The double Gameweek delivers. Tottenham’s four goal haul at the Reebok sees Harry Redknapp’s men share the Fantasy spoils, while Papiss Cisse adds two “worldies” to his incredible goal tally at Newcastle to silence Stamford Bridge.

Here’s our pick of the key stats from tonight’s and Tuesday’s matches, with the usual stab at where the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) bonus points will be heading…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Was planning on doing Ade & Cisse ---> RVP & Rooney -4pts. With both of them grabbing a couple of goals each it clearly complicates matters.

    So what would you do?

    Begovic (Krul)

Verm, Walker, Evans inj? (Richards, Rangel)
    Bale, Valencia, Pienaar, HBA (Siggy)
    Adebayor, Jelavic, Cisse

    A) Ade & Cisse --> Rooney & RVP
    B) HBA/Siggy --> ???
    C) Save transfer
    D) something else?

Can you afford Siggie -> Nani?

I would probably do Dave -> RVP (I am considering Rooney, but only because my rival has RVP)

Yep. Have loads of dosh but I already have Valencia. Cisse out is a viable option but I still fancy him and Newcastle to go well to try and qualify for CL

hmm, your swaying me to sell one of my strikers for RVP. Might be worth it but surely Ade has to go before Cisse, or should they both go for a hit

Yeah Ade > Rooney/RVP isn't a bad option but Ade could still go well against Villa who struggle at set piece and Spurs seem to have found their mojo again with two nice fixtures to end the season

Brought the gap down to 10 pts last night (from 21). Was thinking of taking a crazy punt and getting in Chico for Dave, but now not so sure. I don't have RVP or Rooney, my rival has RVP and will probably get rooney in this week. My defence this week is shocking (Terry, Turner, Evans). Should I get in rooney, or Big Verm? Or both (for a hit)

I think Verm is the only viable defender option as he is literally a 2nd striker. I would keep Cisse he can do just as well as Rooney plus Rooney hasn't done so well with Chico this year and he is likely to start this weekend.

There are plenty of strikers I would be afraid to be without this weekend.

Ade (avl) and they are terrible at set piece
          Jelly (wol)
Cisse (fixture proof, sublime) and the United fan in me wills Newcastle to win

Rooney (SWA) but will have to play behind Chico
RVP (Norwich) Yeah he should go well.

Where to go now? I've taken the lead in my mini-league, maybe by 20points or so after baps. The guy who's now 2nd has been top of the league since GW2 or 3.

    Migs (Krul)
    JEvans Komp Simp
    Demp VDV Valencia Pienaar
    Jelly Cisse RVP

    Bench: Siggy Enrique Caulk

    1FT. 5.8M in the bank

The obvious one is Cisse>Roon but I'm thinking of just getting in Verm this week for Caulker and playing him over Simp. Rival chasing me has Roon and Verm.

So fixtureproofness doesnt apply anymore? Check his stats. It doesnt matter who he plays. He gets 3 chances per game, misses one, bangs in the other two. Such has been the melody for the last 4 months.

+1. Ruthless is the perfect word.

In this game you need to know when to ditch in-form players, and when to pick up quality players like Rooney who have favorable fixtures, with a fire burning in his belly after the city loss. I reckon he'll score a brace. 😉

Have you seen Rooney play the last 2 months? Hes fatigued, and out of form, playing poorly. With Wellbeck out Chicha will come in i believe, which leaves Rooney even fewer opportunities. I reckon you`ll all be sorry after the game.

Good morning Fresca. Similar for me, if 3 baps come in for VDV, I will end the game week on a suave 101 pts, and that will hopefully see me finally reach a 4 digit overall ranking!

If quality and work rate is rewarded, Bale should not get baps - despite some glimpses of glory, it was maybe his most lacklustre performance so far this year. But then again, Danny Rose got 1 versus Blackburn, so who knows.

Wouldnt sell if i had (which i do), but if you can buy freely im not sure that i would buy him with the fixtures they have left. They do have motivation at this point though.

Meant it, how? I dont think he aimed for the far corner, i belive it was just instinct. Saw Cech was far out, didnt have the energy to take on 2-3 defenders after 90+ minutes and just sodding went for it. Absolutely fantastic though

In my honest opinion, yes. A player of his status i would not doubt to attempt that shot and score. If it were somebody of lower quality and unproven in the league say such as, Sammon from Wigan (LOL) I would say it was a complete fluke. But i give Cisse all the credit, incredible technique with the strike, and we have seen him do it time and time again. So yes, I DO think he meant to score on that attempt, regardless what others think.

Yeh when I say 'meant it' I just mean did he aim for the far corner or did go for the near corner but sliced it a little putting that spin and bend on it.

Anyway it's a moot point. A bit like when people were up in arms about Rooney's shinned over-head kick against city. It doesnt really matter- he's a quality enough player to give him the benefit of the doubt

Purely guesswork from me of course, but maybe he was more focused on getting it beyond Cech's reach, which probably means aiming for the top of the half of the goal furthest away in this case.

The more I think about it the more insane it looks to get rid of Cisse for an out-of-form Rooney. Take away his recent penalties and his form is actually mediocre to poor. Plus Hernandez might come in and push Roon deeper.

For me personally as well my DF is not looking too healthy with 2 yellow flags in the starting line-up. Caulker>Verm is looking more appealing even though I didnt want to make anymore DF subs this late in the game

Penalty against Villa, mind you. And, yes, i do realize. But his play has still been poor. And i think Chicha will come back in the team now which is bad news for Rooney.

Verm will hopefully do good this weekend. Which other defender would you want? Im thinking Riise to a homesick Sunderland, or Walker to Villa who just dont create/score. Walker also has a nice final fixture whereas Riise does not.

Only would consider Verm really. Great fixture and on a little goal-scoring run lately.

If it isnt Verm then I'd probably save a transfer than bring in a Fulham DF. Walker perhaps if I literally thought my team needed no more alterations in MF and ATT......but when does that ever happen

This season it seems like form has trumped fixtures.
I'm in the same situation and will probably pass on Rooney. Who knows, perhaps City has a let down after Monday's match... Plus Cisse is at home and learned it's lesson after the Wigan debacle.

    Pick One:

    A) Front 3 of: RVP-Cisse-Jelly + ManU mid (Valencia / Nani)

    OR

    B) Cisse -> Rooney making a front 3 of: RVP-ROoney-Jelly + Barfa

I'm afraid Barfa isnt proving to be adequate coverage for Cisse's mamoth points hauls. I'd lean towards A.

If you were me would you do Cisse>Roon or Caulk>Verm? Bearing in mind that if I do the Roon transfer now it will easily allow me to bring in Aguero for GW38 as well without having to take hits to generate cash

Yes, he was probably my worst transfer in. Couldve had Pienaar.

Plus i missed all his good hauls.

If i were you I would 75% still get in Rooney but wait until deadline to hear from Fergie first regarding the other striker.

Im still 50/50 on bringing in Rooney, the thing that's off-setting me is the rotation in the United mid atm. Such a random 5 that Fergie played vs City, with no Valencia 😆

That team selection might just have cost them the league. I mean, obviously he outranks me and hindsight is king, but thats just a poorly balanced team they sent out. Which makes me happy, beeing as i hate United 😀

100% A for me, and Nani for great differential. Valencia coming down a bit, and now Nani is back in it. United could go mental or Swansea could just pass it around, but i figure United will win pretty comfortably 🙁

Just inside top 4K, leading my minileagues. Probably just barely out of the FPL Open semis, by a point or two. Lots of cash in the bank:

    Krul(MCI)
    McAuley(bol)/ Verm(NOR)/ Kelly(SUN)
    Pienaar(wol)/ Dempsey(SUN)/ Bale(avl)/ Siggy(mun)/
    RVP (NOR)/ Cisse(MCI)/ Adebayor(avl)

    Ruddy (ars) BenArfa(MCI)/ Caulker(mun)/ JEvans(SWA)

Leaning towards move out Siggy for Nani? Or Valencia? United fans have thoughts on who would be better pickup?

I must admit, I'm still eying up Cissé to Rooney this week. I think Rooney has the better matchup and he scores well at home.

Either that or get rid of Jelavic, but my rival has Jelavic and doesn't have Cissé and is unlikely to bring him in now, so losing Cissé would hurt me less as far as my mini league is concerned.

Yeah. But all we have to go on is the half season that he has played. Who knows, it might be a fluke, and next season might be more difficult as defenders work him out. But if you consider that before the norwich game, pardew was saying that he was struggling to settle in, and couldn't speak a word of english, potentially next season he could be even better!
