Voting open for Football Content Awards 2020

Voting is now open for the 2020 Football Content Awards and there are more Fantasy Football categories than ever before.

After introducing a Fantasy category for the 2019 edition, there are now three sub-categories this time around.

Under the umbrella of Fantasy content, you can now choose the best video, podcast and editorial providers.

You can cast your vote using this link from the Football Content Awards website: https://footballcontentawards.com/2020-voting/

We would be immensely grateful if you felt as if you wanted to choose Fantasy Football Scout as the best in any of the Fantasy categories.

The complete list of finalists will be released on April 13 with voting re-opening on the same date. The finalists round will close off on April 30 at 23:59 and the winners will be named and crowned on Thursday, May 21 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Don't know about you lads but I'm slowly but surely getting used to no fantasy football and to not having to worry about the upcoming weekend and the transfers that I made working out. It's a fantasy detox that I needed. Like everything else will come back with a renewed vigour and hopefully a new enjoyment for the game.

What about the Bradford fire. Usually ignored with the Hillsboro talk. Have a look at the live footage on YouTube. You actually see a guy on fire.

Yes, it has had an excellent BT documentary done on it and presumably a lot of it being a lower league club, Bradford haven't had anywhere near the coverage of Hillsboro. Both horrific. Have seen the Bradford footage

Bayern getting some plum ties in those days..... but at least Norwich stayed ahead and won.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sj-d6pX-TP8

The scalps Dundee United (from earlier post) took back in those days was impressive.

Aberdeens win in '83 was fantastic beating Bayern in quarters after 0-0 draw in Munich, thrashed Belguim team in semi before beating Real Madrid in final.

Yes, Fergie breaking the Old Firm stranglehold then going to OT whilst in the aftermath of Heysel. Souness then gets a grip of Rangers and starts bringing in English internationals with the ban... eventually culminating in a Champions League semin final spot in the early 90s. Fascinating narrative

Lads I think I have the perfect solution where everyone is a winner. Get every premier league player, manger coach (obviously not Woy as he may die) etc and inject them with covid 19. Then send them off to Butlins for 3 weeks (they need to be entertained) in isolation. When they have all recovered the season can be restarted and everyone's a winner. Thoughts please?

As somebody not in an at risk group I was planning to carry on as usual as possible as well until I got the dreadful news yesterday that a cousins wife is in critical condition after contracting the Coronavirus (and her lungs have collapsed since then), she is only about 50 and I don't think she's got any underlying conditions. It's really hit home how serious this is now.

It’s a dark time - but there are some stories out there that almost verge upon being good news :

    - China report no new cases for the first time:

    https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-51955509

    - Germany have over 12,000 cases (12,327) with less than 30 deaths: (28)

    https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

    - Italy’s death toll, whilst utterly tragic and growing at a terrifying rate - has an average age of 79.5, a median age of 81 (80.5), and 99% of fatalities had at least one or more other underlying health conditions or illnesses:

    https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-03-18/99-of-those-who-died-from-virus-had-other-illness-italy-says

Two factors, which noone knows about:

        1) By keeping people locked inside, have all they done is suppress it to the extent it will blow up again once people are interacting again?
        2) Climate / temperature. Will it flair up again when temperatures drop down?

If everyone who’s had it recovers inside and can no longer pass it on

And all the other bits of the virus die since it can’t live outside the body long

How would it start again? Unless someone munches another bat

          Any preferences (have DCL/Jimmi)
Can’t afford Vardy so would be Ings/Abraham maybe even Rashy if back.

Are there any £4.2m defenders worth owning?

I have Simpson and £0.3m ITB so would be the easiest way not to burn a transfer

Upgrade to Taylor at Burnley, 4.3 maybe but at least he plays.

One of my mates, in an at-risk category too, has sent me a picture of the 50-deep queues at a major Tesco store in Leicester. Only two tills open!!!!!

Haha. Online either doesn't work or has long delivery date and when it turns up over half order not in stock.

The slots are completely full for the next two to three weeks. He lives alone. The irony is that he went at a time (6am) when he thought that it would be quiet. We're hoping to take him stuff over at some stage but we live 20 miles away.

What time is it where you are?

I'm guessing uk or ireland so early as f

These ppl need sleep aswell in the shops. 2 tills open at 7am seems reasonable?

People have been queing up half an hour before some stores open. This can be as early as 5.30AM.

Most 24 hour stores close at midnight now and open at 6/7/8AM

            Jesus that's mad!

I see Tesco here (ireland) are introducing a specific time that only the elderly and carers can enter the store. Hopefully this helps the issue

That's sensible - it doesn't yet seem to have been applied here in UK.

Yeah - UK. It does seem reasonable but the shop is massive, about 25 check outs (guesstimate). It's the panic buying that is unreasonable.

Took us nearly 5 days to complete what would be a normal weekly shop. Admittedly I probably brought enough food to last us 2-3 weeks.

I live in a small town that thankfully has a well stocked big Sainsbury's and a Lidl and about half a dozen smaller food stores, so actually its not too bad.

Plenty of milk, bread, eggs, cheese. Between these 8 shops should keep us going.

Trying to get South Asian stuff is another matter.

Problem is once it starts what can you do? If you don't also do the same thing you don't get anything

If the news today looks like games will be complete at some stage

I've 2 fts and need to use 1 before friday

      A. Woodman to button to bank .1
      B. Robertson to Maguire (frees up 1.7 and removes double pool defense)
      C. Robertson to Tarkowksi (frees up 1.9 and same re pool)

Burnley have ok fixtures but you’d worry what they have to play for being comfortable mid table. I’d do Maguire or 1st option perhaps best to bank 0.1 as players info will change a lot over coming weeks.

Dendonker to saka better than burning a transfer? exact money.
Big IF around if he plays with Tierney getting extra time to recover now but arsenal certainly will have a lot to play for when things get underway again.
