An update on Fantasy Football Scout Memberships

In light of the Premier League’s recent announcement, Fantasy Football Scout would like to remind readers of the situation for our existing members.

After more than three months of suspension, England’s top-flight will return on Wednesday, June 17.

Obviously this return date occurs after the usual expiration of Fantasy Football Scout memberships on June 1.

However, you can rest assured that all season-long memberships will be extended past this date and run until the conclusion of the 2019/20 season.

This means you will still be able to enjoy all of the benefits of Fantasy Football Scout memerbship, which include:

  • Plot your transfer strategies using the fully interactive Season Ticker.
  • Get projections for every Premier League player provided by the Rate My Team statistical model.
  • Use Rate My Team to guide your selections and transfers.
  • Continued access to exclusive members articles.
  • Analyse our own Opta powered statistic tables specifically tailored for Fantasy Football Managers.
  • Engage in discussion with other users on this exclusive content using Members-only comments and Hot Topics.
  • Use our exclusive tool to build custom stats tables from over 100 OPTA player and team stats.
  • Use our own powerful comparison tool to analyse players head-to-head.
  • Employ our brand new Flat-Track Bully feature to identify Fantasy assets with good records against specific clubs.
  • Read extra Members analysis in all of our Scout Notes for Premier League games.
  • Enjoy enhanced content in some of our Pro Pundits articles.
  • Study data from selected UEFA European Championship qualifiers and international friendlies ahead of the Euro 2020 Fantasy game launch.

Meanwhile, if you are on a rolling monthly subscription for a month that features no Premier League football, we are happy to offer a refund for the relevant period.

A refund, rather than a cancellation, means that you will not have to sign up again once the season resumes. If this is something you would like, get in touch with support@fantasyfootballscout.co.uk.

Cancelling your Scout membership will mean losing access to the Members Area, data, tools and any articles we produce behind the paywall, with the full list of benefits listed here.

Does anyone know if the transfers we made in the last few weeks will get removed and the game would be reset to gw29 teams?

Not a chance. There would be hell to pay if having told players they would have a transfer a week as normal they then cancelled them, especially as many without a wildcard used the transfers to compensate.

I'm don't think that fh in the first week is necessary if you can get 3+ dgwers. I might save it for the final week.

Think i'm leaning toward this too. Have 4 dgw'ers now and could get 1 or 2 more plus have playing 15. Can then focus on first 11 for remaining of weeks.

          6dgw + 9 others saving FH = 21 players

          11 dgw = 22 players using FH

Seems close, but then using BB at another time gives another 4 players.

Also I think I'd be reluctant to use BB week 39 when starting line ups could be strange before things are settled again, and not getting 15 playing..

          Just my thoughts anyway 🙂

But 2 of the 11 have to be Villa.

That is my plan, but might save the WC longer. BB will now have to happen whenever my bench looks strong.

You can't really plan any further ahead than GW39 until you know more about fixtures, but with what we know so far I'm thinking FH39, then WC the week before the next DGW which I will BB (if there is going to be one).

Are we sure there won't be doubles? Once European ties and FA Cup are scheduled there's gonna be some congestion.

I’m never going to feel 100% confident there won’t be doubles simply because of the real life situation we’re in. Surely the big concern has to be postponements because of Covid-19 issues. Maybe numerous players/staff fall ill, fans gather at a stadium, government intervention etc.

I should add I’m not 100% sure the season will finish. These are uncertain times. A second peak in infections could do a lot of damage. There’s a real danger people start thinking everything’s going back to normal.

If that happens though isn't it more likely it all gets called off properly (and PPG implemented or whatever)? I don't think there is scope for postponements due to teams needing to quarantine.

Is there any chance that they will have a complete DGW, putting one of the midweek rounds in with the weekend games? It would be lame if they did.

When they announce the fixtures, FPL should follow soon with the GW layout and if it is just single GWs after the first week, then I will FH, not least because if the fixtures pick up where they were, they aren't particularly appealing: 3X Liverpool at Everton, 2X ManU at Tottenham (alright, I know it is only this year's Tottenham but still).

    Thinking of a 433 FH for 39?

    Hendo
    Stevens / Baldock / Laporte / Doherty
    Grealish / KDB / Sterling
    Auba / Kun / Jimenez

Wolves my only single GW players as I like the look of their fixture..

For all you Virtual FPL folks -
I arranged two friendlies with Man City at home and Sane only started one. Sterling and KDB started both.

In the game Sane started, he scored twice but was subbed off after 63 minutes. In the game he didn't start, he didn't even come off the bench despite City trailing 1-0 for 70 minutes.

Seems like Mahrez is being rushed straight back in the team despite Sane's form. Hard to call what to do with him though...

In my Man C friendly they lost 0-1 at home. Sane didn't play at all. Mahrez was brought in from the bench after 63 minutes.

Fitness and form is kind of a lottery for every player, especially SGW players is what I'm thinking.

You can get a pretty strong team with 10 or 11 DGW players. I've come up with this on my current potential FH.

          Leno
          TAA Stevens Baldock Egan
          Sterling KDB Pepe Grealish
          Aguero Auba

With Trent as only SGW player

Wait to see if the fixtures allow games postponed by FA Cup ties to be moved to mid week, if they do Coronavirus permitting there won't be any more DGW's so I'd FH39, if not it could be worth saving FH.

Yes my relative who was the first person to be serious ill with the Coronavirus in Devon is out of hospital and on the mend, it's going to take a long time (18-24 months) to fully recover but at least she is out of danger now, and luckily none of the rest of the family contracted the virus.

Yeah, it seems the obvious time to FH for me...

...especially as this DGW is a known entitity and nothing afterwards will be.

Even future FH, it's going to be harder to predict who will play, due to some teams caring more than others, player exhaustion/injuries due to number of games and any players/teams who get hit by covid19.

This first gameweek is probably the cleanest week to deal with.

I've only improved from 59th to 55th in VFPL despite having green arrows for the last 4GW. How does this look for a plan to improve my rate of progress ?

Sane and DCL to Auba (C) and Neto,

It would leave the exact money in the bank for Auba and Grealish to Kane and Martial over the next 2 GW's

    Pope (Button)
    TAA, Robertson, Alonso, Egan (Burn)
    Mane, Sane, Grealish (Saka, Hayden)
    Vardy, Pukki, DCL

    2 FT's, 1.6m ITB

Yes I should have got rid of DCL instead of Ings 4 GW's back, that decision has cost me 13 points, and Sane instead of KDB 2 GW's ago has cost me another 21 points, so I'm thinking they are the two that have to go.

Sarr can be better against better opponents mate.
      Super fast, counter attacking player.

If i had to choose anyone in that price range apart from Grealish it'll be Sarr

Should have mentioned it's the virtual game but still, I'm not sure why I even considered Mount to begin with. Perhaps the fear of not owning a Chelsea player for their great fixture run, but Sarr can definitely exceed any Chelsea mid's points.

You not looking at Leicester too? Grealish out is on my mind but think I’ll give him a couple of weeks anyway.

The other option I’m thinking is Wolves cheapies. That allows an upgrade in defence.

I haven't played VFPL so can't comment on that

Are you picking him as a starter or 4th/5th mid? I did some analysis and suggest you consider John Fleck... In normal cases I would say Mount is the better player, but in a Chelsea team that will probably be 100% injury-free, Mount's time will be managed, I think, more than Fleck or Sarr.

Why frustrated with Grealish? Did he get injured?

Do people think that players who are usually better away from home will have the advantage in the remaining games given they are played without a crowd?

Good spot. I wonder if anyone already analysed if home/away factor still exists now in Bundesliga but I guess the sample would be too small so far...

Here they say that home teams only won 6 out of 33 games in Bundesliga which is 21%. They also suggest that the smaller teams suffer the most from this.

This is a thing i am looking into mate.

I have 0.7m itb. 5th midfielder is Luiz. I am thinking about upgrading to cantwell. But i think he's scoring in home games only (being a local lad maybe the crowd support is a catalyst for his improved performance)

They are better partly due to an away system playing counter attacking football

Say Liverpool win the next 2 games and win the PL, what do people think that means to who will play? Surely there is no point continuing with full strength as the league has been won and there is no invincible record to maintain.

I think they’ll want to get the league wrapped up ASAP in case everything gets cancelled again

So they’ll be going all guns blazing initially

After that - you’d logically expect a tail off - but those first 2,3,4 or however many games it takes to win it mathematically they will surely be in beast mode

Still records to be set and Mo and Mane with golden boot to aim for. A bit less hungry than otherwise perhaps - esp with no crowd - but I don’t see them holding back.

Some rotation but there again everyone will rotate.

There are records to be broken and they want to be the best English team ever. Klopp will likely not rotate very much

The usual starting XI will still need a pre-season for the 20/21 season (whenever it begins).

If we get a transfer ahead of 39 I'd have just enough for Auba to Aguero, worth it?

No Auba is guaranteed a double whereas Jesus could easily start 1
