Reluctantly creeping back into the studio, tail protruding between my weary legs, I cut a forlorn figure for the return of the ScoutCast. Nevertheless, after a two-week break, I brave another half-hour of bile and banter with host Mark to bring the curtain down on my season to forget.

The Samaritans listening needn’t be concerned. I was smiling by the end, if only to see Mark almost on his knees begging me to rethink any plans of Fantasy Football retirement. The very idea.

In between my whining, we give the season a post-mortem, speculate on next season’s prices and assess the tussle at the top of the FPL with another Scout winner still a possibility.

Get this one big miffed of a Scoutcast via this link or use the convenient little player below to stream away.

    If I bring in Petrov/Aguero for Dempsey/Cisse for a 4 point hit
and switch the armband from VanPersie to Aguero.
    Will
    Aguero + Aguero + Petrov
    score more than
    VanPersie + Dempsey + Cisse + 4

20 points behind going into this week.

    My team:
    Sorenson Vorm
    Simpson Terry Evans Turner Kelly
    Valencia Bale VDV Dempsey Siggy
    RVP Jelavic Cisse

    His team:
    Vorm Krul
    Turner Evans R.Taylor Cuellar Huth
    Bale Petrov Siggy Walters Sess
    RVP Rooney Jelavic

Trying to work out the best way to catch him, only 1 FT and 4.5 in the bank, pretty sure he reads this site so will go for a striker to Aguero, any ideas??

Bench HBA. Dempsey > Silva or Nasri could be worth a hit but it also could wind up as a loss. I guess it all depends on your situation. Are you winning comfortably, chasing or just playing for position?

Thank god it's nearly all over. Just one more weekend of frustration and bitter disappointment to endure. Speaking of which I'll probably have to play 4 of these: Siggy, VDV, Dempsey, Bale, Pienaar.

Cheers Jason! You could make a case for playing all of them, I guess, so dropping one is tricky. Unfortunately I have to spend one of my free transfers on a defender this week so I have to choose one attacking City player with the other, since I don't want to take a hit. Aguero seems favourite so that means dropping a midfielder.
I just have this terrible feeling that Spurs are going to make a bit of a balls of it....

I would bench dempsey. But saying that, it is an easier decision for a toon fan. Benching dempsey and playing pienaar allows me to hedge against what I want to happen in real life footy (ie dempsey to score lots and pienar to do nothing!!).

Going on FPL form you'd probably bench Valencia! I guess Siggy has proved himself and a lot of 'big' clubs are already after his signature. Pienaar has fired a couple of blanks the last two weeks but has been creating well.

I'm chasing a 15pt lead so looking at as many differentials as possible. My opponent doesn't have Dempsey so I really have to play him.

plus is it worth to take out dempsey for petrov? that would be a hit though, and although I want to protect my lead, it will be nice to get differential instead of trying to have a similar team with those chasing teams

with midfield of vdv, pienaar, maloney and siggy (all playing at homes), surely dempsey is the obvious choice to bench right

i know that city is playing for the title, but QPR will play their biggest game of the season, lose this and they will relegated. but yeah, on paper, city is playing a weaker team compared to spurs against fulham

Most people are going Kun this week. If I want to have a chance to break the top 1000 I am probably going to have to go Jelly to Tevez (capt) and Pienaar to Moses..

ok let us have the stats Ryan... It depends on whether you want to take a risk and be different though... My view is "he who dares" so am going Tevez.. no real diff to me finishing 2.5 K or 5 K.. Aim has to be try and break that 1K

Yeah I am defending a 15 point lead but I'm willing to chance my arm and try and dramatically improve my rank. Tevez could do the trick as most will get in Aguero.

Looking for help in desperation. Miles behind in ML about 50 ponts, so no expectation of making it up, but might as well have a blast trying.

    Current team

    Sorensen
    Caulker, Kompany, Verm
    Valencia, Moses, Barfa, DVD
    Roo, Torres, Ade

    Vorm, Surman, Simpson, Gabidon

    top of league has

    Friedel
    Turner, Verm, Caulker
    Valencia, Pienaar, Dempsey, DVD
    Jelly, RVP, Dave

    Hilario, Ferguson, Enrique, Jevans

He almost certain to do Jelly to Kun

Where do you reckon best options lie to make miraculous comeback?
Don;t care how many hits required, I can only go differentials to make up as many points as possible.

Bale for DVD? Get Chelsea mid - Ramires?

Its a lot closer between Tevez and Aguero than most people might think

    Last 6 games

Tevez: Mins: 362, Attempts 12, On target 8, Key pass 11, Through balls 7, Succ drib 6
Aguero: Mins: 518, Attempts 20, On target 9, Key pass 6, Through balls 1, Succ drib 13

I also assessed the last 4 games and 2 games respectively and the general theme is that Tevez is more creative putting in more key passes and through balls. Aguero is getting more shots away however is is fairly wasteful. Both have virtually the same amount of shots on target despite Tevez having few opportunities. However Tevez has also had less game time, so imagine what he could do if he was given the same time as Aguero this weekend.

Tevez's ownership is also significantly less. If they are a much of a muchness then surely there is no risk in going for the differential for that is where there is much to be gained.

Ade is also a good prospect this week so it wouldn't be worth a hit. Might be worth it for free but Aguero should give you enough fingers in the pie unless you are expected City to get 5 goals or something

If went for Ade would be doubling with Bale. Either 1 is -4 to get Pogs & Nani out. Tough call. It's double on City or Spurs.

I need a final set of opinions for the season, please, DeadZone! What is the best option here for the week?

    A - Jelavic + Dempsey + Siggy (no hit)
    B - Jelavic + Dempsey + Silva (-4 pts)
    C - Jelavic + Siggy + Silva (-4 pts)
    D - Rooney + Maloney + Siggy (-4 pts)

All would also have Aguero (c) in case you're wondering.

    Any thoughts?
