The Dugout Discussion opens for the concluding fixture of Gameweek 34, which sees 17th placed Wigan Athletic travel down the 3rd placed Arsenal. The team news for the game is in, and the sides line-up as follows…

Arsenal XI: Szczesny, Sagna, Djourou, Vermaelen, Andre Santos, Song, Arteta, Walcott, Rosicky, Benayoun, van Persie.

Wigan XI: Al Habsi, Alcaraz, Caldwell, Figueroa, Boyce, McCarthy, McArthur, Beausejour, Moses, Di Santo, Gomez.

A single change from the side that brushed Wolves aside for the Gunners, as Tomas Rosicky comes in for Aaron Ramsey in midfield.

Despite condemning Manchester United to only their fourth defeat of the season, Shaun Maloney isn’t in the visitors squad. Jordi Gomez replaces the Malaysian born Scot.

The Dugout Discussion chatroom is open and can be accessed right here.

Vermaelen assists/goal as well would be greatly received.

Just need Wigan to lose really. (Need them to lose the next 3 games really).

If history repeats itself (aka Wigan vs Arsenal at the DW) the goals will be produced through a Walcott run on the wing, followed by a cross and painfully accurate RVP left foot to the top-left corner.

Bet it happens in the 17th minute as well.

Which is when Wigan will start trying and destroy them 😉

Yep he made a lot of good points. I think a ban is a bit to far. Referees, like us, will watch the highlights and players who dive regularly will end up getting a reputation and it will go against them like Suarez now. He's fouled and it's not always given, hopefully the same will happen to Young now.

Need Walcott to go mental tonight. Got Arteta and van Persie (c) as well but so does my nearest rival in second place in my mini league so they're kind of irrelevant tonight. He's also got Song so as long as Walcott outscores him I'll extend my 73 point lead. 🙂
