The stadiums Qatar will make for the World Cup. People were asking earlier about what they will do with them after, they will be knocked down and recycled with the materials going to third world countries.

Yes, I'm surprised at Qatar winning but just to clarify in relation to their stadia:

1. They're renovating three existing stadia. Which is all they'll need after the WC. As now.

2. They're building nine new stadia in what I can only describe as MFI/IKEA* 'flat-pack' construction. After the WC the stadia will be dismantled, shipped off and reconstructed in 'poorer' countries. All at the Qataries(sp?) expense. That's what was unique about their bid and made FIFA moist around the gusset. Whilst Qatar itself won't have a legacy, nine other countries will.

* Yes, you'll have to hold a mirror to the assembly instructions, or they'll be in Serbo-Croat and yes, they'll be a key part missing, but you get my drift. 😉

I am English and am a little disappointed that we didn't get the bid. But it does make me laugh when I read some of the posts on here regarding the Russians and Spanish being corrupt, Holland and Belgium having 'no chance', Quatar being a 'shithole' and 'you can't buy beer there', Australia being 'nowhere near anywhere'......oh dear, we really do need to wake up and smell the coffee. Britain hasn't got a decent international football team in it, our premiership is FULL of foreign players, the world does not revolve around England.....I have lived in many different countries and most people think we are full of shit......I think I agree.....P.S.       I agree they are a massive issue but not as "huge" as people make it.
      And I actually think the WC will help social problems in the country.
      The average russian isnt in such a bad plight over there. I know many working class average families who live normal lives which isnt to say there are problems
      
      And Ukraine and Poland won with such issues.
      
      And on the list of candidates England would be 2nd on fans violence. Its an issue as seen by last night.

What are peoples thoughts on a Liverpool midfielder? Dirk is a bit dodgy but looking at Meireles chalkboards he seems to be playing more central and have a few shots at goal recently...same with Maxi. Obviously this might change once Gerrard is back that but that could be a couple weeks still.

Back to FF lads, sorry for England but I am pondering my next transfer and options are:

- VDV to MGP,
- VDV to Nasri
- Adam to MGP,
- Adam to Nasri,

At the moment thinking to do Adam (cause all the threats of postponement this winter) to MGP ang ignore Nasri. I will wait for Cesc.
