never ceases to amaze me how many people continue to make a well paid living out of football when they have nothing to offer

Congrats to Turkey. Ozil will be pissed he couldn’t play due to getting married to the President. Or something..

The Norweigan guy who won the fantasyfootball247 league said this in an interview with the site:

If FPL 2019/20 started this weekend, irrespective of a hypothetical fixture list and using current prices, who are the first five names on your team sheet and which formation would you play?

I love this question. Right now, I’m feeling pretty set on starting the season with a back five. Fixtures might deter me of course, but right now I would go for TAA, Robbo, Laporte, Pereira and Digne. If I can mention a couple of attacking names, I would be looking at Tielemans and Jota. If the season started tomorrow, those seven players would be very hard to avoid.

You realise Robbo TAA and Laporte will all likely be 6.5/7.0?

Depending on fixtures, I think I'd add Sterling and Wilson to your list of defenders (I'm avoiding South American and African players).

It's not my list, but Sterling yeah. Salah too.

Wilson if still cheap, but expect a hike.

Hoping also that Sigudsson doesn't go up in price too much...
